Raven tilted his head at the bizarre confession presented to him. He never expected such timidness from someone so outgoing. These words though in the end could not lessen his self hate over the whole moment. He should have known better or at least not have been so straight forward. It would be quite awhile before he regained the courage to do anything like that again no matter the girl. He made sure to maintain his distance away from the Kirlia before speaking again. "I'm really sorry, I, uhm, didn't...mean...to be...male." He couldn't recover from what he was about to say after he began speaking; undoubtedly regretting not having chosen his words better before running off with an awkwardly drawn out and embarrassing sentence. Truly though, how was he supposed to reply to such a statement as that.

MandarinAn apology as strange as that one managed to earn the smallest of smiles. Mandarin didn't look at Raven, but she nodded slightly to show she'd heard. "I-I'll b-be fine in a m-minute... I j-just n-need to... recover." She mumbled nervously, trying to focus on slowing her breathing, and calming herself down. Gradually, the little Kirlia felt calm again, although she was still shaking a little bit. "I guess th-that's something I'll have to work on if I'm going to stay here..." She sighed rather sadly. "If I want to be anything but a burden to the team... I need to be strong." The Kirlia mustered up the courage, and looked up at the Lucario. "...Please don't... leave me alone because of this. I want to be your friend... I just need time..." The Psychic-type felt her heart twist with fear as she looked him in the eyes. This would take a great deal of getting used to, but it would be worth it, if it worked. Maybe one day she'd be able to have what others did. That... bond.

"I'd love to spend more time with you. I mean we're on the same team and all now. We kinda' need to get along." Raven noted after the Kirlia before him seemed to be calming down slowly. "...Just as long as you aren't mad at me or anything." He had to add, even after the reassuring words that were shoved in his face it was just natural for him to feel responsible for such a show. "I'm completely fine with taking things slow." s**t wording fail! "As friends of course~." Goooood save.

MandarinMandarin shook her head. "I'm not mad, Raven..." She replied, listening as the Lucario stumbled over his words. He clearly was about as experienced at socializing as she was. "As friends." She agreed, stepping slightly closer, but not quite touching him. "I think we both need to dry off a little. Want to head back to the room?" The Kirlia asked quietly.

"You can always teleport back if you need. I don't mind walking alone." Raven suggested, fully understanding that touching was out of the question therefore it was unlikely for him to be a passenger. He ended up taking a stride forward as he spoke; it was truly getting chilly out and it was even unmanageable for him at this point.

MandarinThe Kirlia seemed concerned, and shook her head. "If you walk, so will I." She replied determinedly. "...Being afraid wouldn't make it any less wrong to leave you to walk home by yourself." The Kirlia glanced around, and pointed. "I think it was that direction we came from..." She paused, looking the other way. "...Or was it that way...?"

Raven sighed as it seemed there was no persuading the Kirlia before him otherwise. He felt useless for being unable to do anything to help her while he was dragging her down like this. Things just got quite a bit worse when he too realized their location, or lack there of. "Uhmmmm...." He let his voice trail on in confusion, putting a paw up to his mouth as he pondered. "The guess is all yours~" He passed the decision on to Rin, ensuring that he wasn't it wasn't going to be his fault again when they end up completely lost.

Mandarin"...Umm... Well, I guess we'll try that one, then." Mandarin decided, a flicker of her usual, light-hearted nature reappearing in her voice. "All roads lead to somewhere, and somewhere there's a map we can read." The Kirlia giggled. Investing in a map would definitely be a good idea. She led the way off down the path, her long, slender legs shaking a little bit from the cool breeze.

"Sorry that it took so long for us to get out again..." Raven apologized as he cautiously strolled into the field of natural springs hand in hand with Rin, making sure along the way that he was not moving in any hazardous way so not to spook her; she having just gotten used to any contact with him what-so-ever. He was truly trying his best to keep this fire going here and thus far he felt terrible that he was sick for so long; this explaining his somber words. At least this time around they were prepared for the adventure and got to their destination much quicker, accompanied by a set of towels over the Lucario's shoulder.(This RP is set before the time of the chapter at the moment, sorry if this causes any inconvenience but this was planned for quite awhile.)

