Solaris
{Sorry, I'll be taking my leave now.}

{Traverse Town : First District}

Anger that the woman had dodged his attacks had swiftly turned to sorrow after he was hit by the wail. It instantly brought back memories of his past, the slavery, the beatings, everything. Without paying any attention to the poison, Sol fell and curled up, crying at the pain that the memories and the fog were inflicting.

He lay there, tears flowing out, until the rain hit his robes. Thankfully, the robes protected most of his body but, unfortunately, they left his head exposed. Crying from the pain once again, Sol staggered up, trying to find a new place to hide.

Not finding one, Sol staggered around, bringing up his robe to hide his face, exposing his hands to the rain. Gripping his staff tighter to prevent himself from dropping it, he looked around with a tear stained face. Seeing the woman, now more tired than before, he dropped his hands, letting his head once again be hit by the rain. Holding his staff out, Sol channeled his magic into the bottom, focusing until he had accumulated enough. "Rending Earth." Quickly slamming his staff on the ground, the magic was transferred into the earth. In response, the earth started to shake as more cracks appeared until, finally, the earth began to split. It would be seen as a large crevasse appearing from the point where his staff had struck the ground, growing wide enough to swallow a grown man, heading straight towards Aria in an attempt to trap her, because for all it's length, it wasn't very deep, only ten feet at the most.

{Ooo goody what are we torturing today...}

[Castle Oblivion; Kitchen]

Haruko looked at her board and smiled when she got the bishop. She usually never won against Vereor but it was fun to watch the pieces get destroyed. However when she heard Vereor say that he had to leave she imediatly saw the end and the "checkmate".

"AW MAN!!!" she pouted and crossed her arms as she saw him leave. She then looked at Masenko and walked up to him. "Sigh... Its always so boring when everyone leaves.... would you like and go on a trip with me....?" she asked Masenko. "However Vereor said you should stay here.... I might as well get some fun and watch a fight from afar.... if you want you can follow! It will be a party!!" she giggled and opened up her own corridor of darkness and stepped right in and waves to him.

She then dissapated just like Vereor to somewhere to get a good seat at the action.
-----------------------------------------

[Traverse Town : First District]

Haruko stepped out of the corridor ontop of a building with and imediatly saw Aria fighting with someone. "Hehe comeon Aria dance!" she whispered since she was supposed to keep low key. She however, kept giggling to herself watching everything fall to pieces and the torture. "Comeon Aria can't you torture anything around here..."

[Current Location: Orpheus - Traverse Town - First District]

“Death is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me~!”

User Image
When Orpheus had spewed the wall of flames from his mouth, it temporarily blinded his senses. After all, since he used his snake-like tongue to detect scent, and there was fire currently coming from his mouth, he would be a fool to try scenting out anything now, 'less he wanted to burn that sensitive tongue right off. However, his half-elven ears perked a little from under his locks of gray hair when he heard what sounded like a second person unleashing a dragon's breath.

'Ooooh, happy day~! Another person who joins the fray~ Maybe later we can play~ But only if master says I may~' Amusing himself even in the battle, Orpheus finished with his attack, and immediattly leapt back, flicking his snake tongue out several times to detect his surroundings and see if there were any changes. Just as he was though, Orpheus ound himself thrown back about ten feet from an undetectable shockwave caused by Aria, thrown off his fist feet. Reacting as quickly as he could, Orpheus managed a sloppy recovery, digging his massive claws into the ground and tearing up some of the pavement to slow the effect, and forcing himself on his hands and feet like a tiger on the prowl. "Neat~ So the witch knows some things to~ Dirty-dirty, shouldn't strike others in the back." He said with a big grin, those sharp fanged teeth extended out in a wide grin.

Before going into another attack though, Orpheus flicked his tongue out a few more times, pausing his confrontation with Ölüm. It seemed that the others in this fight were weakening, he could sense with his tongue that many were no longer moving as much, and even got a taste in the air of a growing humidity, followed by... "Taint of... Acid? Oh-ho~! How interesting! Interesting indeed~!" He was more than happy to see that finally there was a form of an attack that would actually effect him somewhat. Well... there was the fire, but he handled that pretty well if he did say so himself.

