Spent my days with a woman unkind,
Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine.
Made up my mind to make a new start,
Going to california with an aching in my heart.
The surface of the water on the other side appeared to be a large fountain in front of the house, which felt particularly strange. They didn't feel coming up through the cement, but after they reached the top the water was only so deep again. It took a moment for Cairndeer to adjust.
To their left and right there was a beautifully kept lawn, fancy shrubs, flowers and the like. In front of them, there was that magnificent house. It appeared to be filled quite full with people, perhaps a party of some sort was in progress, which led the elf to wonder about the significance of this particular place. Why had the Window shown the Faun this? Turning to look behind him, his mind dropped all thoughts of where this place was.
Because behind them there was a little bit of lawn, and then nothing. He stood and walked closer to the edge. Looking over, but holding onto a safety railing next to him, he saw nothing for a long, long ways. This entire house and its grounds were floating thousands of feet in the air.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Again, the nobles emerged, this time realizing their soaked state and drying themselves instantly. Looking around, Hrothbert was the first to notice the location of the house, and (true to form) called up his Sight, looking for whatever magic held the house and grounds in the air, if it was magic at all. Whoever had designed the spell must have been clever indeed.
Meanwhile, Emma was casting about her senses for the Faun they had been seeking.

Remus surfaced on the other side of the water. He got out of the fountain and observed his surroundings. He wasn't sure how the house fit into Kaok's past or psych. She hadn't ever told him about such a place. Then again, he had begun to wonder how much she hadn't told him.
"So, should we see if anyone is home?" he asked nobody in particular.

Chris shivered and looked around,
Seeing it on midair Chris gasped in shock.
"Its..Floating!??" She didn't understand it at all,
Just then her stomach growled.
"Great..."

"I'm pretty sure they are." James nodded, pointing to the silhouettes of people dancing happily inside. It certainly wasn't Kaok's scene at all, but maybe it was her Faun half's, who knew. Amongst the confusion, she might not be seen anyhow, so she could have slipped in unnoticed.
"This level of technology - or magic, I suppose - can't be found anywhere on Gaia." Cairndeer continued after regarding the place for a moment. "Kaok hadn't ever been off-planet before she moved to Rome, so this can't be part of our time-line, or if it is it must be in our future sometime. So try very hard to blend in - I have this feeling that these people won't be as easy to dupe as those villagers."Someone told me theres a girl out there

Remus could see that they were all soaking wet after leaving the fountain. Wouldn't be too much of a problem though. After all, Emma and Hrothbert had great magic at their disposal.
"I think a change of clothes for all of us would be more convincing. I think some dry, well dressed guests would be more convincing to the doorman than our current state." he said to the nobles.

Both nodded, turning to the rest of the group. With whispered instructions and incantations, the nobles managed to weave a net around the entire group, sparkling with woven blue and violet, hovering inches away from the skin.
"Step into the net and think about whatever disguise you intend." Hrothbert finished as he stepped back from the spell.

The doctors stepped into the web - though both were a little hesitant at first. Evros and Cairndeer were now clothed in formal dress, quite a step above their soaked, filthy lab gear. Kaok's human half tried to think of something that would fit in, a dress of some sort, but all she really cared about were finally being able to wear shoes - trekking through a forest barefoot had been hard on them, but she didn't want to be a whiner.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Looked around at the party guests and saw their fancy outfits,
She stepped into the net and thought about a outfit similar to the party guests outfits.
It was light blue gown with white high heels,
Her hair was in a pony tail, Eye covered by a simple looking eye patch. Her lips had a soft pink lipstick, With blush the same color.
"I'll have to remember this outfit, Its beautiful!"

Remus thought about what he wanted and stepped into the net. He reappeared moments later wearing a very nice military dress uniform that had several medals. Remus decided he would have to enjoy it while he could, because it probably wouldn't be long before his nice outfit was ruined again.

Emma stepped out of the net, clad in a forest-green gown complete with emerald drop earrings, a golden serpent bangle with emerald eyes and sleek black heels. A belt of gold chain links circled her waist, complementing the golden embroidery that ran up her legs along the panels of the gown's skirt. Hrothbert had changed his attire to a tailcoat in the same sleek black as Emma's heels. A royal blue waistcoat and silver pocket square completed the ensemble. "Shall we, milady?"

The human girl now felt terribly under-dressed, but tried to make up for it in confidence. God help me.
The group would find that there were two brutish men, clad in all the fancy clothing that they were allowed. And though it was almost completely covered by their sleeves, the girl could see that there were some strange devices attached to their wrists - were they bonds? It didn't seem right...
But the men didn't seem to notice that she had seen.

Remus offered his arm to Kaok's human half. It felt a little awkward, almost as if he was going on a date with another woman. However, Remus wasn't about to enter a fancy dress party without a girl on his arm. He looked at the doctors and the nobles, wondering if they would give their actual names or not.

The nobles had already taken up roles. Emma was hanging on his arm, low-cut gown giving the guards a full view of her chest. Their wedding rings had been hidden by their glamour.
"Ambassador Andrew Donnel." he replied, looking over a pair of recently-conjured glasses.
"And his...escort, Liliana. Last names cost extra, darling." She winked at the guard who had asked their names.
A subtle gesture of a hand and the guest list would find several new names printed upon it.

Elrond. The doctor was almost going to say, but decided against it in the end, instead choosing the elvish name he hadn't gone by in quite a long time. "Neurion Gondaras, and my two wives."
It was obvious to those in the party that he was kidding, but he gestured to Chris and Evros quite seriously.
"Mallory and Christine."
The guard, trying not to offend him, went along with it for the most part. Evros refrained from interjecting, but discreetly jabbed the other doctor in the ribs.
