Haradhel, in the kitchen, overheard Miyu's offer for help, and she poked her head back into the dining room. "You're more than welcome to help us," she smiled warmly. "There's a lot of work to be done. Packing for twelve people for three weeks ..."

That would be several hundred pounds of food. It was a good thing their cellar was full - and as soon as Gwaethir did return from his hunt, Haradhel had a feeling she would have to send him out right away again.

It was indeed a long night, and having less time to prepare than usual, it was daybreak before the bags were ready. Elnara wasn't sure how, but somehow she managed to stay awake all through the night - and she had a feeling that Haradhel and Arahad were using the elven sleep to keep themselves going.

Once everything was finished and ready to go, she turned to Miyu and smiled. "How are you holding up?" she asked softly, sitting down for a much-needed and well-deserved rest.

Elnara smiled at Miyu. "I think we should try to get some sleep," she murmured. "Come on, let's head upstairs." She stood up and put one hand on Miyu's shoulder to get the girl to follow her, and headed towards the stairs.

"If you wouldn't mind waking Elrohir," Haradhel called after them. "Celeborn will be looking for him soon, as will the others who will be going."

"Good morning, Donovan," Elnara smiled tiredly at him as she passed by him on her way to leading Miyu to her room. "We've just finished, and I think Haradhel is working on getting everyone together ..."

She rubbed her eyes. As much as she had been tempted to use the elven sleep, she didn't want to sleep through half their trip in repayment of it.

"You sleep," Elnara murmured to Miyu. "I'll get Elrohir."

She brought Miyu to her room, and then turned around and headed back towards the stairs. She was used to being tired, and to lacking sleep, what with the twins and all, so she didn't have it as hard as Miyu did.

Once she had woken Elrohir, she headed to the room she and Lore were sharing with the twins on their visit. The twins it seemed were still asleep, and after changing into her night clothes, she slipped into bed and pulled the blanket high, snuggling close to Lore for warmth and comfort.


Meanwhile, downstairs, Haradhel was still working on getting everything ready when she heard Donovan coming down the stairs.

"Morning, Donovan," she called out. "Come on and get something warm to eat before you leave. I think most of the snow has disappeared now but it's still a bit chilly."

"Good morning, well at least it isn't snowing," Donovan replied.

He was just glad that it wasn't snowing otherwise that would be troublesome considering they were going to be out tracking slavers. The kitchen smelled like food, which was a given seeing as people had been preparing food all night.

"Thanks," Donovan murmured as he began to eat.

It was early morning, sure he was going on a hunt but it was quiet and peaceful for now so it was a good start to the day.

At least it was peaceful until he heard what sounded like a thump upstairs followed by some cursing. There was only one person in the family that would curse besides himself.

Toshiro.


Toshiro's early morning was turning out well, normally he would sleep in. Bonded or not he liked his sleep, he liked being asleep and he liked being able to curl up in the sheets and stay that way. It wasn't until he felt a tug on his wing did he notice something was not right. He was laying on his wing, which was weird because he was sleeping on his side and his wings were small. He shifted to try to move his wing, shifted a bit more and then fell off the bed.

Naked as he noted what was left of his boxers.

"s**t!"

Toshiro, the cute little boy and become a very cute young man, a cute pissed off young man.

"Dammit!" he quickly got up and pulled the sheets off to wrap around his waist.

A few more moments later there was thumping on the stairs of someone hurrying down. It was only then that through the door where everyone who was having breakfast was did Toshiro appear.

Half naked at best, and looking like he just got out of bed, if the bed cover wrapped around Toshiro's waist didn't tip it off.

Oddly enough he was kind of tall for someone who spent half his life sleeping, probably around Donovan's height.

"You finally grew," Donovan smirked from behind his drink.

"So not funny Dad."