Now, Orpheus may have been an undead, giving him numerous immunities, not even effected by the poison around the, but fire was something that hurt him about as much as any human would be. His skin was stitched and layered more thanks to Ayla, making him tougher, but it would still burn all the same. Acid rain wasn't too much of a problem either, but still something he needed to be aware of, as he returned his hands inside his sleeves, hoping to spare his skin from getting slowly burned away. Instead, Orpheus had a feeling that the fun should cease, and he should find his master. He was worried about Ayla now... he didn't like being seperated from her for too long.

"Er.... exit, stage left. Eh-heh..." With an awkward smile and a laugh, Orpheus turned around, seeing the exit to the second district, or rather, scenting it out, and recalling from where he came. He was too far away from Ayla to keep his link with her or see from her eyes, only making him worry more and he started to make his leave. However, Orpheus scented out two unique, and dying creatures as he was on his way out. Orpheus knew how much his master loved new things, and it would be a shame to let them die without Ayla getting her chance to observe and study them, so Orpheus found himself stopping in front of a large bird (Enyb), and a rabbit-like humanoid (Nalo). Now, without his eyes, Orpheus couldn't see them, but he could scent out their unique smells, and knew he was standing before two creatures that were far from normal, and because of that, he would bring them to master.

"What's this - what's this? Looking a little blue~? Then allow me to help you~? Eh-heh-heh.." With another rhyme, Orpheus stood before the two of them, ready to snatch them up and get them out of here. Of course, for Nalo and Enyb, seeing Orpheus probably made them think he was another enemy. He stood tall with patches of different colored skin along his face with stitched, had just a patch of skin over where his eyes should be, wore a long, black coat and hat that covered him from the neck down, his sleeves so long that it hid his hands which could easily conciel a weapon, and his grin presented nothing but sharp, fanged teeth. He was clearly not of the living, and even though he offered help, that stench of death surrounding his unnatural body as he stood just fine in the poison mist had presented him more as a foe than friend, even if he really was offering to aid them.

{[Elde]}

"Why does fortune...seem to strike the most kindhearted people? Is everything just pre-ordained?"

.:[Traverse Town: First District]:.

She had released a shockwave out, successfully blocking three attacks from every direction. Great. Elde had been directly above her and got a shockwave right to the face, the impact almost knocking him unconscious as it propelled him straight up in the air. He rolled and twisted through the air, but managed to shake himself awake at the peak of his ascent. He flipped twice as he fell and managed to land on his feet, he had lost his swords and they landed stabbing into the ground a few feet away. When he landed he went into a crouched in pain.

Apparently we didn’t weigh the odds very well…

He didn’t really know what to do right now, everything seemed hopeless against these awesome foes. Maybe the issue was that they were being to offensive. He felt flecks of rain touch his skin and it took a second for him to realize they were burning his skin. Perfect. He glanced into the middle of the poisonous downpour and saw Sory, yelling at the woman they were desperately fighting.

Hmm…

He decided to play the odds. He ran towards Sory and grabbed his swords as he went activating the reels again. He stood beside the Dragon knight in a protective stance with his large blade pointing towards Aria.

“Hope you don’t mind if I help you out”
he said with a smirk, in a way that wouldn’t interrupt the intense conversation they were having. The lady seemed to be currently focused on this kid so Elde was hoping she’d launch another attack and he’d have a chance to counter effectively. He stood letting the acid rain wash over him, steam emerging from his sword and body where the drops hit. He hoped something would happen soon, he couldn’t endure this much longer.

[ Enyb ]

{Kweh...[Oh my...]}

[Traverse Town: First District]

Eynb coughed up some of the poison gas, trying not to breath too deeply. Had to avoid breathing some more. Had to stand. Had to get out. Had to help the bunny-human...

Bunny-human?

Oh! That human with the rabbit ears that fed him earlier. And was now apparently moving him out of the fog...and burning rain.

The chocobo lifted a wing and flapped it once, giving Nalo a small window of fresh air, before attempting to get up. If he could get up, he could get them both to safety. Both out of the fog and rain. Away from the girl that made the painful noises.

And then he breathed too deeply, the burn causing him to collapse in pain as he stared up at the outline of a person. That's all he could see, couldn't smell anything cause of the fog, and anything else to tell what the human(he guessed) was was currently fuddled.

