Rylia couldn't help but glance back at the ocean over and over again, although she did look over at the new constellation every once in a while. She heard what sounded like a low chuckle from him before he began to speak, mentioning that he had lost most of the day out on the pier. She didn't say anything, nor mention she had seen him earlier. Not that it would make a difference, at least to her it didn't. From the corner of her eye, she noticed a nod, turning to see the small almost non-existing smile on his face. She blinked as she stared up at him like a confused child would as he spoke once more.

"It is an honor to make your aquaintance Rylia. I am known as Azra'iel. My apologies for disturbing you-"

That is where he stopped mid-sentence, but her mind was more focused on the constellations name. Azra'iel. She would memorize his just as she did with most names she had come to learn. It wasn't too long, but she turned her head to look in the direction his eyes seemed to be looking towards. It was smoke. She had dismissed it just seconds ago, so she dismissed it again, noticing the frown on the light constellations face. She wondered if he was going to try and help, not that it was any of her business anyway. At his question, she merely shook her head.

"My abilities or rather ability would not help in the case of a fire nor is it too much of a concern to me. I've always traveled by myself until Kiru came along, so I don't have....many attachments and haven't learned everything there is for me to learn yet. I don't see...why I would help those whom I don't even know the name of. I can understand that if I don't like to be hurt, no one else would, but anything pass that is..." she muttered as she same to a stop. She didn't know what to say or even how to end that sentence and she wasn't about to try and figure it out then and there. She shook her head. "I'm sorry but...no. I couldn't do much even if i wanted to...my alignment is not with water..fire...earth...light...air....its darkness...." she said unsure of what to say past that point. Kiru was still next to her as she stood there with this...Azra'iel guy.

Ok now Fulmine was furious, he could see that...not precisely what he wanted to achieve but well, he'll have to deal with it. "holding back Fulmine? you should let it all out it help you know?" he smiled faintly at him. Gods that was cynical of me keanu thought, amazed at himself.

"Never said i didnt cared for his feeling but im not going back" he huffed and looked away trying to keep focused "and you are right you are not a messenger boy but since you are not telling him and im not going back..i guess he'll have to deduce it himself." he stretched nonchalantly and looked at Cempa " you know, you should go with your sister, i'm glad you found her" he gave her a quick smile and then turned around, giving his back to Fulmine....whickhon second thought was not a wise idea.

Noctis was amazed. Never before had Haveni displayed such powers in front of him. This was interesting. He watched in amazement, watching as the burns disappeared. But.. even though the pain was gone, Noctis didn't like it. Where was the pain going? It almost seemed if it was disappearing.. into her? Noctis hadn't been here for Ruin's backstory and therefore didnt know too much details about it.

Just as he was about to ask, they were interrupted. He could see the nervousness and tension radiating from her posture, hands on her shoulder in a firm gesture to calm down. Even if someone hostile approached.. well, Seir and Aeos were still somewhere around. Noctis was here. if he was defeated, not that he would be, the other members of their group wouldnt let anything happen to Haveni. The other exited quickly though. Not without giving him a look first. Sheesh. He wasn't officially a kidnapper. In fact, he blamed it entirely on Seir. Call Seir the kidnapper instead.

He didn't notice her embarrassment and the conflict of her feelings, concentrating on the fact they needed to get out of here. He led her towards an emptier area, still in clear view of the burning building. He could see.. ice traveling? Probably Aeos.

"It's really nice of you to heal my wounds Haveni.. This'll help in holding my guns." He grinned, the cheerful tone fading to a murmur. "But don't do it again if you have to take it in yourself okay? The guy's okay to be wounded but not the girl." His reluctant tone revealed his anxiousness. "Unless it's a girl versus girl fight. Like this one." He tipped his head upwards, meaning Rosel vs. Nashara."Let's get away from here. Fast." He said, not wishing for a stray bolt to hit Haveni. After all, Noctis never trusted Rosel. She could probably miss once or twice. He indicated for her to get into his arms.

Nashara scowled in displeasure; the ice man had managed to break through her barrier. She'd have to end this quick. She raised her hands to send another blast at the witch, her eyes widening in surprise as she saw the bolt headed towards her. Her face hardened as she realized the inevitable.

There was no way she was escaping this one.

She clenched her teeth, a wave of air issuing from her raised hands. Her level of concentration easily played throughout her face, her mouth set tight, her forehead wrinkling. The air in front of her hardened, becoming so prevalent that it distorted the area it occupied. She made sure that no gaps were left in this shield. She sent one final blast of energy into the protection, grunting as the bolt struck the wall of air.

