Hardrock_Cafe Simply Indigo Yes, I remember Thanksgiving. And it's one of my favorite holidays too! smile But not everyone celebrates it. What about our members that are not American? Wouldn't that be a bit unfair to them? I found Thanksgiving with oc's dressing up like indians or cowboys pretty fair. they dont need to symbolize the traditional or something like that...We'll have a Thanksgiving contest then. Everyone seems to want one really bad. smile

Just a quick note for the Secret Santa: just in case if people do participate in the Secret Santa for December. Secret Santa is a good idea, but remember, it can be hard to coordinate. There was someone that ran one last year and about a third of the people who promised to participate and make gifts never did. She and a few others had to run around at the last minute and make gifts for those who didn't have any. So, just be prepared!

You don't have to do this one since it may not be for everyone, but it can be done traditionally or digitally.
I was thinking of making text art ? ASCII ? Vector ? Something among those lines.
It can be quite difficult for those who aren't experienced but I recommend it to those who want a challenge. Unless you want a specific theme to it, then maybe a certain month would be good to support that theme. But it can be one of those contests that members are picky with ? Eh. Anyways, here's an example of what I mean : [ l i n k ]
It's just an idea that popped in to my head. Like I said before, it may not be for everyone.

Rizzi-Chan Um whats thanksgiving??? sorry, i'm australian, confused It's a holiday celebrating what you are thankful for. The US and Canada both have this holiday (not sure about other countries) but they're on different days. In the US, it is usually celebrated with family while eating a feast like that eaten by the Pigrims and the Indians (native americans) way back when (aka the first Thanksgiving). Stuff like turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc.