"...War...Kweh...[Who...help...]" he warked out feebly, knowing full and well he needed help at this point, otherwise, he might just take the route of that saying.

((Um, Raz? Yeah, Enyb isn't yellow, he's green. Like...mint green. Just saying.))

[Wyatt: Traverse Town: Second District]

Wyatt turned his head around after he spoke and saw that Ayla pointed her finger up in the air. He then watched her walk to the door and watched her cast a billizard spell on the door. Wyatt thought it was a good idea, because now the green fog could not come in the district. However, he did noticed it was colder, because of the spell, but it didn't bother Wyatt that much. As long as he could get the girl to a safer spot and find out what was causing the fog he didn't really care.

So, Wyatt waited for Ayla to get on his back. After she got on his back Wyatt was about to move when someone went to him to ask him about what was going on. Before Wyatt could say that he didn't know someone else answered him. Wyatt turned his head so that he could face the man. Wyatt noticed that he didn't look like he was going to harm anybody, but how did the guy know what was going on? Not that it really mattered how he knew. It was just important that he knew. So, two people are attacking the town. One of them isn't my king is it? I should be able to findout after I get the girl to higher ground. Or better yet maybe this guy would know.

" Does one of them wear a crown on their head?." Wyatt asked knowing that the guy (Vereor) was probably talking to the other guy (Zigmund) and not him. However, he wanted to know. If one of them did have a crown on their head, then it might be the king from Wyatt's world. If so, then Wyatt would need to leave the world or hide the key that was hanging around his neck.

{ Don't underestimate the light. }

[Traverse Town : Mystical House]

Mina felt the need to dust herself off after the spell ended, Merlin's powerful magic depositing them at their destination with a puff of smoke. This form of transportation was one she rarely experienced, but when she did she always found the need to pat down her clothes afterward. Like the smoke would stick to her pretty pink clothing, or something. Not that she really cared so much, the small mouse loved pink, loved being girly, and was proud of it. But if her clothes got dirty... meh. She'd just wash them later!

"Pink is good!" she said, randomly. It made sense to her. Laughing, excited to be in Traverse Town -finally!- she hopped off the table, and approached Vain. He towered over her by four feet, a fact she didn't seem to mind. "Hi, there. I'm Mina."

“Don’t have a wishbone where your backbone should be.”

Silent as always, Ayla never actually spoke her gratitude towards Wyatt, but she was thankful none the less that he was heping her. The petite, gothic-lolita girl wouldn't even be much of a hinderance do to her light frame, and remained around his back, hanging on with a light grip, her frail little hands still around his collar. Fir a human girl, she felt abnormally cold though, not only just the blizzard spell, but her entire body, like she was a few degrees colder than how a normal person should be, almost... like she was dead. The girl then noticed though two other people. One was a male in his twenties, with metal-gray hair and approaching them with a niave look, like he was just a ditzy idiot who didn't realize the anger. The other one... had a black coat and an uncomforting aura about him. She immediattly found something, about him to feel odd, and silently, she started to scan him, her misty gray eyes looking him over like she was mentally prepping for surgery, trying to understand just what this person was. So far, she had already encountered one human that seemed more than just human, and that was Souzourou. So, seeing as how it was possible to find other unique people on this world such as herself, Ayla made sure to keep herself prepared. Wyatt would see that from the corner of his eye as Ayla released one hand, she started to remove something from her dress. It was... a needle? It had a aint essense of magic to it as well, and from the corner of his eye, he would see that the needle was black, and she held it between her fingers like a dart, observing the cloaked man before her and Wyatt with a sharp glare.

[Traverse Town :: First District]

Aria stared at Soryuju, she honestly didn't expect him to answer. She began to jumble options in her head, she considered lying to him, she considered avoiding the question, but finally... Aria lowered her weapon slightly, confused by the human's actions then took on a rather amused expression as another human came over as if to defend the now vulnerable dragon knight.

"Black hair... yes, our Vereor has black hair." She answered, contemplating telling him that Vereor was just right out the gate. Her gaze turned to the gate between the first and second district and she smiled as she looked back to Soryuju. Then suddenly, she looked to Sol, her eyes narrowing in a glare as she jumped to avoid the snaking crevasse. "Where are your manners? Can't you see the adults are talking?" Aria lifted one finger in the direction of Spellcaster and drew it towards her, she was stealing his voice! The glowing thread would come out from his mouth and he would be unable to speak or cast spells for a duration of time. She then turned to look at one of the distant rooftops, it was hard for people to hide when she could hear everything, and she shook her head in disappointment.