Something exploded, and she was airborne. Her mind was clouded, and she dimly noted that her left arm was numb. She tilted her head awkwardly midair, craning her neck so that she could see the appendage. Her breath caught in her throat. The arm was black, the top layer of skin burned to a crisp. After what seemed like hours but had been mere seconds, she hit the ground, her body landing limply.

She groggily stood up, her left arm hanging uselessly to her side. The Constellation still stood across from her, the gaping hole seperating them. She gasped in shock as the numbness started to wear away, pain taking its place. Lucidity flooded into her mind, washing away both the grogginess left from the electrocution and the rage that had so totally controlled her. Only a single thought was left in her head.

Haveni.

She glanced backwards, eyeing the window that the woman had jumped out of. It was time she got out of here.

"We'll finish this later."

The sneer still plastered on her face, she launched herself backwards, a blast of air pushing her out the window. She hovered outside the still-smoldering inn, a pillar of smoke billowing above. Raising her right hand, she located the weakest parts of the building, where the fire had ravaged the supports the most. With a loud grunt, and using a large portion of the energy she had left, she sent jets of air out, each pummeling the building. The inn groaned for one split second, then began to crumble to the ground. She caught sight of the Constellation inside the room and locked eyes. She smiled, then flew backwards, the ceiling above falling in and covering the window.

She quickly turned, her eyes desperately searching for Haveni. She was there, standing next to the belted man, their faces lit strangely by the fire of the inn. Air pushed behind her as she sped towards them. Her feet landed lightly on the ground in front of the couple.

She could see that neither were happy to see her. "Please, just listen to me. I am not here to hurt you." Just as a safety precaution, she gathered air beneath all three of them, then lifted them into the sky, weaving strands of air up around their legs to lock them in place. They'd have to listen to her now. She glanced over at the belted man knowingly, a smile on her face. "Noctis, please don't do anything rash. I'm here to save Haveni.

"And through her, save the world.

Seir arched a brow, before offering only a light shrug of his shoulder in response. These days, the only emotions
he felt were amusement, a thirst for power, and pleasure in cruelty. They were such typical emotions in evildoers,
but it wasn’t like he could feel much of anything else. “Should I feel anything for the girl?” He retorted, meaning for
it to be rhetorical as he continued. “I do not travel with Haveni simply because she asked us to take her. Though, I
can say that most from Lost Village believe we’ve corrupted her or kidnapped her.”

Bright aqua eyes slid freely out of the enchanting blue of the other constellation’s gaze, lifting up to peer directly up
at the gray being up in the sky. Seir smirked casually, but didn’t remark on Skyre’s presence. He gestured towards
the inn, though he couldn’t see those that ran amok there. “I merely use her for my own means--- not that you can’t
already tell. I prefer not to allow myself to become attached to others.” His stance was relaxed, but revealing no
weaknesses.

“Can you see that her life is going to be a spiraling tragedy? It merely began the day she died,” Seir murmured,
eyes half-lidded. “Any sentiment of feeling would be a waste to put on her.” He barked a laugh, “too bad I did not
bother to warn Noctis. Though, that possibly would have attached him to her faster.”

Aeos watched as Nashara flew out. He felt some semblance of relief that she had left, but also one of dread since
she could have left without a reason. It didn’t seem like she would give up simply because one of her arms had
been charred and deemed useless. What was it that she was after?

His gaze slid towards Rosel, mouth curving into a faint frown as the pale constellation gestured at her wounds.
“Are you alright?” he looked around and sent another blast of ice to temper the flames that wove around them. He
kicked open the broken wardrobe, ripped apart a piece of fabric to long strips and gestured at Rosel’s wound.
“Allow me to bandage it quickly,” Aeos said, and then paused. Her reaction may not be a good one if he showed
any sense of care. Perhaps, it would be better to add some logic.

“We’ve got to give chase, but letting you lose blood will only hamper us.”

... Damn. The air-wielding wench had to turn her attention on them? His legs locked into place, he tried to shake the air off, a scowl widening as he realized he couldnt move his legs.

"Dont be rash? You're telling me not to be rash? What are you going to do? Drop me? Attack me? I'll take what you got. What makes you think that you'll save the world by 'saving' Haveni. All you'll be doing is taking her away from us? What will that do, save gaining more enemies you could possibly handle? You taking Haveni away won't change a thing, the curse won't get better." He retorted, taking his guns out of his pockets, both pistols in his hands.

