((Let's see now... I work from 1:30pm to 10pm EST. So I may not be able to post until later tonight guys. But I'll post now anyway just to let everyone know where the heck Syd is in all of this. lol))
The sounds of the demons' battle cries, though muffled, hit Sydney's ears as she sat leaning back against the wall of the hallway. She was instantly on her feet. "Dammit! What the hell are demons doing here!?" She said aloud before taking off running down the hallway.
Her speed brought her outside to lay eyes on the small horde of demons and Indrid, Eris, Alastar, and even the Halfbreed, fighting against them. "Ah crap!" Sydney muttered loudly, summoning her bright orange wings to her back and then taking off towards the battle.

Noktal looked at the man that had only one dagger to defend himself. Laughing, he raised a scythe, then paused. Turning, he saw the Half-Breed. "The b***h lives. The foul seed from some foolish angel and some pathetic demon." Noktal was breathing excitedly, the tired man forgotten. Spreading his wings, he directed his entire desire for blood and hatred for her. Launching himself up, he switched direction fluidly in the air, propelling himself torwards her, the scythe in his left hand ready to sweep, the one in his right ready to slash diagonally. The demons on the ground simply continued to press on, driven partially insane from the aura of bloodlust spilling around them, and the black flames of their master wreathing their weapons and claws. Those with wings leapt into the sky to fight the winged Cambions and Nephilims. All the while, fire rained from a sky tinged red with blood.

He spun around on ball of his foot as the blade lashed out, cutting one demons throat wide open as he ducked its fiery slash. Another demon was kind enough to return with his blade, or foolish enough to think that it could kill him with his own weapon. He simply pounced the demon down, the dagger plunged into its skull as he pulled the other blade from its hand. Rearmed with both, he took his defensive stance again, his vision blurring but his will keeping him going. It was when he heard the devil lord proclaim loudly...
"The b***h lives. The foul seed from some foolish angel and some pathetic demon."
No, J'valia, you fool! He could tell the devils abilities were near limitless, and hers had limits to them. She would die within minutes, hell, they would all be dead if the demon lord truly wished it. As he wheeled around to the devil, it had already taken flight towards her, the path becoming cluttered with fire of demon blades and falling flames. Damn it...damn this entire hell of a hole, he was not going to let their wild card...no, their only chance of survival get taken out this soon. Letting out a roar that helped clear his senses, he charged after the devil, blades poised as he struck out at the demons in the way.

J'valia raised her scythe. People probably thought her weak, but that was far from the truth. Indrid, who knew her longer then the rest, had probably wondered why her actions had made her so fatigued. She truly wasn;t that weak. She had dismissed it as stress, but now that the vision had come and gone, she was back to full power. She went to block the move, holding her own scythe tightly in a defensive position.

Sin had fallen asleep in the infirmary. He awoke with a start and noticed that J'valia was no longer in her bed. He figured she must've felt well enough to go back to her room. But why didn't she wake me? He thought. He shrugged and started walking back to his own little corner of the base when he got this very strange feeling. A bad feeling. The hairs on his neck stood on end. Something's wrong... He ran to his room and picked up a huge water filled gourd that stood 4 feet high and 5 feet in girth at the thickest point. He hoisted it up onto his back, ran out of his room, down the hall, and out to the base's edge.
His eyes widened and switched to a deadly ruby red as he saw the demons attempting to attack his home. It was too much to take. He saw his friends in the fray, fighting already. He couldn't take it. He let out a monstrous roar that rang out across the battle field and threw his giant gourd down across the field. It landed on a group of demons, with the opening penetrating the earth; the water soaking into the ground. He closed his eyes and jumped from the base with his hands crossing his chest. He plummeted very fast toward the ground. Wind could be seen splitting around his figure. He was 20 feet above the ground when he snapped open his eyes. His wings flung out from his back and caught the wind, pulling him up as he flew 2 feet above the ground.
He surged past his comrades, and used his wings to clip many demons, making the fall on their faces. As his speed began to fade, he pulled his arms towards his chest and water surged from the ground, pushing underneath him, keeping him aloft. He took out almost 50 demons from clipping them with his wings.
He finally landed back near his comrades on the forefront. His eyes turned from ruby red to a pale yellow color. He flexed his fingers towards the ground and started to chant. "Animus aquus, animum aquus, ANIMUS AQUA!" He pulled his wings closer to his body, got into a horse stance, and raised his arms so that they were parallel to the ground. Water slowly seeped up from the cracks in the ground and formed an amorphous blob around him, sprouting many tentacles. Soon, he was engulfed in this water blob of a figure, in a lotus sitting position with his hands cupped in his lap.
He was ready to fight.

Indrid looked around at his comrades. They were all her now. "Protect J'valia!" he yelled, creating a wall of ice between him, the halfbreed and the demons. He used fire to create a little opening in it. It was like a little bunker. He shot fire out through the slit. One hit a lesser demon straight in the face. His skull was but ash before his body hit the ground.

