Jane glanced back at Cypher, giving the pup a sly little smirk. "It doesn't take much either..." Walking off, she followed at John's side.

John bounded around his mate, back to his usual energetic self.
Cypher shook his head, following the two.

Jane smirked slightly, watching her mate's boundless energy in action. "You should save that energy for work John."

"I'll have plenty left over!"
The pup bounded around happily. At one point he even bounded over his mate.
Cypher trailed behind, watching the two closely. It never hurt to take a few mental notes...right?

Jane ducked in reflex. "John! Calm down.." she growled in earnest. "Why don't you put that energy to work catching some fish or something?"

"...okay!"
The pup sprinted towards the river, finally slowing down once he reached the water's edge. From there John slowly crept into the water, watching the nearby fish closely.
Cypher walked up beside Jane, keeping his eye on the fishing John.
"...think he'll actually catch something?"

"No, but it's fun to watch him try," Jane smirked. Turning, she walked to a nearby fruit tree and collected some of the ripe fruits with a wing.

Splashes from the river signalled John going after a fish...and coming back empty pawed. But he wasn't going to give up so easily! The pup continued to move 'stealthily' through the water, going after fish.
Cypher snickered a bit at John's actions, collecting some of his own fruit.

Jane continued to gather fruits until there was enough for the pair of them. Returning to the riverbank, she gently made her way down the water and dipped the fruits in, washing the dirt from their hides.

John continued to splash around, finally diving under water. Seconds later, the pup came up, a fish wiggling in his mouth. John ran for the bank, happily dropping the fish down next to his mate and putting a paw on it to stop it's struggles.
Cypher's jaw dropped open, the oddly marked pup staring at John's catch in disbelief.

"It's alright John, you'll catch one next--" Jane began, assuming that the noise was her mate hitting the sand in defeat. Turning back to him, she stared down at the flopping fish, nearly dropping her fruit. "You....actually caught one?!"

John nodded happily, whole body trembling a bit from the water.
"Should I try for another?"
Cypher wandered over, carrying his fruit.
"...good job..."
The pup eyed the fish hungrily.

"I wouldn't push your luck John...." Jane suggested, eyeing the medium sized fished as she pondered how to split it up.

John turned, bounding back into the water after more fish.
Cypher took over John's guard duty by holding the fish down with his own paw.

Jane sighed heavily. Would he ever listen? Pulling a leaf over with her paw, she allowed the fruit to tumble down onto it and sat back to watch her rambunctious mate.