".. I don't need to repeat this, A-cups. Taking Haveni away wont. change. a thing. Didn't you remember? She wanted to head with us. Don't pretend to be the hero now." He paused between each word for emphasis, the last words were frigid.

Noctis was pissed. Why did this girl pretend to care for Haveni? If she really wanted to save the world, she wouldnt have lit the goddamned room Haveni and Rosel were in like a matchstick. She would have damned checked to make sure Haveni wasn't in the room. Anybody else she could have aimed at. They were all capable fighters. But Nashara had also attached Haveni who clearly wasn't a fighter. And made Noctis go through hell. What, did she think he liked crawling through fires everyday? Did she think he had multiple belted coats? NO. He only had one. And getting it burnt was one of the last things on his list. But now it was ruined.

How does one break the power of wind anyways? There had to be a way to break it.

Nashara sighed; she had been expecting this, but was hoping it wouldn't happen. He was wasting precious time that she desperately needed right now; she knew that they would be coming after her soon. There was no way a collapsing inn could have killed any of the powerful Constellations. With a few twitches of her fingers, she locked Noctis's fingers in place, so that he would not be able to pull any triggers.

"Please put those away before you hurt yourself," she said exasperatedly. And watch your language. We're not in some run-down, hick-filled tavern. She paused. The silence stretched on longer as she searched for the right words, the only sounds those of the settling inn behind her and the crackling of flames as they continued to eat away at the wood.

"Yes, Haveni would have searched out Ruin whether she went with you or not. But if you think for even one moment that the results will be the same if she finds Ruin in my company versus Seir's company, than you are even more of a mule-headed idiot than I thought you were. In my care, Haveni might stand a chance of defeating Ruin once and for all, of dissipating the despair and agony that that monster is. With Seir, all that would result is chaos. Mass chaos, accompanied by mass death."

She paused again, unsure if she was doing anything to convince Noctis. She was aware of how she had appeared. "I am not the bad guy here, Noctis. I may not care for her as much as you do," she said, a small smile playing on her lips, "but I do care for the power she holds. I care for the thousands of lives that Seir had planned on killing. I care for the land beneath us that would overflow with the blood of innocents. I care for the wind that would be filled with the screams of dying men and the agonizing cries of widowed wives.

"No, I am most definitely not the bad guy here."

She suddenly smiled, that smile quickly turning into a mock glare. "And if you think for one second that I am an A-Cup, I'll detach parts of your body that I am quite sure you'd like to keep. I think it's time you reviewed your bra sizes.

It seemed for an overjoyed moment that it had worked, Rosel had finally gotten the shot that would end the miserable wench's ridiculous campaign against them. She hit the floor in a satisfying heap, burnt and dead.

Or not, it seemed. As the almost-dead wench stood unsteadily up, the sight of her blackened and useless arm dangling was almost enough to make up for the fact she was still alive. Rosel sneered. The purple tramp wouldn't be pulling her little seduction scheme on anyone any time soon. If not for the massive hole separating them, an abyss where their free inn room once stood, Rosel could have gone over and strangled the wench, just to end it once and for all. But another dose of lightning would do the job just fine. But of course it wouldn't have been that easy; obstacles continued to pile up. Discounting the abyss between them, the still-going crackle of flames, the slight light-headedness that was starting to build in the back of her mind, no doubt from the blood loss that continued to occur, there was now the issue of the tramp escaping. By practically hopping out the window.

Shock and irritation flooded Rosel's mind and she growled as she took an unsteady step forward, the wood floors creaking dangerously under her. "Get back here you stupid wench!" Rosel screamed in a faltering voice after the disappearing purple. She caught a pair of smug amber eyes a split second before they disappeared. Almost immediately, so much so that Rosel suspected it had been somewhat encouraged by their coward of a foe, the building took a dangerous lurch. Fighting not to stumble, pain arched through her back as she bent backwards to keep her balance.

Aeos was suddenly at her side, offering bandages, of all things. Rosel had almost forgotten he was there. "I'm fine." She barked and looked away, trying not to let the pain show on her face. Her straight back was starting to fail her, without an opponent to face, and she knew she was starting to hunch over. But as much as she hated to admit it, he was right. Even now the wench could be taking to the sky in fear, every second growing further away. And Rosel wasn't sure how well she would be able to climb out of the building with a gaping wound in her back.

Growling, she took uneven steps to turn her back to the Ice Constellation and willed the lightning to dance over the fronts of her arms, away from the wound. Turning her head, she glared at him with her unveiled eye, wobbling again as the floor took another lurch. "Do NOT tell Noctis." The last thing she needed was a joking remark on now being unable to lay on her back. The b*****d.