"Hush up Haruko."

Zigmund

[Traverse Town> Second District

Zigmund turned to face the new man a slight bit later then the other two individuals he was approaching. The man in question was clad in a tattered black cloak, and gave him a feeling in his gut, as though this was the kind of person who rarely played all of his cards at once. Very well, he knew how to play this game too.

While he didn't let his mask drop, Zigmund did straiten a bit before asking his question.

"Two warriors? I see...what do you mean by one being similar to me?"

Haruko giggled at Aria's antics and put a hand over her mouth. "Sheesh Aria I was told to keep low key... so I decided to watch you fight... and so far your stinking!!!"

She then put her hand in a thumbs up possition and put it facing downward. "Remember I am a criminal from a certain group's planet!! Don't want the to know where I am." She giggled and waved to her still hidden ontop of the building. "Can't you torture him before I ruin your mission?" she then got out some of her instraments of torture just to be funny.

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Traverse Town : Second District -> First District]

"Wasted breath on useless questions never got anyone where they needed to go," Vereor replied cryptically to both men (Wyatt and Zigmund), the shadow of the hood hiding the ghost of a smirk he'd released before walking toward the gates, noticing the dissipation of the poisonous mist- now he was particularly curious as to what was going on. Before opening the doors, he looked down to his wrist, as if to look at a watch, his back to the others. A gem seemed to gleam for just a split second in the street lamp's light before dissipating.

What is Haruko doing here...?

With a light shrug, he placed one hand on the gates that were frozen over- and in a strange occurrence, the ice crystals all shattered, allowing him to push the gates open, briefly glancing back toward Zigmund. "Perhaps you're curious about such powers- about such people. There are those who are just as curious, and they're not all that hard to find..."

As his voice trailed off, he began to talk into the First District, slowly walking over the cracked glass and the holes of tremors past.

Zigmund

[Traverse Town: Second District>First District

Now Zigmund really was sure this man knew something. This cloaked man had answers, answers that he, in all of his knowledge, couldn't figure out. He also had a feeling this man wanted something in return. What it was, he wasn't quite sure.
Following Vereor through the gate (and into what was looking like a war zone.), Zigmund decided to stop playing dumb with the man.

"Curious is an understatement. I was, for all intents and purposes, killed. And yet I came back in the same body, yet as a new man. So you've gotten my attention, but I know from experience that knowledge does not come without its prices. So, if I may ask you sir, what do you want?"

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Traverse Town : First District]

Craning his head around just barely at the man to see if others would follow, he didn't quite reply, entering one of the nearby stores- the door had been flung open by an earlier shockwave. Nobody was inside, probably having been scared off by the fighting.

"Close the door behind you," he said softly- not a command, more like a suggestion. He began to walk down the length of the store, down toward a window, which overlooked the battlefield- the once-shattered window immediately glossed over with dim, one-way glass.

"Such knowledge is free, I promise, though it comes with an offer," he explained, lightly looking over the battlefield- it was hard to see due to the acidic rain, likely caused by Olum. "Your heart was removed- likely by creatures of shadow; they are known as Heartless. The name is ironic, due to the fact that Hearts are all they have- they are composed of bodiless Hearts -- metaphysical hearts, that is --, given form by the Darkness that once possessed them. They're only goal is to reproduce by removing the hearts of others, like yourself."

"You see, those metaphysical hearts are the source of emotion, of feeling. What happens when the heart is removed depends entirely on the will of the being- if they are weak-willed, their soul and body will separate and vanish. However, if they are strong-willed," he explained, his voice trailing off- and then, two Dusks appeared at his side, twitching and spasming before kneeling over toward Zigmund. "Then the soul stays attached to the body, forming a Nobody- again, an ironic name. Depending on the strength of will, you may become a stronger Nobody- these are Dusks, some of the weakest of us. You- you are an example of our strongest."

"You seem intelligent, so is it correct of me to assume I have not lost you?"
