Alaric Zarkov

"It will be done a probe will be sent to the celestial plain, but in a manner where no life has to be put into danger. The probes function on there own we merely send a few through and with some advances they should be quite difficult to detect" Alaric said as he looked around the room with his eyes. He thought for a moment or two they would have the final say in the matter but they had there ways of getting information about the enemy. Alaric watched and listened as they talked about sending a group in and it seemed a bit foolish at this point in time. A message had already been sent to the human base and perpetration where being made and information would be sent soon enough between his probe and the base.

Hmm....interesting. Bagarth leaned on her palm as her arm lay on the chair's arm and her elbow propped up her hand. There was another option besides the lone infiltration and retreat or the infiltrate and attack approaches. The option she was thinking about was less obtrusive, but more attention grabbing. Choose a demon particularly skilled at shifting and disguising. Have the demon either disguise as a human. Pair that demon with the human. Pretend to escape from the demons to the angel portal. Then either, realize that the angels might kill them too and run to the Earth portal...

Bagarth inwardly shook her head. On second thought, that was a pretty dangerous idea too.

((Uh oh... edit below because I typed a bit too slow and missed a couple of posts.))

Alaric seemed pretty confident with the technology. If it worked, there would potentially be no casualties. With the majority of angels and demons being unfamiliar with technology, it was probably the best. However, how noticeable would the probe be? Since the angels weren't familiar with technology, they might expect the worst spotting an unfamiliar object. The human was right that one would not complete the job.

Noktal sighed.
"Vandor, I thank you for assisting us in getting Alaric here with all due haste. You have proved your worth over the many many years. We're also aware you have our best intentions to heart." Standing up, he put a hand to his head, smiling with a hint of an apology. One eye was half open letting some of his aura wreath out. Noktal was growing bored of the details. He needed to keep Sydney close. His personal plan was relying on the Resistance to assist them. But at the same time, the alliance with the Humans will assist in convincing them. That and he wanted to play with Shari. She must be lonely right now. But he would finish this meeting. Hearing the plans, Noktal nodded.
"Is there anything you need me to do my Lord?" He asked, half eager to get back to Sydney and Shari.

Now that she knew that she didn't want these demons to get the better of her, Sydney was determined to show them that she wasn't a light-weight in any way shape or form. Even though she didn't like this at all, Sydney was going to prove herself to these demons. She knew that they were probably just going to use her for her special skills like her illusion things and such, but she'd deal with that when and if it came up.

What about her friends though? What would happen should she run into them? She guessed she might actually have to fight them. Syd really didn't want it to come to that. She felt that they were the only people who truly accepted her for who she was. And there was no way she was going to ruin that if she could help it.

A while from now Vandor would be alone, thinking about his future. It passed right before his eyes. "I see. Like I said earlier, if you want an allies death on your hands, fine I won't stop you." he said, looking at the human and at the probe. "The probe won't even get to the castle." he said to himself.

"I'm not sure if I said this or not. But I wnt you to teach her about waht its like to be a demon. Particulaly a devil lord. I want you to teach her waht it was like for us. She may think she has had it bad but I want you to show Sydney what life was like before she even exsisted. Other then that no. You are dismissed. You are all dismissed. This meeting has already droned on long enough. Do whatever you wish. Alric you may do what you want I just require a report before you do anything major alright?" grathrym looked aorund and wondered what he would do for the last bits of time he had. Maybe he would check on any recent developments in the secret plans he had hidden awya behind one of his doors. "Oh but Antoinetta and Vandor. I know how you must hate this but I must do this. Oh and Haitian seeing as you have woken up to hear our story." Grathrym thought of each of there faces and names and made a mental link with each of them. He delved deep to their memory banks and used his power to erase memory of the recent meeting. He let them remember anything that had anything to do with future plans or possible agreements that were unnessecary for them to know. Once he was done he stood up and walked about his chambers.

Noktal stood up, unable to hide his joy. Tugging his claymore out of the crack, he resheathed it on his back. Opening a portal, he appeared in the square. Seeing Sydney, he walked to her patting her shoulder softly.
"Looks as if I have you for the day Sydney. Now, how would you like to meet Shari, my wife?" He asked, eager to see her again. It'd been too long in his opinion.

"As you wish" Alaric said as he looked at Grathrym, he thought for a moment before he left the room for the time being. He would just wait outside this room until arraignments would be completed to send a small test probe to the celestials plain of existence. Alaric stood outside of the room and just thought of something to clear his mind as he waited there. His probe also stayed with him, it began to analyze what it could and send it back. At least this silence did him some good, although to his surprise he had grown curious of these demons but would not act on it. Back on Terra plans would be slowly coming together and he would have to inform the leader of this place about any updates he were to receive.

Sydney had been about to turn around to start walking back towards the portal where the meeting was taking place to wait for Noktal or someone. But before she could even do so, felt a hand patting her shoulder lightly. Out of reflex, Syd's hand went to the hilt of her katana, and nearly drew it as she spun around to face... Noktal.

