thank you... Also this other kid had a good theory too.
Terk from AMO This is a very long theory so I tried to use as many paragraphs as possible so that reading would be easier. Sorry that it had to be so long Chloe Sullivan has been described as the “proto-Lois” (Wikipedia, Chloe_Sullivan). She is the character that is most interested in journalism in the show. She has shown that fundamental curiosity that most journalists require in order to further their career. Not only that, but she is smart and quite the detective at such a young age. Her drive as a journalist has landed her an internship at the Daily Planet and many of her personality traits are consistent of the iconic Lois Lane of lore. EDLois Lane is a newly introduced character to the Smallville scene. Obvious to the name, she is believed to be THE Lois Lane of the comics. However, as the Smallville story progressed, EDLois Lane seemed less and less inclined to follow a path towards journalism, a quintessential part of the iconic Lois Lane. Nevertheless, EDLois Lane is still given the same background and some characteristics of the iconic Lois Lane. In a couple of interviews, it has been revealed by Eric Durance herself that her character on Smallville is prohibited from journalism and even to date Clark Kent. This has also been revealed through the writers of Smallville. Proof is available upon request. These restrictions have created a rift in consistency and continuity to the comics and movies. I believe that this is one of the main reasons the writers of Smallville created the character of Chloe Sullivan. The first part of my theory (or hypothesis if you want to get technical) is that Chloe Sullivan and EDLois Lane are in fact two parts to the same person; the iconic Lois Lane. Chloe Sullivan is the journalistic, inquisitive, compassionate, confident, self-driven side of Lois Lane. EDLois Lane is the back-story (such as having a sister named Lucy Lane and a retired military father named Sam) and the free spirited side of Lois Lane. When the two parts are put together, you get Chloe Lane, the much sought after Lois Lane of the comics. I believe that AlMiles used the character of Chloe Sullivan as an outlet to the journalistic side of Lois Lane without breaking the rules by directly involving EDLois Lane in journalism. At the same time, Chloe Sullivan can get romantically involved with Clark Kent since she is technically not Lois Lane. The second part of my theory is that Chloe Sullivan does get romantically involved with Clark Kent eventually. Clark will fall for Chloe but as in most romances, ends in tragedy. Here comes the third part and most important part of my theory. Chloe and EDLois become transfused together. This part of my theory is still a bit shaky since I only came up with it this morning, but by some special effect/power in the mysterious world of Smallville, the two characters of Chloe Sullivan and EDLois Lane become fused into one; a new Lois Lane. This new Lois Lane (Chloe Lane) will then finally resemble the iconic Lois Lane. The Lois Lane that not only believes in life as a journalist, but has the tools and abilities to become a great journalist. The Lois Lane that is strong willed and self motivated to become the top journalist at the Daily Planet. The Lois Lane that has the back-story of a sister named Lucy and an ex-military officer named Sam as her dad. The Lois Lane that kicks a** (in hand to hand combat)…for a girl. The Lois Lane that is in love with Superman and not Clark Kent…for the time being. The fourth part of my theory is that this fusion between EDLois and Chloe will have a huge burden on her brain, resulting in a massive loss of memories. Memories that may include Clark’s true identity, other relationships in Smallville, and maybe even Smallville in its entirety. Most of her remaining past memories will come from EDLois such as her family being Sam and Lucy Lane. This leaves Chloe Lane (new Lois Lane) a fresh blank slate to start with. This way, her meeting Clark at the Daily Planet for the first time becomes more plausible, and could explain why she only sees Clark as more of an opponent then as her young attractive friend. It can also explain why Lois is in love with Superman and not Clark. Simply put, Chloe’s feelings for Clark will pretty much be erased along with some other key memories that endanger the secret identity of Clark. The fifth part of my theory involves the relationship that Chloe and Clark were romantically involved. Again, this part of the theory is shaky but is important. So in some way or form, Clark falls for Chloe, but because Chloe ultimately disappears (fused to EDLois Lane) he is a bit crushed and depressed. Now here comes the tricky part; whether Clarks keeps his memories of Chloe or not. If Clark does keep his memories of Chloe, when the new Lois Lane comes along it will be a major contributor to why he falls in love with and ultimately marries Lois Lane. The new Lois Lane will have the characteristics and personality traits of both Chloe and EDLois. Clark will recognize that this new Lois Lane has some of the same characteristics and personality traits of Chloe that he so loved and admired, and also he will see some of the traits of EDLois that he respected and looked up to. Loved + Admired + Respected + Looked Up To = Infatuation. This can help explain why Clark Kent becomes so deeply in love with the new Lois Lane. Even if Clark’s memory of Chloe is wiped, since he did fall for Chloe once, his love and admiration for her is already inherent, so he merely needs to glimpse Chloe’s characteristics and personality traits in the new Lois Lane to rekindle the love that he once felt. My theory is still rough and bumpy since it has not been completely ironed out yet, but I have merely created a foundation on which more can be built on later. Please feel free to discuss and add to the theory or refute and express your disgust for it. Whatever you do, please be nice…this is after all a discussion not an argument.

This is an AMAZING theory! I actually kinda love it. I would never see something like this coming if they actually did it in Smallville (except that now i've heard it here). I wonder if they really might do this. If they did, I think I would really go for it. It definately beats Chloe dying (which I have been fearing for some time now sad )

actually no not all the way. That does not by any mens i am going to stop believing my theory. you never believed it in the first place so I am not quite sure as to why you felt the need to say that. People are going to believe the theory until the show ends. It is never to late to change especially in a television series where "politics" happen and eventually you have to start making changes. Chlois and Clois are right now both have very similar ratios of happening right now. If CHlois does happen then it will not be following suit of the comics or whatever Superman reference you are using, as well as Clois happening. My dreams are like the man of Steel, and my only kryptonite is the end of the show.

It's most logical to assume that it's not going to happen but you believe in it anyway. Another 2 parts of your evidence are proven wrong...Martha Was in the Fos and lois was in the Fos unconsious. And lois is now definitly getting into journalism....

If you were a journalist then you would know that writing for a rag mag is hardly considered respectable journalism its writing for money. If i just have "fan girl syndrome" then why do you care? nothing you say is going to change my mind then what point is it in even trying. Its also logical to say that Clana and Clois are never going to happen on Smallville if you are going by what the comics say. But yet do people still not root on for Clana and Clois? yes they do. Where does it say that i have to stop believing my theory? no where. So i am going to continue to support it until the day Smallville finally calls it quits.

She does get paid doing it. Its her JOB. she sends articles into their headquarters and you get paid for any junk you send them that they publish. Then if by your words they don't follow the comics then that just strengthens my theory doesn't it?Seeing as Chloe wasn't in the comics and if the show is following the comics then heck! why can't it happen? Besides its Smallville, weird things happen there. remember?

Chlark is possible to happen...I have a feeling it won't though...But that's not the case here. Most of your reasons are really weak or defeated...Logic says no. Lois got into journalism because she was interested in it..DO I need to watch the episode again and supply you with quotes?
