Invictus Draconius Kalsidius VI Draco took another shot even after Core didn't refill, he was on his eighth. He listened to their idle banter with a look of mirth about his face. He knew she talked, when forced to, when she wasn't she wrote. Knowledge was power.
"Actually your grade is hovering just over an eight. I can change that, for a price. Ms. Setia is one of my regulars, don't want to lose business if I have to." He was sure he could play both the Valentine's have Emerson pay him for pure and slowly round the bases with Amelia for the Juice. Hopefully it could go as smoothly as he just said in his head.
"I've slacked a little and have a seven, but I already have to work done to bring that back up. How are classes going for you Core?"

Emerson Valentine
"You know those quizzes of hers; she likes to just throw them at us."
Emerson shook his head, laughing in good nature. Inside, he was simmering into a slow, boiling rage. He knows my grade? What. The. ********> He didn't mind if people know his grade, in general, but this one hurt, just because he hadn't told anyone it before to begin with.
"No thanks; I'll recover it on my own. Borrow Amelia's notes, or something. She likes to writes in practically gibberish; some kind of mish mashed combination of a half dozen languages. She claims it's to keep people from coping her hard work."
He laughed again, knocking back more of the vodka.
"But damn, when you translate it, those are the best notes I've ever seen. My Milly likes to excel in school."

¤ xxxCornettaxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxVasquezxxx¤ My Ҫ ѳ я e コア Core looked away as the boys spoke to her, listening but not really there. She did not touch the refilled soda cup, choosing to ignore it and keep herself apart as much as possible. Her hands were still in her lap but tangled within each others' grasp now. The response to Emerson's question was on the tip of her tongue but Draco was already telling the jock about how he might be able to help alter his true grade. This had been pulling her out of her reverie slowly but surely until he repeated the other male's inquiry. Fortunately, Emerson replied before she could, providing yet another distraction for her. She was realizing that he liked to drink a lot but the comments about his sister's notes had snatched her slightly competitive side. Finally, it was her time to speak and Core could not begin to wish any harder for a third distraction if you please.
Her legs slipped back to the floor as she tried to find a less comfortable sitting position. "I, um, my grades are okay." Core grimaced slightly at the lie but she could not exactly tell them that she was acing most of her classes with tens and a perfect in Art because it was Art after their recent confessions. Then again, it would seem obnoxious to downplay her hard work to them especially if they already knew about it. With a loud sigh, she picked up the neglected spiked soda cup and tried this again. "Well, they aren't just okay. I'm doing pretty well in my classes as would be required of my reputation." That was it. They did not need anymore information. She drank from the cup, enjoyed the warmth as it slid down her throat and looked from one to the other. "I am working on a new project though for that Art class. It's the end-of-term piece." Stop talking! Another sip and another glance and Core willed herself to shut up. »I'm in a mood.
Proceed with caution or not at all.«

Invictus Draconius Kalsidius VI "Well good thing we only have band together." Draco would be to tempted to take her notes and make a profit off them. He leaned back and realized he had finished half his bottle. Well I'll have a hangover in the morning, oops. He capped the bottle and turned when Core spoke.
"At least one of us is having some luck in class. What are you working on, what kind of piece?" Draco usually bought a piece of work from a senior, at least that's what he did his sophomore and Junior year and this year would be no different, except he was certain the artist would be Core. He had seen some of her work and she was an amazing artisan.
"I'd love to see it when its complete, I'm sure you've heard about me buying a piece from a senior, done it last two years, planning on doing it again. If they make it big I can say I bought their first work." Draco laughed lightly as he stared into her violet eyes.

"Yeah, good thing."
Emerson's vodka thick voice made it quite clear that he didn't like the idea of them being together, even if it was just for band. He gave Core a smile and decided to ignore Draco, shelving him and his potential problems for later. Maybe I'll give Sean a call and see what he can dig up on Draco. You can never be too careful these days...
"I heard you were pretty good in school. I just wished we had more classes together. What's the medium? For the piece you're doing, I mean."

¤ xxxCornettaxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxVasquezxxx¤ My Ҫ ѳ я e コア Core took a few minutes before answering Draco vocally. She was doubtful that he would be interested in her present work. Her hands had taken her from painting to crafts and now, she was combining the two for a less than conventional project. "It's different," she said at last, choosing her words carefully. Her lips twisted to the side at his mention of wanting to see it when it was complete. It did not matter to her if he had bought pieces from seniors past. "Don't you think that that is a bit of a gamble? What if they don't? And don't tell me that you're just that good." The alcohol was speaking, a smirk on her face. Damn Dane. "Because you're not. I am not revealing it until the art exhibition in a few months after exams. Until then, it is under wraps and horribly not finished."
Her eyes flashed over at Emerson quizzically when he talked about them having more classes together. Another question about her piece. Why had she brought it up in the first place? Oh right, she had been certain that they would not care. So much for that! The smirk left just as easily as it had come, giving her some seconds to formulate a proper response for the other young male. "It's, um, a multi-medium piece from painting to crafting and a bit of sculpting. Actually, it's quite a ton of sculpting. Definitely, this is my most challenging piece since I have tried to incorporate a lot of different styles and whatnot." Now, the proud artisan was speaking. "Anyway, how is everything with your sports, Emerson? Oh and congrats on the game today. I don't think that I mentioned that since you came over here." Slowly, she was relaxing again and allowing herself to enjoy this foreign atmosphere. It was not so bad if you landed on familiar ground. »I'm in a mood.

