 FourFour stepped forward again, and spoke to Kazuki answering his question, "Yes, Ichite-ru and Hiyo Miyaki seemed to be the two that made it through with the least amount of damage. Ichi with nearly nothing visible, and Hiyo with two shallow gashes on his head, he also seemed to pick up a sword." He said recalling things that he had seen from his table in the Snake's Den bar. He also had heard faint talking between Ichite-ru and Hiyo making a sort of alliance, but he kept it to himself, knowing that Tanto would of course lose it if he heard of anything of the sort.

 Kazuki smiled. He had confidence in Ichi and Hiyo. He wondered about the sword Hiyo had picked up though. What did he mean by that? "Any word on Kyou yet?"He felt worried about his teammates. He had been really suspicious of Kyou ever since the exams were announced and was sort of curious if she had made it.

Within every illusion, there is reality"  "Hey, I didn't fail where I was best! I was at a severe disadvantage the whole fight! I'll admit I was outclassed, going against people with swords isn't one of my strong points..."It was kind of an amazing breakthrough for Akeru to admit that someone was her better. Of course she was only talking about direct combat though. "I shine when I can outsmart my opponent. My strategy and traps were just powered through by brute force. I'll just make sure I'm ready to fight against someone like that next time."

FourFour let out a small sigh and turned a couple pages in his notebook. "I left the bar to come here as Kyou went in, so I have no idea how she is doing, I can only gather so much information. However, all the other competitors that have failed have survived. She will be fine." He said closing the notebook and sliding it back into his back pocket.

Kazuki nodded. "Thanks."He turned to Tanto."I apologize for failing. I must have gotten nervous and forgotten the right answer. I was a little too quick to answer anyway, didn't think about it first. I promise to be a little more level-headed from now on."He heard Akeru actually admit someone was better than her. From his encounter with her, he knew she wasn't one to admit to that lightly.Those exams must be harder then I thought.

 Tanto Tanto lowered the sword that was pointed at Kazuki's throat and shifted it over to form a scissor around Akeru's head. "Don't make excuses for yourself, if you want to be useful to this village you should have just died. Make more room for a boy in your squad." It was no lie that Tanto was sexist when it came to ninja, girls had no place on the battlefield, they belonged running the shops around the village and running errands for men.

Kazuki looked at the Kazekage, surprised. Did he really just tell Akeru that she should have died so that a boy could be on their squad.Well, that's different. I have a sexist for a leader.Akeru's not gonna like that. He looked at Akeru for her reaction. He wouldn't be surprised to see her attempt a genjutsu on the Kazekage just because of that statement.

What did you just say!?"Akeru didn't care if this guy was the kazekage and could probably wipe the floor with her quite easily; he crossed a line that should not have been crossed. "I'll have you know, kazekage-sama that I've defeated both Kazuki and Akira in combat already! Just because I faced off against someone stronger than me doesn't make me weak! I'd kick the a** of any 'boy' who thinks they deserve my place on the team!"Akeru crossed her arms as she glared at the kazekage. There were plenty of people she disliked, but she felt that this was going to be a guy that she really hated. And great, he just happened to be the leader of their village. "Plus, what kind of leader hopes for the death of any of the people? A bad one, that's what! Geez, whoever picked you kazekage definitely messed up that one..."Akeru didn't flinch with the swords around her neck. It wasn't because she didn't think Tanto would actually attack her, it was because he was the Kazekage, and she was pretty sure if he really wanted to kill her, she was pretty much dead already. So why not at least show him she wasn't afraid of him?

Kazuki felt the need speak up to her statement. He, like her, didn't admit to defeats very easily."To be completely honest Akeru, you never really "won". Our fight was cut short by someone else."He did remember that time too. It felt like a long time ago even though it had only been a short time since they met. A lot had happened since that time.

Can become a great hurricane"  Akira knew it was an extremely dumb move, but his instict took over. He got in between Tanto and Akeru, his swords meeting the Kazekage's to defend his friend from a possible attack. He could already tell he didn't like this new Kazekage. "Sir, I know you are the kazekage, but I can't sit idle while you threaten my unarmed friends with swords..."Akira figured he probably couldn't even hope to stand up to a kage, but he hoped that his family's status would help him out in this situation. The Kazeryu clan was large and powerful, and his father, the head of the clan, would definitely be able to cause trouble for the kage if he hurt his son.

Tanto Tanto refrained from palming Akira's head and tossing him out of the way and lowered his sword as his clone did the same. "A woman has no place on the battlefield, I don't care what the hell they can do in battle, they need to stay in the shops and in the kitchen." The Kage released the clone and sheathed his katana, thinking about what the girl had said. "If you defeat me in battle I'll concede and consider you a ninja, until then you might as well throw away your headband."

Kazuki moved to stand next to Akira after Tanto lowered his swords. "Pardon my speech Kazekage, but I think it's established that Akeru is a pretty acomplished fighter. Not only that but she's the only person that I can honestly say has come close to beating me."Kazuki made sure not to say she had almost beaten him. He didn't want anyone on his squad fighting a battle that would be impossible to win. That was obvious suicide."Besides she did make it to the second round of the Chunin Exams. Doesn't that count for something?"

Because if you aren't, I'll be keeping it and continuing to fight."Akeru crossed her arms, looking more than a bit upset. They were going to have to go all the way to the exams with this guy? Oh yeah, and he was their kage!? This had to be some sort of cruel joke. "I don't get it, Kages are supposed to be great leaders and all...and we're stuck with this guy that obviously hasn't gotten laid in a long time, especially with that attitude... Oh well, I guess its just something else to deal with..."Akeru then looked at Tanto, still glaring. It looked like she had decided something. She pointed at him, a determined look in her eye. "Okay, kazekage, I accept your challenge! I will defeat you, and take your job as kage, and you'll have to say in front of everyone that I'm a better ninja than you!"Akeru crossed her arms again, nodding to herself. She was sure of herself, she knew that she could beat this guy. No matter how strong he was, she would get stronger. "And Kazuki, I'm disappointed in you! Taking back your own words! In our fight, you specifically said that if I wouldn't have been stopped before I could use my genjutsu, there would have been nothing you could do and conceded the match to me. And now you want to take that back...tsk tsk..."

Tanto Tanto let out a loud laughter when she accepted their fight and took her gaze away from him. Just like a woman, talking too much and taking a man lightly. The Kazekage gave a grin, summoning up two clones, and forcing all into the ground. The girl had no idea what she had done, suddenly six hands sprang out of the ground trying to latch onto her leg.

Kazuki thought back to that time. He did remember saying that but he figured he had only said that to be nice. Now he wasn't going to be a nice guy anymore. That hadn't gotten him anywhere. He needed to start to care if he was beaten by someone. He also had confidence he could beat her now. He smiled to himself. I guess I'm getting more serious about this than I thought.
For now he hopped away from Akeru and Tanto. That wasn't a fight he wanted to be near. He did however make a note of Tanto's use of clones. He seems to like to use them a lot. Akeru probably doesn't have any idea which one could be the real one meaning she might target the wrong one.