“When have you ever heard me gossip?” He murmured it softly over the crackle of flames, though now dim
with ice and water.

Aeos felt a bit relief when Rosel eventually relented. Her first reply had worried him and made him wonder if he
would have to carry her if she collapsed from the blood loss. He was pretty sure the resulting lightning voltages
from touching her would be painful. Still, it wasn’t like Rosel wouldn’t collapse even if he did bandage her, but it
was better if he lowered the chances a little.

Keeping steady as the floor wobbled in a threat of collapse, the ice constellation wove the bandages around her
back quickly. He didn’t attempt to clean it, figured it would be too much of a waste of time in their situation, and just
made it tight enough that the blood flow would at least slow down. They’d get it treated later, when they had the
leisure of not having an inn collapsing on them.

“Can you make it out?” He asked hurriedly, but made a grab for her anyway when he saw another falling beam,
intending to drag/fly her out forcibly if need be. Aeos had seen what it had done to Haveni, and Rosel didn’t quite
look like she’d make it past the door fast enough. Or, out of the building in general. The ice constellation winced at
the thought of her retaliating arcs of lightning.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:54 pm

Rosel had to admit, it did seem like a pointless threat when she thought about it. Aeos said little, when anything at all, and didn't seem to have truly ill thoughts about anyone. Or, if he did, he hid them well. The wench didn't count. Everyone hated her. Everyone who mattered anyway.

She sucked in a sharp breath at the first touch of the bandage and concentrated on keeping her lightning from retaliating unconsciously. Round and round, the strip of cloth, black she noted, so at least it wouldn't stand out too much, weaved back and forth, under her arms and over her shoulders to keep it in place. There was another jab of pain as he tied the knot, but the pressure against the wound was a blade of it's own, pushing against the skin, reminding it of the damage there.

His arm snatched around her almost immediately and she had to scramble to keep her lightning away. A bolt of lightning and a flying body was the last thing the death trap around them needed. But just what did he think he was doing? "Do not manhandle me, I am perfectly capable-" A beam almost directly next to them fell, revealing a nest of fire above. It hit the already mangled and half-destroyed floor, widening the hole and sending their floor reeling away. Tremors broke out over Rosel's body, though not from fear. Dizziness swirled her vision and she gripped Aeos's arm, staring at the wavering hole in front of them, now wreathed in rising flames. "Yes. Out. Now."

“I thought you’d see it my way; luckily, without pain on my part…”Aeos pulled her into his arms firmly, away from
any wounds he was aware of, and kicked off of what remaining flooring they had. His wings spread as far as they
could within the room and caught a breath of air beneath the heavy feathers. He pulled them out quickly through a
gaping hole in the wall, narrowly missing several fiery embers as they fell around them.

The ice constellation briefly worried about the unstable inn, but figured he’d already done what little he could. Aeos
was already making sure his powers were heavily withdrawn, as he didn’t want to freeze Rosel. It was difficult
enough keeping his overflowing powers dim, but to dim it and freeze other things at the same time? Impossible with what little control he had.

Flying off some ways away so they wouldn’t have to meet someone that would question them about the inn, Aeos
stepped down on the roof of some building, and let her off. Though, he kept half an eye on her in case she
wavered in blood loss. He glanced around, seeing the mixtures of glowing blue of Seir some buildings away with
another figure and the floating figures of Noctis and Haveni and some others over another way.

He was pretty sure neither of those two knew how to fly.

The dragon born's reserved smile faded into a frown at those words from Seir. Though, she had expected this.

"If that is the case, you seal your fate with those words, and invite your own death to your doorstep."

She raised a brow as she watched the wind-vixen go after Haveni and Noctis. Her finger twitched a little, as if she wanted to go out there herself, but she remained still.

"It is that shred of caring in her that might be the difference between living and dying for many. You do not know how Ruin came to be, so grant me the indulgence to tell you." there was a pause. It was a heart breaking memory for herself, but she let none of that slip in her words as she told it. "It was betrayal that birthed Ruin. Do not think betrayal will cause her to grant you benevolence to your aims."

As she looked at Seir, she couldn't help but feel she were looking into the eyes of a man on his deathbed. Haughty and proud, surely. She stood again, the metal of her greaves clanking together softly. "You poor, miserable creature," she murmured, casting a furtive glance. "I think you steal because you are void of anything dear, and do not wish to be an empty shell."

