Pebblestar's ears perked as both Darkpaw and Daypaw entered her den.
"Can I help you two?" she asked.

Darkpaw lifted his tail nervously, then dropped it. "I heard you and Shadowfrost talking about how this used to happen in the past. Does that mean that this has happened before? My condition, I mean?"

Pebblestar's eyes widened, and for a few seconds she couldn't answer him. How could she tell him that Littlestrike hadn't survived from his condition?
"Eh . . . Yes, there was one before you. He . . . He bled to death." She meowed distantly.

Stormflight nodded approvingly. "Okay, now we go back to camp," she mewed, picking back up her catch. She padded back to camp. She trottedtoward the enterance, but a searing pain grew in her front paw. Hissing, she licked it, , blood oozing from it. A rock had caught her paw.
"Oh, great StarClan!" she complained, continuing into camp. She set her prey in the pile, and began licking it some more. She considered going to the medicine cat, but resented it. There were too many cats that could get hurt, and all that was wrong with her was that her paw was bleeding.
Stormflight sat down in front of the medicine cat den and licked her paw tenderly.

Stormflight glanced around. "My paw slipped on a sharp rock, and I cut it," she mewed, showing Rosepetal her wounded paw. "I'm not one to wince at an injury, but it really stings."
(! I have the 200th post! YAY! ^o^ *Turns up the volume on the stereo oddly playing stayin' alive*)

"Alright, hang on while I get the proper herbs." Rosepetal meowed, going back to her herb storage and bringing out some goldenrod and lamb ear. She began to chew the goldenrod into a pulp, and spat it out, and rubbed it into the wound. Then she squeezed some of the juice from the lamb ear onto the cut, and wrapped it with cobwebs.
"There, that should help, just keep off of it." She meowed.
((Hooray! We will survive, we will survive! For as long as we know how to type I know we'll stay alive! *is beaten for poor rip-off*))

((Wow, deja vu...we played Stayin' Alive for our Winter Concert not too long ago! So much for winter concert, we've had no sign of winter all year!))
Darkpaw sat down. He was worried now. What if this will happen to me? He wondered. "Will-will that happen to me?" He asked. "I mean, do you guys know the cure for this?"
Shadowfrost dropped his prey onto the fresh-kill pile and hurried after Stormflight. "So many injuries in one day!" He mewed.

"I . . . I can't answer that. It's an uncontrollabe bleeding, I don't know if there's a cure for that." Pebblestar mewed distantly. Suddenly her voice caught in her throat, and she could only shake her hand sadly.
((Come live here and you'll get to see winter. Not that I mind.))

Stormflight nodded. "It's odd," she mewed faintly, roughly licking her pelt. She stood up, her belly growling. She felt her pelt burn with embaressment. "Want anything to eat?" she asked.

Darkpaw's eyes widened in surprise. "Does-does that mean I'll die?" He shivered, moving close to Daypaw for comfort. He sighed, figuring that he would die from a simple wound.
Shadowfrost nodded, smiling brightly. "Sure, I'll go get some for you and Rosepetal." He said, smiling at the TwilightClan deputy.

"That doesn't mean that we give up hope. Just because we haven't found one, doesn't mean there isn't one, right?" Daypaw meowed, looking hopefully at her leader.
"Right, we're going to keep searching for an answer." Pebblestar meowed, though she doubted her own words.
((Super Bowl this weekend. Anyone going to watch it? I don't like the teams, but I think I'm leaning more towards the Colts. *shudders from the thought of cheering for them*))
