Irish wasn't even at the comm link...He had fainted ever since the nuke went off. He had woken up afterward, but konked out again after seeing Killdozer nearly kill his daughter...

"Dad!" Kelly barked now, wiggling the Hellspawn away from the Commander and trying to continue on it's own at a faster pace - despite how badly the suit was beaten, or how loud the warnings flared at her.

"Daddy, I'm coming!" Kelly yelled, pushing the Hellspawn faster. This, unfortunately, caused the boosters to implode on themselves which launched the Hellspawn forward, spiraling it uncontrollably.
