Kurami had just made her way out of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Now she had to make it all the way to the Sound Village by herself since her family decided to stay and wait for her brother to return from his mission. Kurami looked up at the sky seeing it now blocked by many over grown trees. The sun still made its way threw and gazed at it for a moment. "Looks like a great day for traveling!" Kurami said cheerfully as she started to make her way threw the large forest. "Why the hell are you so f*ckin cheerful! All we are doing is walking threw a huge a** forest to watch some sh*tty fights!" Ami spat letting as many negative comments about the mission flow out. Kurami did her best to ignore Ami's thoughts but it did bring her down a bit after listening to her complain for such a long time. She began to get bored of walking in the woods since there wasn't much to see other then some trees, grass, and rocks. She was sure there were animals in the forest but she hadn't yet to encounter one.

Alone in the forest nothing to do but run caused Kurami to get bored fast and start talking to Ami. In the mix of doing this she remembered before she was taught scythe style she actually was planning on going back to the training grounds and learning other ninjutsu. Realizing this she quickly pulled a scroll from her bag as she jumped from one branch to another. Kurami tugged at the rope holding the scroll shut. After loosening it the rope fell off and the scroll unraveled. Kurami held it in her hands and glanced at it reading its content. She read the description in her head first, "This jutsu will infuse wind-based chakra into bladed weapons. The user can than manipulate the blades in a spinning manner to attack the target." After Kurami finished she moved back up to the top of it to see what the ninjutsu's name was. "Rotating Shuriken" She said out loud this time and was excited to finally have something to do on her long journey.
After she read the directions for the first part of the jutsu she grabbed a shuriken out of her pouch. This time instead of focusing her chakra into a hand sign she focused it on the kunai resting on her hand. It moved a little in her hand not long after she manipulated wind chakra in it. She continued to do this adding a bit more and trying to get it to spin. Once again it moved slightly in her hand but this time it moved half way around. "This is definitely tricky." She thought to herself still waiting for the shuriken to make a full circle. Kurami stopped for a bit and took a deep breath focusing her chakra till at last the shuriken made a full spin in her hand. "Tree." Ami said happily as she watched Kurami finally get it to spin. "Tree?" Kurami asked not knowing why Ami would say that out of the blue. She looked up to find herself jumping straight into the body of a tree. "Gwahaha!" Kurami screeched sticking out her hands and focusing chakra in them hopping to grab onto the tree. "Little late on the warning" Kurami said sheepishly to Ami hopping she could at least comment on this without getting Ami in a knot. As soon as Kurami was safe again she began to jump to the next branch taking another shuriken from her bag because she had dropped the other. She focused more of her chakra into it hopping to get it to spin. The Shuriken laying in Kurami's hand twirled two times but still at an extremely slow speed. Kurami used more chakra hopping to quicken it and it happened it spun again two full times at a medium speed. "It's a Start." She told Ami knowing she had a lot to improve on to get this jutsu down pat.

Once again Kurami focused her chakra and infused it with the shuriken in her hands. Within a matter of second the shuriken began to spin at a medium speed. Kurami counted the times it spun so she could see how much she improved. "One, Two, Three", she continued to count till she reached five. Kurami felt it this time the blade was at a fast enough pace that it was beginning to lift off of her hand. After it stopped she inserted more chakra causing it to start to twirl in the palm of her hand once again. She glanced up to check her surroundings and the shuriken lowered itself into her palm still spinning. "Cr*p" Ami said to Kurami causing her to look up checking for another tree as she did this the shuriken lowered even more. It got so close to her hand it cut a bit of her finger which was in the way. Kurami made a small gasping sound noticing her finger was leaking red liquid. She grabbed a small roll of cloth and bandaged up her hand. She used her other hand only now seeing that her right had a wound. Kurami focused more chakra into the shuriken only using one hand. She made sure not to let it sit on her hand as it spun and raised it into the air. The shuriken was now rotating in front of her at a fast speed. Kurami already knew how to control it since it was much like controlling the kunai the Violent Wind Palm jutsu. The kunai twirled around her body with ease it was a lot simpler then controlling the whole winds but the hard part was getting them started.
Kurami stopped the flow of wind chakra to the shuriken causing it to fall down onto another tree branch. She plucked it off the ground and pulled a second and third shuriken out of her bag. Placing them gently onto her palm she focused chakra into the shuriken causing them to all move. "Ahhh!" She yelped out loud again as the shuriken collided and dropped into her hands scratching them a bit but not enough to bleed. "One at a time." Kurami told herself placing the other two shuriken in her right hand. Soon the shuriken was spinning in the air at a fast speed and she held her hand in mid air keeping it there. Next Kurami tried to raise the other two into the air and it was successful. Kurami now had three flying shuriken circling around her as she jumped to the next tree branch. Holding a hand out to keep the three already spinning in place she pulled two more shuriken into her palm. Up they flew joining the mix of the other three shuriken. She watched them spin around her getting faster and faster. "Let's see them attack!" Kurami said to herself launching all five of the shuriken heading into a tree nearby. They cut and weaved causing many deep wounds to the tree.