"Dammit. Don't sneak up on me like that!" Sydney growled under her breath. But when she heard Noktal asked her if she'd like to meet Shari, Syd blinked in surprise as he mentioned that this person was his wife. "Great... I'm stuck with you... Wait a minute. Your... wife?" she asked, her surprise evident in her tone. "Why the heck do you want me to meet her?"

Vandor sighed. He could see his future, so he knew what Grathrym did. He never told him though. Besides, it wasn't like it was anything important. "I'm sorry." he said, and exited the room acting like nothing happened.

He stood on the balcony of his room, eventually sitting on the bar and looking at the place before him. The recruits were training, and they acted like they would stand up against the angels. Most of them would be dead soon.

Vandor started remembering his past. He was going to leave disappointed, he saw it. He remembered Lauren and the accident that day. They were in the car, coming home from their anniversary dinner.

It is July 12th, 1959. Earth is normal. The streets are normal. Everything is fine. A 7 ton truck carrying cars to be towed crashes into their car, sheet metal slamming into his side, blood pouring everywhere. The roof collapsed on Lauren, slamming into her neck.

He had never been religious, but as his sight was fading from black to a blur, he saw a man approach him. He wasn't there to help him. The man dressed in dark, leaned down and peered through the cracked window. He could see him clearly regardless.

"You look like hell." The man said, his voice having a dark tone to it, and the phrase seemed like a joke to him.

He couldn't talk, the sheet metal had broken his rib cage, a bone piercing his lung. "I'll tell you what." the man said slowly, seeming to step through the wreckage, face to face with him, despite the odd shapes of the metal that had been twisted. "I'll trade your soul, for hers." he nodded to Lauren. She wasn't going to last much longer.

He loved her so much. She had options. She was beautiful. Her life was worth so much more then his. He nodded and the man smiled, his shape shifting into dark shadows.

A couple of moments later, he closed his eyes. He was blind. Could not see. He heard Lauren moaning in pain. He couldn't speak. Was she alright? He couldn't tell. He became weaker and weaker and slowly drifted into death.

Vandor shook his passed away. He didn't want to remember his human name, or his past at all. But he knew later it would continue. He stood off the balcony and walked down the hall.

(amg that was so long.)

Noktal noticedher readiness to draw her katana and smiled. Hearing her question, he nodded.
"Yes, my wife. Shari and I have been married for seven years now. And I want you to meet her for a number of reasons. The main one, because she has no one to talk to. My poor love is kept safe and secure in my chambers, with little outside contact. I feel awful every time I see her. I know she would never say anything, but still." There was a forlorn look on Noktal's face, even through his smile. Hooking an arm through hers, he began leading her towards his chambers, eager for her to meet Shari.
"Of course, if you don't want to, then that's perfectly fine too." His tone suggested that denying this request would be a bad idea.

Syd scowled slightly as she released her hold on the hilt of her sword. "What's the fun in going to meet her if she's not going to say anything?" Sydney retorted flatly, starting to cross her arms over her chest. But Noktal's arm hooking with one of hers caught her off-guard and Syd nearly fell forward as he started dragging her along against her will. "Hey! I can walk by myself thank you very much!" she protested, yanking her arm free and following after Noktal on her own pace.

Noktal sighed lightly when Sydney wrenched her arm free.
"A shameful age it is when a man cannot even be a gentleman. I never once doubted your ability to walk. And Shari talks. I was referring to the fact she would never complain about the fact that it's simply me and her here." Arriving at the door, he opened it slowly, a crest appearing on the door, exactly akin to the one he cast on Sydney earlier. Opening it, a charming woman in her mid twenties greeted them. Wearing a gold and white dress of the finest silk, it contrasted nicely with her raven black hair and indigo colored eyes.

"Noktal, my darling! I've missed you!"
Laughing lightly as she hugged him tightly, he picked her up and spun in a small circle with her.
"My deepest apologies hunny. Work was rather unfun and long today. But I've brought a guest! Her name is Sydney. She's a Cambion from the Resistance. She has aided with us." There was a human twinkle of love in his eyes. Something none would expect from a Devil Lord.

Bagarth rose from her seat and nodded to Grath. "See you around, Lord Grathrym." She needed to be formal for the sake of the demonic hierarchy appearance to the human.

"Come along, everyone. We've to leave Lord Graythrm with his chambers," she said and proceeded to step through the portal into the courtyard area. She nodded to Alric, acknowledging his presence as she walked past him. Was it really alright to leave him unguarded?

For some strange reason, she suddenly thought of a certain well ranked male angel from ages past. Perhaps, it was the talk of the human-demon alliance against the angel and Regiment. Back then, she and the angel had been secretly meeting each other for the longest time. ... and had become pregnant. Due to her inept ability at shifting, she was able to hide her status. However, when came the time the baby was borne, what happened was a blur to her. The half breed baby was gone, with the only fact that Bagarth knew ... that the baby was a girl.

What am I doing reminiscing? The girl is probably dead by now. Bagarth sighed as she wandered aimlessly through the palace.
