"Well... why not? I mean for most, if your kids came out great, then you know how to make sure the next batch does as well, and if they didn't, then theoretically you've learned and can make sure you do better the next time. And either way, you get the joys of raising little ones again. Of course, on the road it is not exactly ideal."

"Then the pair discuss, and see if they can come to an agreement where both are happy. If they cannot, they come instead to a compromise. The one who does not, may have a reason which can be addressed, like bad timing, or wanting to live elsewhere first, or resolving something before they even think about more kids, the one who wants more might just want some one to take care of, or might enjoy being there for some one else. So they could wait, they could find another outlet for the feelings, they could adopt if the natural way of magic was the issue. Or they could compromise, one more try for babies, but not soon. The reason only adults can have foals is the hope that they will actually act like adults when it comes to making choices regarding those little ones."