Kurami jumped past the tree with the five sharp shuriken embedded in it. She looked forward and tried to remember how long she had been traveling. Kurami knew that she was going to reach the sound village soon and decided to stop practicing her jutsu. "Only a bit farther." She told Ami hopping to get her interested in the mission. Now that she thought about it she wasn't actually happy about having to go to the exams. Surely she is supposed to watch the fights and learn from them. Kurami wouldn't enjoy that especially if any of them were brutal or bloody. Finally she reached the end of the forest and jumped off from the branch she was perched on. She walked forward both excited and worried about the mission.

He wasn't taking his time, but he wasn't going as fast as he could go. Makura was taking in the sights of the forests, noting each tree and the weather. He liked to travel and was considering coming back to this place when he is not constrained to being on a mission. He moved pretty quickly - he had powerful legs. But he stopped suddenly. His face twisted in confusion...he was never really good at following directions. So...I keep heading east? He glanced down at the directions, still puzzled. He was a visual learner and it didn't help that the directions were without landmarks to look for, other than the large Otogakure gates. This sucks... He continued to slump his way eastward. He let his feet carry him from branch to branch. He didn't want to miss any of the action going on at the Chuunin Exams.

Several hours and chocolate breaks later, Makura was still weaving between the canopy, following the directions on a piece of paper. By this time, the entire forests appeared to be the same in all directions. He felt like his was going around in circles and he was soon becoming quite frustrated. "Getting to Otogakure can not take this long!!! He roared, letting his white chakra permeate from his body and condense around his legs. Panicking, Makura continued to press onwards at a swifter pace. Beads of sweat pouring from his head as he darted. He needed to rid himself of this frustration and he was growing impatient at how long this trip was. But at this new pace, it didn't take him long to find the gates of Otogakure. Stopping abruptly before the gates, he lifted his hands to knock. But before he could, the gates opened. Guess they keep them open because of the exams... He didn't ask questions and simply made his way inside the gates, trying his best to wipe the sweat from his face. He hated feeling dirty.

If I cannot tame myself? Seo Himine
Seo was on his way back to the cloud village and decided to start making a replica of the wooden sword he had just learned how to use. He grabbed a thick branch off of a tree and began to shave the bark off with a kunai. After removing the bark used his wind palm jutsu to apply pressure to all sides condensing the wood into a more slender stick that was denser and harder. The only problem was he could not carve out a blade so he ended up with a very dense stick that could still be used as a weapon. He decided it was good enough and placed it in his belt. As he navigated his way back to the village playing his flute.
How could I show others how much inferior to me they really are?

Madaraki Shiso
Shiso let out a sigh as she tried to think of a good way to describe her parents without having to scare him about how big they were in number and how obnoxious her brothers were when it came to meeting her friends, "... My parents are pretty normal. They're not exactly doting or anything, but, they're alright. It's... my brothers you have to worry about. I have about 5 of them, and they like to pick on me alot. But, don't worry, I can take care of myself, Chesha. Besides, I know they won't give you much trouble."
Now that she thought about it, would her parents like Hiyo? Would her brothers like Hiyo? She'd be worried if they did.
"... We're a very big family. So our name's pretty common around the Cloud and Stone village. Heh, some of us aren't even ninja. We usually end up leading ordinary lives. But not our branch; my Dad's a retired jounin. My brothers are all either chunin or jounin. And as for myself, I'm... I'm practically the only girl who's going to try being a shino--Err, kunoichi. Girls aren't exactly common in our family tree. Just boys."
Which reminded her... Should she tell him the story of how her family hated her Mom and disowned her Father just for even marrying her? It was the main reason why they weren't exactly a major part of the Madaraki clan...

HIYO MIYAKI There goes my hero... Hiyo continued to smile as Shiso spoke. Her voice had changed a bit since they had first met each other, she was more calm and kind. His own actions and looks were quite laughable, from his respectful tone to the Raikage but not to anyone else, how he practically pushed himself on Shiso. He slowly lifted his free hand to play with the tip of his hair that laid lightly on his shoulders. That had changed as well, not to mention his slight muscle tone and growth spurt from when he visited Mist. He joined her in her sigh, thinking of everything that had happened in the short time he had gained his genin rank. Then he finally snapped back to the conversation, had she said five brothers? Dang! Here he thought his only little brother was annoying. "Well, you are the best candidate for being a kunoichi, you have the drive to do it, which is more than I can say for other girls. I like that about you..." The words seemed to slip out without his own thinking, but they sounded sweet to the ear. He followed it all up with a nice, gentle smile. ... he's ordinary