MandarinMandarin smiled, shaking her head in amusement at Raven's sixty-second apology. She'd been counting the number of times that he'd apologized to her that day, and the total was beginning to get quite high. "If anything, it was my fault for making you walk, Rae." Rae. She'd thought the nickname was cute. Raven wasn't used to it yet, and the expression on his face made her giggle. Still holding Raven's hand in hers, she edged toward the water, lightly dipping a foot into the warm liquid with a happy sigh. It would feel so nice to have the hot springwater around her again. Although she was extremely reluctant to ruin her precious kimono, so she might end up just dunking her feet in.

Raven tilted his head in amusement at the nickname presented to him. He saw nothing wrong with it at first though it wasn't that pleasant either, but since he got to call her by something other than her real name constantly it evened out in his mind. Just as they arrived at the water's edge he proceeded to go about his usual process of stripping without modesty before setting his pants off to this side; this time making sure of knowing exactly where it was before sliding himself into the water so not to splash his company. At the moment he didn't realize Rin's reasoning for not fully delving into the water, far too content in his own moment of relaxation to take notice. "It's, uhm, really nice to get away from the team like this every once in awhile with you..." He noted, derpy smile apparent on his face as he made a truly endearing confession.

Mandarin"Same here, Raven~" The Kirlia replied, this time being careful to avert her eyes as Raven slipped into the water. She waded in, before settling on a large rock, and dangling her slim, delicate legs down into the hot springwater. That smile of his... It was like looking into the face of a small child. Just innocently happy. She grinned back, adjusting her kimono. "I love getting away like this. It's just... it feels great to have time for just the two of us...." Rin looked embarrassed, staring for a moment at her fingers. And now that she'd mastered her Teleportation skills, she wouldn't ever have to worry about being in danger again. Not that Raven was much of a threat. She trusted him. More than she'd ever trusted Tristen.

Raven seen no problem with his love's water-logging of his hand-made kimono, understanding entirely that she had the modesty which he lacked completely. Though through his male eyes he seen her concern as more of being insecure over her body, which he also seen no sense in, rather than the truth of her hurt past which left her in this feeble state every so often. None-the-less he respected and didn't ask about these actions for the time being. "Well it's the only alone time we ever get without making a big scene." Raven noted, alluding to the epoch in which Kai nearly scarred their whole team for life due to a simple misinterpretation. "Hope they don't get the wrong idea whenever we come here..." He let his voice trail off in concern, pondering the fresh idea in his head. Why the hell did his team have to have the generic pervert running amok.

MandarinRin shook her head with an embarrassed smile, and she kicked her feet, splashing Raven. "It's just Kai. You know how he is better than I do." She replied, her crimson eyes meeting his with a knowing grin. "The others probably won't take him very seriously." She assured him quietly. She was about to say more when the muffled sounds of footsteps echoed from somewhere behind them. "Bloody Hell, Tristen... This is taking forever. Can't we just stop and ask for directions?" "Hmm." "I don't need f***ing directions, you fool. I know where I'm going." "So you say." "SHUT THE HELL UP!" The shout of a Blaziken echoed across the springs, and Rin dove without hesitation into the water with a terrified shriek. "What was that?!" A Gallade appeared beside the Blaziken, looking straight at the water. Rin ducked behind Raven, shaking in fear. "Well well; how nice it is to see you... Mandarin." A Hitmonlee appeared beside the pair, and both of Tristen's followers stared in surprise at the Kirlia. "Tr-Tr-Tristen..." She murmured in horror, clutching tightly at Raven's arm. "...She's hot." "Mhm~" "She's mine, boys. I'm sure you remember that much." The Blaziken growled.

Raven gave a feral growl to the situation at hand, understanding completely the conflict that was about to ensue if they didn't get out of here quick. "We were just leaving." He announced to the group of new arrivals, picking up the fearful Kirlia behind him before lumping out of the water in one graceful movement. This whole time making sure she was not visible to the group but that being the case left his back wide open. He didn't even stop to worry about his pants or gun for that matter; at the moment some things were far much more of a priority.