She stepped off the building, landing with a clanging noise on the ground, before walking in the opposite direction calmly. She would not go after Haveni now, less she be seen the same as the wind-vixen who now tormented her. "Your death is knocking on your door..~" she sang softly.

Haveni had been about to reply to Noctis when suddenly the ground vanished from her feet. She flailed and cried out in shock as the ground left her as she was pulled higher and higher.

It was...the one from before who had done this? She stared at her in surprise, struggling, listening to her words.

She was quiet, however, listening to those words, and to Noctis retaliating. "But I do care for the power she holds..." The moment those words were uttered, Haveni felt a fury rising in her chest. It was only deepened when Nashara called Ruin a monster. She knew Ruin was the collective feelings of everything bad in her heart. She understood that now. And by that, she and Ruin were very different people at this point. But still...

"I don't want to defeat Ruin!"
she had yelled it, a gesture uncommon for her usual demeanor. There was rage on her face, her chest was heaving as if she had just ran a mile. "I never did!" she gave fierce jerks against the invisible binds that held her, even knowing she'd plummet if she did manage to free herself.

"You don't know how sad she is, how much pain she's in..." there were tears of frustration blooming upon her lashes. She had always felt fear of Ruin, but that fear wasn't there right now. Now, more than anything, she felt a sort of pity, and an ache filling her chest.

Her voice had calmed somewhat. "Even if you took me away from them, do you think I would follow you willingly? Do you plan on taking something I care about as ransom to make me do your bidding?" her words were laced with ice. "Y-you... you put him down, and let me go! For if Ruin is a monster, then I am a devil!"

Rosel fought down a wave of nasea as Aeos took off and cursed herself violently for the waver in consciousness that followed on its heels. The sudden cold helped a bit; it took her a few moments to realize it was Aeos himself, as opposed to an ill-aimed aura of cold he might have been extending over the fires they flew over for the briefest of moments.

Then suddenly they were outside, skirting the edge of the crowd that had gathered in the chaos. The wench could easily have hid in the crowd of people, and Rosel's eyes alighted on several shades of purple cloaks before giving up. Twisting for one last look as Aeos took them a small ways beyond the mass of people, she saw a small group floating above the crowd, no doubt for a better vantage point of the-

Recognization hit the moment they passed out of her vision for a moment behind a small shed. Aeos released her, and as the warmth flooded back, so did the unsteadiness, but she stumbled over enough to see around the shed. It was them, Haveni, Noctis, and the wind-wench. Having a nice little chat in midair. Noctis had his guns out, though for some reason the wench was still alive. She was a point-blank range, why wasn't she riddled with holes already?! Rosel growled, and gripped a lightpole next to her. The movement of her shoulder sent splinters of pain through her back as the bandage moved over the wound. Noctis was wasting time, no doubt struck by her 'charms' despite her ugly, blackened arm. And Haveni, she certainly didn't look too happy, though Rosel wasn't close enough to hear the words.

Spreading her feet and turning enough to look over her shoulder at Aeos, she saw that he had noticed them too. "Seems she didn't go too far." She commented dryly, still hanging onto the lightpole. She slipped the rest of her arm around it as she turned back to the mid-air trio, letting the coolness of the metal seep into her skin. "Good for us, bad for her." She spat the words and let the lightning wrap itself over the pole, the tingle of it running through the metal and coming back to her was familiar and calming.

"I'm going to kill her this time." She announced without looking back. "I'm fairly certain Noctis and Haveni can't fly, so I can only assume she's holding them up there." Now she did turn to look at Aeos again, through the pattern of her veil. "If you can keep them from dropping, I can finish her from here." A jagged circle of lightning rounded the pole once and disappeared into her arm.

"You low down b*****d.." Fulmine ground his teeth together, his fist slowly forming a lightning arrow in the middle. He was so very angry.. His poor brother could be at the inn right now, suffering from a broken heart. and all this Keanu boy could do is turn around and say he was never going back.

"Fine. If you ever come by the inn again, I'll kill you." He growled, trying to get the arrow to disappear. He wasn't one to go straight to violence, but.. This boy.. This little.. What ever he was, had no right to be so arrogant!

He shook his head. This was no time for petty arguments. "If you'd like to come for dinner, then you are welcome." he was talking to Azhure and her newly founded sister. He relaxed a bit, smiling a tense smile, before hopping back up to the roof tops. He wasn't heading towards the temple just yet. He needed to cool off first, so he took to hopping from roof top to roof top.
