((Are these the vampires from State of Decay?))

While the rest of the group gathered their resources in preparation for their exploration of the unknown planet they now found themselves stranded upon, Wesker slealthily scouted ahead. Upon his head rested a tiny crownlet - a Psi-Amplifier - which allowed him to send telepathic messages over longer distances.

Keeping hidden beneath the dense jungle vegetation, the rodent came upon a small clearing, where a gathering of seven humanoids stood examining an unconscious (or perhaps dead) woman. He could not hear their words, but sensed their psychic emanations of fear. Wesker decided to send a telepathic report back to the group: Mistress... everyone! I have located a small group of two-legs. They have the aura of fear.

There was a snapping sound behind him, as someone stepped on a twig. The rat turned around to see a pale-looking man spying at the frightened human-like creatures. The vampire gave off an aura of utter evil.

Beware! Wesker yelled telepathically. A bad man, a bad man!!!

((You can't die yet - you're the Master. And anyway we haven't found those explosives I promised. As for the Vampires - yes it was that episode I landed on. Is that ok? I haven't actually seen it, but I read the bit in the Eight Doctors book where it includes that episode and extra vampire activity. Um... obviously these are different vampires in the sense that it's a different planet, I assume. From the jungle and that.))

((Well... except for when they forget they're non-violent and kill people of course.))

*The Master, hiding beneath Sephy's skin, burned with impatience and frustration. His first plan had been thwarted, it was true, and he was now far away from Gallifrey and the Timelords he wished to destroy, but he was in a fresh, young body full of new ideas. Strange ideas. He had weapons and cunning - and the perfect cover.

He glanced around. The jungle was clingy. Although the shadows beneath the trees were cool and damp, the air seemed oddly oppressive. Trees loomed, plants tangled round the group's legs as they walked. He was just about to suggest that they give up whatever strange notion had made them come out in the first place and head back to the TARDIS when he heard an odd little voice in his head. So did the others - he saw their heads turn as one. Something nasty was in a clearing just ahead.

Before he knew what was happening they were all running towards it, clambering over roots, under branches and through tangled vines, heading straight into danger...*

*Lars didn't know quite why they were running but she knew that something was wrong. It had been the same feeling as when Wesker had been talking in her head, only this time everyone had heard it. They rounded a huge, gnarled tree and ahead of them was a clearing. They all ground to a halt, puzzled. There looked to be some figures in the clearing... humans perhaps. Lars stepped forward to take a look.

She heard a voice in her head - the rat again. She didn't hear what he said but she knew it meant danger and flung herself to the side just as something dark and angry dropped from a branch above her head. It landed across her legs and she gave a yell, hoping she hadn't really felt something snap...

The creature was on it's feet in an instant. It was a strange, humanoid creature, face thick with some sort of paint. It's eyes were rimmed in black and glowed hungrily, furiously. Like an animal, trapped by a ring of people. It leaped forward on the attack.*

(just to let you guys know, im going to Italy for a week, so i wont be on. Can you tell me whats been going on when i get back?)

Stunned by the power of Firestorm's dragonly might, the vampire decided that discretion was the better part of valor, and made a hasty retreat back to its lair. Masterfully leaping from one tree to the next, he quickly evaded his attackers. Unbeknownst to the vampire, however, a tiny telepathic rodent was clinging desperately to his robes.

Eventually they stopped at the base of a large mountain. Wesker decided to let go of the vampire's clothing, and came tumbling to the ground. While the rat quickly scurried off into the safety of some nearby bushes, the vampire walked swiftly towards what looked to be a spaceship that had crashed and embedded itself into a side of the mountain. Worriedly, Wesker wondered if he'd be able to find his way back to the TARDIS. Well, he did have a task to perform for his Mistress...

Mistress Lars! Mistress Lars!, Wesker called out mentally to the space pirate. Mistress Telwin wants me to inform you that she needs some mercury to make the magic box fly again. She suggests you contact the people of this planet to see if we can trade for some. After a brief pause, he also added: And when you're finished, the Mistress says to come to the mountain to pick up poor little Wesker!

Wesker sat atop a tree branch, bored. The thought occured to him that he could enter the vampire's ship and explore. But no, that would be dangerous. Hopefully the others would finish with this 'mercury' business soon and come back to fetch him. Yawn...

Then he heard the sound of approaching footsteps, coming from the jungle. He saw two other human-looking persons, dressed similarly to the evil man he had tagged along with. Both were female, and they seemed to be herding a small group of natives towards the direction of the ship. The natives all seemed to be children, and their blank, docile faces suggested they were either drugged or hypnotized.

The rat pondered what the bad people wanted with these children. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good...
