Rei saw Leon rushing fast down in the current, she made it to where the log was and ran out to the end of it. She hooked her leg between the trunk and a branch, holding on to the tree as if it was a set monkey bars. I have one shot, that's it. Rei flipped backwards, holding with her legs to support her weight, her arms were in the water and she kept an eye out for Leon. "Where are you!?" She called out, when she switched her position she lost sight of him.

Leon was almost unconsious form the current. He saw her hanging and with one last bit of energy he managed to grab her hand and freeze some water behind the tree stopping him from rushing past.

Rei gripped his hand with both of hers to make sure he wouldn't slip away. She bit her lip trying to keep a firm hold on him against the current, none the less she extended her arms fully and lifted up to get his head out of the water. "Don't let go ok?" She said over the roar of the rapids. Rei cringed, remembering her shoulder injuries, shifting her weight on the branch she swung her arms toward shore. If this idea worked it would swing Leon to the shore and she would be able to crawl off the log.

Leon was slung towards shore and as he was about to miss. Ice shot up and slid him back to safety. He coughed up water and roleld over. He passed out as his head lolled over.

Rei was relieved to see he made it to the shore and pulled herself into a sitting position on the fallen tree. She looks over to Leon and smiles slightly before moving along the trunk carefully to make it back to the bank of the river. Once there she walks over to him and kneels down next to him. "Are you alright?" She asks shaking his shoulder gently with one of her hands.

Leon graoned and rolled over. He coughed up some water. He looked up weakly. "YOu okay?" He coughed and passed out. His breathing slowed.

Rei was glad to hear him speak but was still worried about him. "I asked you first." She said with a smile in a whisper. Her first thoughts were to make sure he stayed breathing and to watch over him as long as he was out.

Leon woke up coughing. He coughed up alot fo water. He rolled over on his side choking. He looked upa t her his throat burning.

Rei looked at him with sympathy, not sure what she could do for him besides staying by his side. "You're alright?" She asked placing a hand on his shoulder.

Leon coughed. "my throat..hurts.." He coughed again and winced. He was panting. He looked at her and hugged her gently. "Are you okay?"

Rei smiled softly. "I'm fine, its not me you should be worrying about right now. Let's head back and get you something besides river water to drink, k?" She says standing up cautiously, offering a hand to help him stand.

Leon stood up slowly holding his hea dand taking her hand. "Thank you...." He almost fell down."I'm so sorry..."

Rei shook her head. "I should be apologizing, you just worry about staying on your feet." She said with a smile, hoping that he would be alright until they got back. "You think you're ok to walk?"

"sure..I...you might wanna get,,,your borther..."Leons eyes closed as he fell facefirst. He was unconsious.

Rei gave him a warm smile and kept a hold on his upper arm as he began to fall again, her grip kept him up slightly. I can't keep relying on everyone the way I have, this time I can do it. What if I can't, will it turn out just like last time, will they turn away from me? She began to walk, Leon's arm over her shoulder as she supported his weight as well.