Sin's Aqua turned and put a tentacle up as if it was giving Indrid a thumb's up. It turned back around and started charging into the fray, putting space between the demons and J'valia. It lashed at the demons with It's tentacles, knocking groups of 3 and 4 onto their butts while the other tentacles speared demons onto themselves. Sin's Aqua was a force to be reckoned with. It let out a deafening shrill roar as it gulped a few demons into it's gullet and crushed them into amorphous pulps with skin due the pressure of It's insides, then left them on the ground as it advanced forward. It left a slimy trail of masses and crushed bodies in it's wake as it continued to engulf and eat and spear and swipe the demons from their feet.
One demon managed to get a lucky shot off with a fire ball and it caused one of the tentacles holding a fellow demon to hiss and evaporate. But it wasn't enough. The tentacle just grew back and stabbed through the demon and his friend before tossing them aside like trash. The Aqua was fierce, but it had a terrible price. Once Sin ran out of energy to maintain it, he'd be vulnerable...Temporarily devoid of his powers. He'd be almost mortal, except for his exceptional strength. Other than that...he'd be helpless. Even his wings would be temporarily unusable. He'd be utterly defenseless.
He knew the risks. But he didn't care. He wanted to protect his friends. And protect J'valia...the last Halfbreed.

J'valia saw the ice come up, heard the cry to protect her, and went to land next to her comrads. "Why are you protecting me?" She asked angrily. "I'm perfectly able to take care of my self you know." She had a few days of weakness, caused by her premonition, and now that she was backt to normal, everyone was still treating her as weak.... But theis was not itme to argue. There was a fight going, and it was time to fight them, not eachother... But she would come back to this later. Sighing, she shook her head, and muttered "Nevermind." She looked at Indird. "What can I do?"

Indrid looked down at J'valia. He knew she was very powerful, but there were demon lords out there. More might come. He couldn't risk her. "Stay alive." was all he said.
He remembered on his short time on Earth they had these things called movies. Fictional events on a big screen. He had a Human friend once. He once told them that they used cheesy one liners in action movies. What he said made him feel like an action hero, and Indrid smiled.

J'valia couldn't help but laugh. staying alive was never the hard part. It was the wanting to stay alive that always did her in. "Can do Captain." She said with a smirk. She jumped up and back. She hovered about ten foot in the air. She wanted to do something. Here were her... friends risking their lives, and she felt so... useless...

Sin was losing energy, and losing it fast. His Aqua's form was starting to fail. He knew it was about that time. He pulled back and went behind his friends just as the Aqua's form finally collapsed. Sin fell to his knees as the water splashed all around him. He quickly opened up his smaller gourd and collected whatever water he could into it, then closed it up. He sighed, tugging at his clothes. He was shivering a little. Stupid unnatural winter...He thought. He rose and tried to move his wings. They wouldn't respond. Damn...He thought. He sighed and started advancing towards the demons once more. Guess a mouthful of boot will have to suffice.
He jumped up and landed a spinning kick to a demon's face, snapping it's neck. Two others charged him with blades. Sin ducked out of the way, throwing a reverse elbow into one demon's nose. It's nose fractured and started spurting blood. Sin took the demon's blade, cut the other demon's tendons in its legs and stabbed it in the center of it's spine. Both demon's went down as Sin spun the blade in a flourish, flicking off the blood.
He soon held the sword up, its blade going towards the outside of his body with his other hand close to the hilt. His right shoulder was back and he clicked his teeth towards the demons as if to say, 'Bring it on.'

J'valia stood watched an saw Sin falter. Finally. She knew what she could do. She saw reality, everything that was, flowing around him In reality, his majic was being sucked dry by the Aqua.... But if she could change it a little... She concentrated on the patterns of reality all around them. Bending, weaving, shifting, flowing a little of her own energy into him. it wasn't much, but at least he wouldn't be as drained as he was.

As the wall came up, Alastar was on the opposite side, fighting off the demons and slaying them one by one. His blades were a blur as each one struck its target, sometimes thrown, sometimes slashed, other times retrieved only to slash again. It was a bloodbath. His primal instincts, the demon half of him relished in it, wanted more, and his fatigue was not helping in keeping the growling orders to kill in the back of his mind silent. He could be considered blind with his eyesight facing, deaf from the roars of the demons that continued their assault.
If they didn't do something soon, they will be killed by sheer numbers, not just by the devil himself...
Hearing the screams of two demons behind him, recognized Sin's scent. At last, he got the message. Another sniff of the air clued him in on his comrades own fatigue. He was right, they were wearing them down. Coming back to back with Sin, demons closing around them, he spoke through baited, heaving breaths. "This...is getting...pointless..."

Grathrym walked into the portal. He saw many demons dead but many more Cambions and Nephilims dead. He had in his hand a bone rod. It was sharpened at the end and had a banner around it. On the banner was an image of flames rising from a great crack in the Earths core. It had a skull with spikes growing from the top. Blood seeped from the eys and souls of many fallen people actually flew from the jaws. His pressence must have been putting a great strain on the untrain half breed and her companions. He stabbed it into the ground and turned around calmly. He reached the portal and turned his head slightly to the battle. "Noktal do not destroy everyone here. Only enough to set an example." Grathrym then turned his attention back to the halfbreed. "You are more important then you know of foolish one. Fight even against my general and live by whatever means necessary." With that Grathrym walked into the portal and let the shadows carry him obediantly back to his palace.
