Earendil glanced down at Lin as she yawned, then chuckled and put one arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him so that she could lean against him. "Maybe you should nap after all," he murmured softly. "You're still tired."

Rhea watched the two silently, though her eyes were sparkling brightly with amusement.

Lin leaned against him, not thinking too much about it, but at this point between the helping with the loading and the so far busy day Lin was tired.

"I guess, but there's always tonight," Lin replied, "And it's nice to watch everything go past."

Earendil chuckled softly. "Well, we're hardly moving so far," he smiled down at her, "though I'm sure we'll be going faster soon enough. Besides, tonight we'll have to unload these ships into the other one that we'll be taking ..."

Unless they just slept on the ship tonight and loaded it the following morning, which was a possibility.

"That's true..."

Lin had forgotten that they would need to load everything on to the ship which would take longer. She rubbed her eyes and thought maybe a small nap wouldn't hurt.

"I forgot about that."

Earendil smiled and squeezed Lin's shoulder slightly. "Shall I take you below deck?" he asked her.

There would be plenty of opportunity to watch the sailing later on, and from what he knew of the land, there wouldn't be much scenery to watch but sand, sand, and more sand, until they reached the other ship.

"Alright," Lin murmured.

Though she would rather be up here, she really should get some sleep and she knew it.

"I better take a nap before I fall over."

"Will there be room on the bed?" Rhea asked as Earendil turned to help Lin towards the cabin. "With Whisper, Shiro, Kaito and Ura all sleeping there ..."

Suddenly Leyenda came up behind them, Celeb at her side. "You're looking for a place to sleep?" she asked them. "My bunk is free, if you like."

Celeb tugged on her arm possessively. "Not going without me," he pouted up at her.

Leyenda giggled. "Not me, Celeb, for them."

And Lin thought Senka was bad as she blinked down at Celeb, before looking at Leyenda.

"Thanks," Lin replied gratefully, "I didn't get much sleep last night so..."

So she better sleep because tonight was also going to be a long time judging by the amount needed to unload, and this was only the first ship.

"This way," Leyenda smiled, motioning for Earendil and Lin to follow her and Celeb. She led the way to the aft deck, and took them through a door into the interior of the ship. They went down a short set of steps into the galley, which seemed little more than a fireplace at the back of the room with cupboards and counters all around it; through a door in the same wall as the steps, and into the first deck, which was half filled with barrels and crates, and had some hammocks set up for the crew.

There was a small doorway towards the stern of the ship, and it was to this doorway that Leyenda led them. "Here's my quarters," she told them, opening the door to show them a room that barely seemed to have any space. There was a bunk built into the side wall, a small porthole on the back wall, and just enough space to stand up and get dressed in. Clothes would have to be stored in the cabinets below the bunk, and there was a tiny shelf just above it.

"It's not much," Leyenda smiled ruefully, "but it's quiet."

It was cozy Lin thought, she didn't even realize that Leyenda had her own quarters. Most importantly though it had a bed, well a bunk, but a bunk was still a bed.

"Quite," Lin murmured when she realized it was indeed away from the hustle and bustle of the sailing going on upstairs, "This is perfect."

Leyenda smiled widely, glad that Lin liked it. "I'm glad," she murmured. "You just rest then, and when you wake again come on up on deck. Careful though, by that time we'll be going far more quickly than we are now."

Earendil let go of Lin so that she could head to the bunk, since there wasn't even space in the room for the both of them. "I'll let Senka know where you are, so that she doesn't accuse us of kidnapping you or something," he grinned. "Rest well, Lin."

Lin laughed at that, "I'll see you later. Don't let her get cranky."

Or rather don't let her drive you nuts but she doubted that Earendil would understand the expression. Instead she made her way over to the bed, and without realizing was out like light the moment her head hit the pillow.

After a few hours, even Whisper ventured out on deck. It had taken her a while to get used to the gentle rocking of the ship, but once she found her sea legs she found it wasn't too bad - as long as she didn't pay too much attention to the fact that they were indeed out on a river. Still, once she was out on deck, she stayed away from the edge of the ship, choosing instead to watch Rhea from afar as her mistress talked with Earendil and Leyenda.

After a while, once Celeb was convinced that his sister wasn't going to be going anywhere without him, he wandered over to Whisper and started petting her, keeping an eye on Leyenda from there.

When Lin did awoke once more feeling much better than she had earlier she ventured back up deck. As Leyenda had warned her the boat was going faster, though they were obviously still on the river. She could feel the breeze and it was nice. Slowly she made her way back to the others, she noted that Whisper was out but not Senka so she turned and went instead to the cabin where she had left to cat.

She also wondered if Shiro, Ura and Kaito were still asleep.

The three nekos were indeed still fast asleep, but when Lin entered the cabin Kaito's ear twitched slightly. He cracked one eye open, then rolled over onto his side. "Hey," he called softly to Lin, trying not to wake his brothers, "how far are we?"

He blinked at her sleepily, his yellow eyes slightly misty.