Invictus Draconius Kalsidius VI Draco listened intently and was intrigued immensely. Something that combine mediums and styles. It was sure to be impressive. He pulled out a business card and set it under her glass.
"Call me when the show is going to happen. I'll want to see the crowds reaction to the piece before I buy it, but I'll still probably buy. Oh and I'm just guessing. Even if they don't get big, I've got some nice pieces to fill my home when I settle down." He reached over took her hand and kissed the top before sliding out of the booth.
"Core, it has been lovely. I have an appointment in the morning and I must be getting some sleep. Emerson, always pleasant. See you both around." Draco bowed and left, taking his half finished bottle of Jack.

Amelia Valentine
Sleep was eluding Amelia; she could feel the thump-thump of the head-ache growing worse. Damn it all...With a small sigh, she rolled out of bed (pausing to let the spinning world return to its proper axis) and padded barefoot over to her roommate's desk. Caroline's fan blew against Amelia's shirt, blowing the two sides of her unbuttoned shirt wide, like she was flying, so that she was flashing the empty room. Or rather, Em's shirt that she'd stolen from her twin to use as a nightshirt. Her search wasn't fruitless; Amelia found a superscription bottle of some green pills. Ah, painkillers. She knocked back three of them with a bottle of water.

Emerson Valentine
Emerson barely noticed when Draco left, grunting his acknowledgment at the departure.
"Will you have a private show, sometime soon? I want to see it. And your other stuff, to."
He grinned proudly when she mentioned the game. Emerson took a shot from the Vodka celebration. He refilled Core's half-empty cup, tipping the balance of soda and alcohol heavily into the flavor of the alchohol.
"Thanks. Those boys didn't know what they were getting into. Honestly, I don't know what Steering will do when all the Seniors are gone; the only people worth a damn on the pitch are the seniors. Well, the keeper is a junior, but you know what I mean."
He wasn't entirely sure that Core would; most people who weren't in the sports world didn't understand the finer points of the games. Amelia was the same way, and she was his twin.
"Everything's fine; I'm just sad the season's ending soon. I do track for the school in the off seasons, and some other stuff, with Amelia to keep in shape. But it's not the same, vous savez?"

Invictus Draconius Kalsidius VI Draco was walking on the grass next to the girls dorm, not paying attention. He turned his head looking into black windows and then a flash of light caught his eye and turned to the window and looked in, blond hair, pale skin. Amelia. She popped three pills from a bottle and he smirked. Smoked some weed and you wouldn't have that problem. With careful steps he walked through the hedge to the window and knocked on it lightly. He could get in, he had to be able to get occasionally.

Amelia jumped when she heard the tapping; to her, it sounded more like explosions. Belatedly, Amelia pulled her shirt close; it's hem stopped high on her thigh, but ever gesture to modesty, right? She padded over and opened the window half-way.
"What are you doing here?"

Invictus Draconius Kalsidius VI "Looked like you were trying to off yourself with some pills. If that headache is still bothering you have something better for it, oh and you can't overdose on this." He produced a blunt and pushed his way into her room without asking. He sat on the ledge of the window still holding the blunt.
"Just trying to look out for my brand new violinist. If you don't wanna smoke we can go back to my room and just sit with the vaporizers on." Draco wasn't sure if he had told her about the vaporizers he had running.

¤ xxxCornettaxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxVasquezxxx¤ My Ҫ ѳ я e コア Core watched Draco's movements silently. She did not even mutter a word when he kissed her hand; behaving as though it were the most natural of exchanges. His words did not matter to her as much as he probably thought. She knew that she would not sell to just anyone. If you were not family or a close friend, the applicable rule about her art was watch, touch but you cannot have it. Her head inclined politely as he left finally, leaving her with Emerson the Jock. She shook her head at his question immediately.
"You can't. It'll take a while before I'm finished and there are some materials to get still so no, you can't." The alcohol was ignored as he continued speaking, this time about his sports. Honestly, she understood what he was saying but considering that it was not her main field of interest, Core found herself doing the patronizing nod and smile at the boy. "Well, of course, it would not be the same. The intensity in training would always be more than regular exercise. Then, there is the thrill of races and football games. I'm sure it's quite the high to give up." Core blinked at him before sipping at her cup once. »I'm in a mood.

Emerson smiled at Core's patronizing tone. He didn't mind too much that she looked down on him; it didn't matter. He could probably out-class her in anything he attempted; he just didn't feel the need to rub it into Core's face.
"You don't like letting people see your s**t before it's completed? Why? Amelia's always telling me half of art is watching the creative process. You're practically handicapping my ability to enjoy your art, by denying this."

It's just three. But Amelia really wasn't in the mood to argue. She backed away from Draco letting him inside, and closed the window after him, not wanting to loose her A/C. She shook her head at his offer of the blunt, and immediately regretted the motion. Amelia closed her eyes and pressed her fingertips to her temple again; she tried to focus on a grounding thought.
"Vaporizers? You have vaporizers? Good golly, what for?"
