Matsumi failed. She was hating this Handseal thing alreaduy. Sighing, she then realized what she had done wrong. She had been looking at the paper, and thought the pinky finger on the paper was the index finger. 'That's what happens when you are sleepy, I suppose.'
She yawned and rubbed her eyes. 'What time is it?' She couldn't see outside because of her boarded up window. Suddenly, her mom knocked on the door.
"Breakfast!"
Matsumi rolled her eyes. "You're letting me out? How surprising."
Matsumi heard her mom sigh and leave the door. Matsumi smirked. Now, back to these handseals from hell. She reformed the bird seal, this time with her fingers in the right place.

Another failure. In her head, Matsumi could imagine a baby saying 'Fail!' in her head. She sighed. 'What am I doing wrong? I have to get this.' She relaxed, and looked at the scroll again. Why didn't they show this from multiple angles? She formed the handseal again, and looked at it to be sure. 'Okay... thumbs towards me, index and middle entwined, pinky and ring up... Let's do this.'

Matsumi fell back, her head hitting the wall. She considered screaming in frustration, but she didn't feel like dealing with her parents. Sighing, she picked the scroll back up.
"I will do this." She said, now actually speaking. To herself. Wasn't that a sign of insanity? She shook her head, getting rid of any thoughts not pertaining to this bird Handseal. She reformed the seal, resolving to blow up Konoha if this didn't work.

This time she did scream. She heard footsteps running toward her door, and her mom burst in. Her mom looked around for anything that could be of danger.
"You... Okay?" Her mom asked.
"No." Matsumi said in a pout. "I'm going to blow up Konohagakure."
Matsumi's mom rolled her eyes and walked out, slamming the door. She had completely missed the scroll.
Matsumi sighed and looked at the damn scroll again. She didn't even know what she was doing wrong. She put her hands in the bird position again, hoping to get it right this time.

"Yes!" Matsumi had gotten it! She smiled happily, looking back at the scroll. 'Only... Eleven to go...' Matsumi groaned. 'It took me long enough to get the first one! I want to go outside... But if I get distracted, then I'll never finish this.' Sighing, she looked at the next one. At least boar looked easy. 'Knowing me... I just jinxed my chances at this handseal.' She formed the Boar seal, and hoped it worked on the first try.

"Gah!" She had a feeling that she was so close, and she just didn't understand. She looked at the boar seal again and formed it. Everything looked right, so how could it not be right? Maybe she needed to adjust her hands some, or maybe she was looking at it wrong... This handseal business sucks. She attempted the handseals once more, hoping to get it right.

Matsumi sighed. 'Why is this so hard? If they all are like this... I'll never be finished with this assignment.' Matsumi made the handseal, but this time she moved her hand together more, keeping the close and tight. Perhaps if she made the seal tighter, then it would react better. That would certainly be helpful. "Alright... Here goes nothing."

Dog was another that looked easy, but she dared not think it was, lest she have another incident like Boar. She had to complete these handseals so she could go to the academy and learn some more. The more she learned, the easier it would be to steal things.

Masumi cheered for herself. 'I got this one in the first try! Yeah!' She looked at the next seal, still doing a little dance in her head. Dragon. This one looked like it would be annoying. Matsumi attempted to form the seals, seriously doubting she'd get this on the first try. After making many minor corrections, she made her first attempt.

Matsumi blinked, pleasantly surprised with herself. 'This one looked way hard, and I got it on the first try.' She formed the seal again, looking at it. "Huh." She looked back of the scroll. Hare looked pretty hard, mainly because of how much the hands were concealed. 'Ok... I think know what's behind that hand... Ok.' Looking at the back of her hands and completely guessing based off of slight variations in the hand, she attempted her first try.

Matsumi hung her head in shame. Somehow, she just knew she did bad on Hare seal. 'Well, how am I supposed to know what is behind those hands, it conceals half the seal.' Matsumi sighed, and she looked at the scroll again. She tried to understand why the display was so poor. Besides that one seal, they were about six more where part of the seal was obstructed because of the view. Sighing, she attempted to do the hare seal again.
