 Crysella screamed again, this time her vocalization was heard though, being they had forgotten the cloth. It hurt even more this time though and she nearly passed out as they asked for her name again. "Amber!!" she yelled out, refusing to let them know her real name. ******** that, they had heard the name Crysella before, how could they not know the name of the chick who started up the resistance?
And could you blame her? They had ruthlessly killed her parents, they hadn't even been doing anything!!! They had all been out in the Murk, collecting berries for christ sake!!!

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------That wasn't good enough. They'd have to get worse...not because they didn't believe her necessarily, but because it was protocol.
One man stepped back and turned on what was seemingly a very futuristic sound system. With a click of his finger, shrill screaming sounds crashed through the entirety of the room.
They were so loud, and so sharp, that the two torturers had to wear sound proofing headphones.
Another electric shock ought to help the matter.
"What is your name and where is the resistance base?"

Tod's lips squished together uncomfortably. It wasn't like she had done anything wrong to him...besides threaten his life.
That had been pretty cold, especially because he hadn't been doing anything against her at all.
Tod didn't want Crysella dying or anything, or suffering, because she had been pretty nice to him, and he had like...gotten sexual with her.

Crysella watched them, putting on headphones? What the- A shrill sound crashed through the room and she yelled again. And yet again they asked her her name, this time throwing in another question. She wasn't stupid, she knew no matter what she told them they would still kill her, so telling them the truth did nothing other than put her friends and cohorts in danger. She couldn't do that, not when she had been the one convincing them to join when it all started out, they had already lost a few and if she let the cat out of the bag the guilt would eat her alive, that was until the Empire killed her of course.
"It's Amber!!!" she said, tears beginning to stream down her face. Not voluntarily I assure you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------Her not saying anything about the resistance, automatically meant she was a devout member. Empire members had a similar level of devoutness to their cause...if not a higher one, so these two torturers weren't going to disregard that little factor.
More electricity, and this time they pulled out a few...needles?
Well they looked like needles, but they didn't have any sort of liquid traveling through them.
Advanced technology, technology no one but higher ups and torturers (and their victims) knew about. The effect would make the person feel like they were being ripped open from the inside, they weren't of course, but it would feel exactly like it.
Empire scientists weren't worked like dogs for nothing.
The smaller of the two men, the man Crysella thought was Tod's father (really Tod's father was watching from a secret location with his wife) stepped up next to the girl.
"We're going to ask you some more questions, and we expect answers...not fake ones either. The key to your release, is honesty."
How hypocritical? The smaller man motioned to the other, and he quickly stabbed the small needles into Crysella's bound wrists.
One of them was also placed behind her neck.
With a lift of his finger, the switch was flicked and the new, intelligent pain soared through Crysella's body.

Crysella glared at the scientists but didn't say anything more on the subject. Honesty her a**, she knew she was going to be killed unless she somehow managed to get herself free. One of the guys got close to her, stabbing her with a needle, to which she kicked at him. But her legs were sore as hell from the electricity and it didn't do much good. She winced as he stuck another needle in her. "What the ******** are you doing?!?" she asked, her voice a bit frantic now. What the hell were they going to do now?
Crysella got her answer as the guy hit another switch. She couldn't even scream this time with the pain, as she was hit by what she assumed being mauled by a pack of Lurkers would feel like. She gasped for air, twisting desperately in her restraints.

The smaller man (clearly the one that was in charge despite his stature) clasped his wrist behind his back and stared at the hanging girl.
"Where did you say the resistance was currently located?" He had all day, and this torture, this advanced technology, got people to talk...even if it took a while.

Tod on the other hand, was freaking out even though nothing was happening to him at all. People were treating him like royalty....which he in a sense was, but---not really.
People were watching him, giving him things, trying to make him more comfortable. The only reason he was waiting here at all was because of his interrogation (albeit a nice one) that was soon to occur. He had already told the Empire...everything he wanted to tell them (which was more then expected, though he left out his un-obedience) and really the only reason he was being interrogated again was because they wanted the information on record.
He still felt guilty though, very very guilty.
He was part of the reason she got stuck in this mess...even though she was the one that freaked out and caused attention brought to herself.
Even in such situations Tod managed to make sure he wasn't the one at fault. That was just how he was brought up.

Crysella looked at him, a bit dazed. What was he asking her? She opened her mouth, answering without thinking "I've only heard about them in passing, I think they move around." See Crysella had this whole other persona drilled into her brain for situations like this. It was a bit of mental training she put herself through, just in case the day came when she was captured.

"We know you're a part of the resistance, so don't try and get out of answering." The small man looked over at the large one, signaling him to be ready.
"Where is the resistance located!?" The switch was flipped.

Crysella's eyes widened and she screamed as they hit the switch again and the unbearable pain coursed through her body. "I don't know!!!" she sobbed out, her body shaking violently from the amount of nerve endings stimulated by those two little needles.
Some sort of transmission must have went through her brain to elicit such a reaction, of course Crysella wasn't able to think any of this as she screamed in pain again.

"Up the charge!" He shouted, and more pain was sent through Crysella's body.
"Tell us where the resistance is and we'll turn off the switch." It seemed simple enough.

Crysella didn't think she could endure any more pain. Well her damn body betrayed her and made her stay conscious as the elevated the level. "God dammit I don't know!!!" she screamed at them. Angry now, why in the hell wouldn't they just kill her?!?!? Of course not, they wouldn't do that, it would be too ********>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tod bit his lip softly and stared at the ground.
He was behind his skull, exploring the inner workings of his brain, when he felt the presence of someone in front of him.
"Your father has given me his location in the building, if you wish to see him."
Tod looked up, his eyes running over the rather tall man before him.
What did he have to lose? Then again, his father was sort of the reason one of the only girls he had ever hooked up with was being tortured.
But wait.
Maybe he could save Crysella. Still Tod had some pull on his father, so perhaps he could lie, twist the truth. He could say he had told her who he was, and say she had been born in the murk, not banished, that she was just an everyday girl fighting fir survival overtaken by curiosity.
He could get her out from behind those metal doors.
Tod nodded, got up, and was led up a staircase.

Crysella just hung there, her eyes clenched closed in pain as this ******** up feeling ripped through her body. The neurons in her body were going nuts as was the rest of it. Despite the sensory inputs nothing was wrong!!! They began yelling at her now and she looked up, angry. "I don't know!!" she sobbed now, her tear ducts finally working in response to the pain coursing through her body.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tod walked out of the room, having talked with his father for a short while.
Everything it seemed, had gone according to plan. Perhaps Tod had inherited some of the Empire's charm, his lying had been exceptional, especially because his sharp father had believed his every word.
Then again is was a very plausible story.
Why would Tod ever go against the Empire?!
There was no obvious reason.
Everything had panned out perfectly and currently Tod was walking through the metal doors, two burly men with him.
He entered 201, the place of Crysella's demise just as the switch was flicked off. The two torturers looked at him weird, but quickly approached them.
"We're setting her free."
"But-?"
"Your leader has decided to let her free, she doesn't know anything, she's just your average murk dweller so there's no reason to torture her, we're going to put her back in the murk where she belongs."
Damn, looked like someone had the ability to be authoritative after all!
The two torturers looked at each other, but an order was an order.
The bigger one moved over to Crysella, and quickly removed the needles from her arms.
