Yami had listened to Oz sing his song but he was still crying a preferred to be left alone for the time being, What Vincent had told him played again in his head as well as the screams of that night like a broken record player and he could hardly think about everything else. The bathroom door remained locked and it was going to stay that way.

Oz felt heartbroken when his lover didn't open the door for him. He rested his forehead on the wooden door, a giant pang of pain jabbing him at every sob. After a minute of waiting, he turned to find his father, whispering to Faye to tell him why he reacted in that way.
Faye sighed before taking Oz's place at the door. She'd do anything for her little brother. "Oz told you about Cid, didn't he? And you tried to cheer him up? It's not really that easy. You can't just dive into conversation like that. You have to easy in slowly. But even then he gets upset. He hardly notices other people's sorrows; only his own."

Yami still didn't say a word...Nor could he hear any words at all. He was far to depressed to really care about the outside world right now or anyone in it. "Mother? Is that you at the bathroom door telling me to get out of the tub before my skin wrinkles up? Okay I'll be out in a few...And tell dad to make my favorite miso soup...not too much salt okay?" He was far gone...

Faye furrowed her brows at the words he muttered. What in the world was he talking about? She's better get in there before he does something really insane. Kneeling down to one knee, she reached into her boot and pulled out a set of lock picks. Carefully and quickly, she picked the lock open and entered the bathroom. After waving a hand in front of his face, Faye decided that, instead of trying to slap him awake, she would splash water on his face. And she did just that; she ran her hand under the tap, cupped her hands so that water gathered in her palm and doused his face and hair with the freezing cold liquid.

Yami's body shivered from the icy cold feeling that hit his body. "Mother...I said I was coming out in a few minutes! You didn't have to do that you know? You're so cruel..." Yami grabbed a towel and wiped himself off. "I'll tell father about the miso soup myself then...Women..." He walked out with a cold stare on his face and walked up to Oz who was still talking to his father and he gently tugged on his sleeve.
"Father? Can you make me some miso soup without a lot of salt? I tried telling mother but she poored cold water on my face."

Oz looked very confused at this as his brow furrowed. "Yami, what are you talking about?" He looked up at Faye when she came out of the house. "Faye, what is he talking about?" Faye threw her hands in the air as she caught up to him. "I have no idea. I tried to talk to him and he started to spout nonsense."Vincent was currently standing at Cid's grave, not really paying attention to his son's words as he gazed down at the picture of his lover. But when Yami came, talking to the father who no longer exists, he turned his head to look at the poor delusional boy. He knew exactly how he was feeling; the day after Cid died, he saw Roma as his sailor lover. At this realization, fresh tears gathered in his eyes. He really did watch his parents die. And he just helped push the last bit of his sanity. "What have I done...?" He murmured, his tears now slipping down his cheeks.

"Hm?" Yami looked up at Vincent as he saw him cry. "Sir? Why are you crying like that? Do you need some help?" Yami looked at Oz again. "Father...do you think this man can use our housephone? Maybe you can make him som miso soup as well! We can have him over for....The fire..."
He looked in the other direction as he saw imaginary flames in the distance and the man that was doing it.
"Father! Call the cops! That man is going to burn the house down! You and mother are going to burn!" Yami was shaking Oz and tried to get ahold of Oz's cell phone.
"We have to make a police report!"
Then a few mnutes later he fell to the floor.
"It's..too late...You're bodies are burning...because I couldn't get to the phone on time....It's all my fault...I ran out like a coward and left you to die while I lived. I'm such a horrible son. I let my own parents die..." He started to cry as he sat there on the grass.

Oz tried to calm him down as he freaked out. "Yami, calm down! It already happened! Yami!" Before he could fall to the floor, he caught him in his arms and held him tightly against his chest. "Gods, he's gonna kill himself if this keeps up!"
Vincent couldn't help but stare at him wide eyed. But, then, something came to mind at Yami said. "...Wait... He thinks that he let them die. He also thinks that you two are his parents. Make him think that he did the right thing."
Oz stared at his father in shock at his rational thinking before going with it. Kissing his forehead in a fatherly gesture, he whispered to him, "Yami, you did absolutely nothing wrong. Didn't you hear us?"
Faye paused to speak, not really fully understanding what she should say. "... Yes, didn't you hear? We begged you to get out. To save yourself." As she spoke, she gently stroked his hair, trying to make it as motherly as she can.

"No I...didn't hear you say that...You were screaming help. You never said anything about me and I should have called on the phone....I'm a failure..." Yami pulled away from them. "You're already dead the lot of you! Stop talking to me! I killed you!" He ran off back into the house, straight for the kitchen.

Oz grabbed his wrist before he could run away, whirled him around and slapped him in the face. Grabbing the collar of his shirt, he shook him. "Yami! Snap out of it! We're trying to convince you that it wasn't your fault! Wake up!!" In a last ditch effort to get him out of his delusions, Oz pulled him in towards him and kissed him passionately.

Yami's eyes went back to normal as he closed his eyes and made the kiss deeper. The tears stopped and he was out of his little nightmare realm that he gets into when he's depressed. "Hnnnnn...." He wrapped his arms around him and held him close.

Vincent, to say the least, was shocked by his son's boldness. He couldn't stop the blush that went strait to his cheeks at the scene before turning around to give them a bit of privacy in this intimate moment. But that wasn't the only reason he looked away. He hasn't been intimate with a man ever since Cid died. Just seeing two men together made him think of the man who's grave he was at. But as he turned away, he turned to the picture. He was about to look away from that when he recalled something his lover said a while ago before he died. He say every time before departing to not be sad if he were to die. And every time, the gunman promised. But, always was he expecting for him to die out at sea, never next to him in a hospital bed. Upon coming to this realization, he slowly lat out a small laugh as more tears flowed down his cheeks.
Oz, having been so caught up in the kiss, heard his dad and thought he was sobbing. Slowly breaking away from the kiss, he looked over at his father. "Dad, are you still crying? Please, everything will be fine. Don't cry anymore."

Yami started to laugh as well. "He's not crying anymore Ozzy...He's laughing. Wait...wait a sec...How the hell did I end up outside? Wasn't I just in the bedroom talking to him?" He didn't remember a thing that had happened but maybe it was best that he didn't.

Oz couldn't help but stare in shock at his father before hugging Yami to him, burying his face into his hair. "It's fine, love. Just forget about it."
As the two lovers shared their exchange, Vincent knelt down at the grave, wiping his eyes. "God, Cid... I've been so foolish... And dare I say idiotic?" With another small chuckle, he placed a hand on the cold stone, although, somehow, it seemed warmer now. "Can you ever forgive this selfish moron for not keeping to your promise?"

Yami decided to forget about it as he continued to smile. "Well it was still very very...odd..." He giggled as he once again looked over at Vincent. "So..What's for dinner?"
