Of all the things he could do, killing himself wasn't one. Although he definitely would be there soon. Just a matter of minutes before his life was forfeit. He was screaming at himself. His body just can't leave this world. He had become too attached to Celaes. It was useless. He was alive. Just in a near fatal coma. ╚══════════════╝ ...Turning animosity into admiration'

Celaes sighs with relief as she picks up a weak but steady pulse from Devault. Her relief is short lived though, as she hears the cautious approach of more wolves. Celaes retrieves her arrow and places her weapons on her back then returns to pick up Devault's unconcious body, careful not to touch his wounds. Once he is safely placed in the branches of a sturdy oak, Celaes runs to find her brother.
"Alex?!"
Her heart skips a beat when he doesn't answer.
"ALEX?!"
To her horror, Alex runs out of the nearby bushes with a wolf hot on his tail.
"Alex the trees!"
He shoots her a panicked glance and heads for the nearest tree. Celaes whips her bow out and shoots the creature through the head as she notices two more pairs of gleaming eyes in the bushes parallel to her.
"Crap..."
She grabs her arrow out of habit and hurries up the tree after her brother, leading him to the tree where she left Devault. Together, the three of them sit in the sturdy branches as the rains pours down through the leaves. By now most of the blood has washed off Celaes' face and she takes the opportunity to reveal Devault's supply pack. Glancing at his unconcious form, she winces apologetically.
"I thought you'd come find me if I borrowed this...guess it's lucky I did."
Alexander sulks in the branch above them as his sister begins to clean Devault's wounds; three deep gashes across his torso and several minor scratches on his face and hands.

'Wars could be adverted with communication... ╔══════════════╗ Devault slowly opened his eyes. He was done. He was finished with this life and just wanted to move on. But he couldn't. He was anchored to this life by Celaes. He grabs a dagger he found to his side and stabbed a wolf that was behind Celaes.
"It seems I am always the one to save you." He coughed out. He immediately went into a coughing spell. He could no longer control his body. "You have to get out of here. I can handle them." He pushed Celaes out of the tree and he himself leaped down.
"Go!" He yelled at her and he readied his daggers. ╚══════════════╝ ...Turning animosity into admiration'

Celaes blinks in surprise as Devault lashes out at the air behind her. She looks at him questioningly and he murmurs something. His eyes grow wide and his pushes her out of the tree. She curses and grabs and branch, glancing up just long enough to see him preparing to jump down after him.
"Alex! Stop him!"
She struggles onto the branch as the wolves below the snap in frusteration. Alex pushes Devault back against the trunk of the tree.
"Uh...Celaes?"
Celaes manages to get back up onto the branch and up to where Alex is holding Devault back. She thanks him silently and gently grasps Devault's shoulders.
"Devault? It's ok, relax. We're safe, the wolves can't reach us up here."
She talks to him quietly for a little longer, glancing behind her in confusion as to what he could have been stabbing at.

'Wars could be adverted with communication... ╔══════════════╗ Devault stares at her coldly and points down to the left of where they were sitting, at a bout 4:00. Three more packs of wolverine-forms.
"You have to go. I can handle a few puppies." He said. "No matter what, I could never live with myself if you died. I can take them. Just go now." He said softly. He leaned to her and kissed her for what he expected to be the last time and he flipped out of Alex's grasp down to the forest floor. He pulled out his daggers and whistled to the wolves.
"Come and get me." He said ╚══════════════╝ ...Turning animosity into admiration'

She pales slightly as he jumps down onto the forest floor.
"Idiot..."
She readies her bow and prepare to jump after him, but Alex holds her back.
"Alex?"
He stares at her coldly.
"You really do love him don't you?"
She blushes a bit, then nods.
"Yeah, Alex. I do."
He nods, his face void of expression.
"Alright then."
He pushes her roughly against the trunk of the tree and leaps down into the mob of wolves below.
"Alex!"
She struggles to go down to the both of them, but her jacket is hung on the branch above her.

"Why are you here? I thought you hated me?" He smirked
Aliena scouted the woods. She heard various growlings. Anything that lead her to Devault. She frowned. She knew about Celaes. And she wasn't happy one bit. ╚══════════════╝ ...Turning animosity into admiration'

Alex glares at him hatefully.
"I do."
He points upward to the struggling Celaes in the tree.
"But she loves you. And she's my sister."
Using his anger as a tool, he stabs a few wolves near their eyes with the dagger Celaes gave him.

Alex glares at him from the corner of his eye.
"Just don't get yourself killed alright? She'll need you after this..."
With that he ran about the reduced pack, getting them all to chase him further into the woods and away from Devault and Celaes. He turned for a split second to yell to his sister.
"Love you Cel!"
He ran off into the darkening woods, the wolves trailing after him. Celaes struggled all the more violently.
"ALEX!"
Tears ran down her face and she cursed the Gamekeepers repeatedly.

Celaes finally manages to break free by tearing off her jacket. She jumps to the ground and sprints off after the two, tears blurring the edges of her vision.
"No, no..."
Alex pants as the wolves snap at his heels. He's vaguely aware of Devault chasing after him, but he's a ways behind him now. Adrenaline pumps through his veins as the first wolf pounces on him, knocking him to the ground.

'Wars could be adverted with communication... ╔══════════════╗ Devault rips his knives from his holster and dives and nearly flies through the air. He slashes the first wolves throat, but he can't manage anymore in his condition. He falls to the ground and only manages to kill a second wolf before he can't move. A wolf has pinned him. He finally thinks that it is over, when the force of the wolves claws are released from his arms. He hears several wolves whimper. He looks up and sees her. Aliena.
Aliena retrieved her whip from her side and whipped the first few wolves and pulled an arrow from her quiver and stabbed tops of three. She attached another arrow to her whip and ran a number through with that. She ran in front of Alex and curb stomped another wolf's head with her heels.
"Sorry I'm late." She said to Devault. ╚══════════════╝ ...Turning animosity into admiration'

Celaes skids to a stop and surveys the scene. All or most of the wolves are dead and Alex and Devault are sprawls on the floor. She doesn't notice the new tribune until a few moments later. Dumbstruck at this new addition, she stares at her a moment before the cold rain seeping through her thin linen shirt breaks her out of her reverie.
