I take my armor and cape off, no use with them. In a city, they would more hinder me when I needed to be extremely nimble, and they would weigh me down. I leave them, and unpack the small shirt I had folded in the armor. I put them on, and then tuck the cape in the armor. I unzip the pocket on my leg and deposit the two Antilaws I had, then the protein chew bars. In the other I put the canteen. I place the quiver back on my back and then leave my campsite. The ash was everywhere, making the city look like a big powdered doughnut. I shake it and go exploring. She could not have left us with no water, food would be a problem, but it was most likely a rat based diet from here out. I take the day to explore, making a map when I could with a pencil and parchment I had found in an old postoffice. Then I come to a bar. I slip in, check for alcohol, and find some. I pack it away, as it would be useful for disinfecting wounds, should I need it. I mentally check over my inventory, and when the day dusks, I head back to my campsite. I find it undisturbed, and organize the supplies. It would do for some time, if I needed to, I could always find food after killing some one. I take out a chew bar, eat half of it, and get to sleep.

I wake sometime during the night. That is when I know what I must do. I get up, grab my bow, and run to the nearest window. By the time I am running, the transformation is happening. I hit the window, and in the shattering glass, the transformation takes place fully. The glass hits the ground, but I am not there. No, I drop onto the building across from the shattered glass. I aim, and loose and arrow. Suddenly, a dead body looking exactly like me hits the floor. I smile. That should give Gaband a distraction. I turn and leave everything that was not in my pockets. My shirt was different, my pants were the same, but my purple hair and black eyes would make everyone think I was different. That is when I wonder if Logan would keep his promise and keep the promise. He would be the only one who did know who I was....

Vertusk wakes, his head pounding. He stands up, and the memory of Sara decimating his realm hits him. "NO!" He stands and walks a few feet, but he falls to the ground. His eyes were gone, he could feel the blood dripping from his empty eye sockets. He feels his beard, and his hair. He could feel the color, and it makes him jump. His bones felt old, withered. "Sara..... Grr!" He limps off, and finally makes a portal, regain use of what magics he had. He shows up in the shadow realm. Announces who he is, and they eye him. "I am Vertusk Khilack, GODS DAMMIT!" They wait, and he shakes his head. "Sara did this to me! Please, I beg of you, help me clean up before my wife sees me like this." He uncovers his forehead, and they are carrying him off. An hour later, freshly clothed, wily beard and long hair taken care of, he walks in to see Yuki. His eye were covered with a blindfold, but he could feel the blood still running down his cheeks. His moon was in full view, but he doubted he needed it, she should still know its him. "Yuki, how long has it been, since I was last in your presence?" He asks, half scared she would turn him down. He could not see her, but he could hear and feel her. It was enough for him.

The night drags on as I wait for the threatening clouds to douse the flames with rain. I kept an eye on the camp I previously had, until someone came and stole everything. I had left it then, and found a new camp in a low laying building. I had enough arrows to last me for a while, they would do better than anything else I had. I also had a small combat knife I picked up, that would also do well should I need it. I doze until the sun comes back up.

Yuki says nothing, either shocked, or she does not recognize him. Vertusk's face drops a little. He recognizes J from an earlier meeting with some Alliance high up, feeling the power coming from him. He sweeps the room with a hand, three people besides Yuki, the girl, and J, they seemed to be watching with mild interest. He shakes his head. "Yuki, it is me. Even with the gray hair, the withered bones, it is still me. You have to believe it. I had been ripped from Atlantis as it was destroyed. But Sara's magics still got their affect on me. You have to believe it. Please"

BAM BAM BAM! I keep running as the doors get pounded to nothing. Gunshots fill the air and I am forced to jump from the window. My eyes look over everything, and I spot a place to land not too far of. I fall onto it and then take off running. The building beneath me explodes. I am sent flying through the air, and hit a wall. Sliding down three stories, I hit the ground below. I look up to see Hitomi. Her eyes had anger, and no recognition of me. I try to say something as she comes up, but nothing comes out.

Vertusk lifts his daughter. Then looks back to Yuki. "I am old now. Yuki, I will understand if you decide to remarry. You need a stronger person to be by your side. I, I don't believe I can be that person." He turns away. "I am blind, I am withered. I am old, my magics are spent. I am about as useless as Merlin was on his own death bed." Blood soaks the blindfold as he cries, producing fresh blood mixed with the tears. He puts Everest back to the ground.

I watch her hands, and close my eyes. I could do nothing, my body would not cooperate. I just grab the Antilaws from my pocket. I hand them to her, and then open my eyes. "T-t-take these. You will find the power to use them, at the right time." He falls silent again.

Vertusk sobs silently, and then he has Yuki by the back, kissing her passionately. He grabs her in his arms, and takes her to her room. Someone takes Everest away, and he lays there with Yuki. "I- I do not know what to say." He wanted so badly to do what they did many years ago, but refrains. The feeling he was having was extremely weird.

I squirm a bit. "I can not say who I am. But..... You know me is all I can say, Hitomi." I mask my voice a bit. Enough that no one really trying to hear it would not question, but she might. "Those will tell you when to use them, and how." I could not tell if she was still planning to kill me or not, but I eye his bow on the roof, three or four stories above. The wind picks up, just enough, and I catch it as it falls to the ground. But with no arrow. I again hope this will spark her recognition.

Vertusk thinks. "I do not know. But I do know that I will be there to help you overcome it." His voice was deep. Another advent to Sara's powerful magics. "That I will be." He closes his eyes.

I get up, and limp following her. When I find her, I grab the alcohol from my pocket. I open it, and drip some in. She swats at me, but I keep it up. Then I rip a part off my shirt and then put it on her wound. Then I wait for a few minutes. I look up to her. She had a dangerous look in her eyes. I shake my head slightly, and lift the makeshift bandage off her wound. I lower my hands, look over my shoulder for a magical camera, then I let a white light out. It covers the skin of the bullet hole, making a thin film over it. The film gets thicker, and when I am sure it will hold, I sit back. I hurt all over, but still. "Your too pretty to let you be hurt, you know. Even when we fought, I still had that feeling when we fought." I reach up to her hair, despite the low growl in her throat. I smile and then my hand goes back to my ribs. I broke a few on that fall, I think.

I get up slowly, and make my way to a ladder. I look back at her. "The Antilaws, use them when they tell you. Corrupt Judge Hitomi." He climbs slowly. Logan would be most likely muttering on how I could do this, so I laugh. I get up to the roof, find my quiver and fall to the roof top. "Ungh...." I pass out from the overexertion.
