it seems that some of you were communicating outside the thread when this was not supposed to happen as it really unbalances the game

(creates masons, allows mafia/town to form strategy, ect)

I know you guys are used to it and that's why I let it slide once

Haru and Makenzie apparently were in communication during Day 1
I found out during Night 1

I'm SUPPOSED to modkill them for that
but that would have ended the game and no one would have really learned anything about this style except that it was "hard and boring and strict"

so I let it slide which was another slap to the Town even though it was after the fact

there were a lot of factors that just turned this game into a badly balanced game
some of them were my fault and I'm really sorry about that sad
my only defense is that it was my first time making/modding a game and I just wasn't as prepared for that as I thought I was

I hope you all had some fun anyway and maybe in the future we can try again sometime
for now I think I'll just play some more Mafia and get a better feel for the game

I screwed up the only thing that could have kept the game somewhat balanced gonk gonk

the only comments I really have about the game are that I thought it was sad that MarioLuigi
probably the best town player in this game got killed on Day 1

this partially may have been because haru and makenzie were communicating/coordinating when they weren't supposed to

but still

and the whole LPS/dragn engineer thing has me squirming because I knew that was entirely my fault and wasn't supposed to happen

once everyone is done talking about the game/giving me a well deserved flame or two I guess this can be locked and moved

That's generally why we have two mods to a game.

Ah well, better luck next time. I liked the roles and the game style, but please take the commitment a little more seriously when you run another Mafia. sweatdrop I'm sure one of our more experienced mods, for example, would have been more than happy to help if you didn't feel confident in your skills.

i dont think thats fair of you to say he tryed his hardest and i know you have standered but how does anyone get better if they dont try LPS AND I TAKE PART BLAME WE SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN TALKING DURING THE DAY

It's not like I've never made a mistake. I once got my PMs mixed up, told a Mafia member a Townie's role, and had to restart the game. We all make mistakes, but it's our responsibility to come out and say when we've made an oversight and not let a game continue if it has been unbalanced by a moderator mistake.

Riv didn't find out till now, so that's fine; I was only pissed cause I thought he found out the first day and kept going without telling us - that would be untrustworthy behavior on a moderator's part. In the future I would suggest double, even triple checking your PMs before you post any official results. Remember, when you are modding, your word is the law; you gotta make sure it's accurate for everyone's sake.

Sorry for being harsh. I misunderstood; I thought you had tried to conceal your mistake. I think you did a good job for your first time, and with a little more practice and attention to detail you could be a very good mafia moderator.
