"Strawberry red?" He said, glancing at the box. "If you're fitting in at a highschool I suppose." He snapped the gloves on, starting to mix it in.
"It's not a 'what would I do'. I haven't given that any thought, but all these powers cropping up does seem more bad than good."

"What? Have a problem with strawberry red?" Kat chuckled, trying to put her mind to enjoying the scalp massage instead of focusing on the burning chemical smell that was attacking her nose. "I take it you prefer the brunettes."

Kat let out a small breath and nodded, "It is more bad than good. There's no way to fancy-foot that one."

"It's very 'highschool'." He smiled, "Well, it could be good if they get a super hero thing going."

Rook stepped into the kitchen, admiring the view for a moment, before leaning against the counter.
"Ultimately, the Keepers want all the power. There's no room for choice, or right and wrong. No heroes, no villains. Just them. Every power. And what they can't control, they destroy. They can't control this city. They may not be all bad guys, but the sure as hell don't mean us good," Rook took a deep breath, "And that's why I'm going to enroll with Kat. We need to know more... See what we can do."

"Damnit! Open the damn window before I break it open!" She waited, and when there was no response, she sighed and climbed toward the roof. "Friggin' blind, thats what they are." She paced back and forth, listening as the whispers got louder and louder. "Well, Whaddya want me ta do about it! Tell me what to look for!" A wordless cry knocked her back, saving her life. A sawblade whirred past her face and then lodged into a chimney.

Krieger snarled angrily. This woman was not the target, but would make a good meal. If only she hadn't dodged his weapon. He started to take a step forward, then stopped. How did she dodge my blade? I came at her from behind. He dropped low to the roof and sidled towards her. It seemed no matter which angle he came at her from, she kept aligned with him. "Damn...Oh well. I'll just go after the target then." Krieger moved down the roof and onto the wall, then turned and dashed towards the window. He smashed into it and stopped, wondering why it hadn't broken. Then he realized that his skin was normal again and he couldn't go serpintine again. Soon rational thoughts invaded his mind. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. His human side overwhelmed his killer side, and he decided to do something crazy. He grabbed the window sill with both hands and smashed it in with his head, then jumped inside.

"As I said, you're the type to go for the brunettes. Red head fans are a little more devoted." She gave him a smile, "I'll forgive you," she said as if there was something to forgive. "It will make it easier if my fan-club stays small."

Kat tossed him the plastic cap from the box, "Time to roll it up and let it sit for a while."

She tossed Rook a smile, though it was at a slightly awkward angle, laying on the counter as she was. "Good, I can cheat off your tests in class." She was about to make another comment when the sound of glass crashing paused her words. Her eyes widened in fear as she quickly sat up, the dye trailing down her back.

"Yes, you can. Two pairs of eyes and ears are better than one alone. I can slip in anywhere, and with your talents, you can get information we couldn't normally. Sounds good." The sound of breaking glass was met with Rook slowly sliding a sharpened spike out of his right wrist.
"Jarred, watch her, and stay down. I'll check." He whispered, swiftly and quietly making his way towards the source of glass.

Cursing at the sound of glass breaking, Maya turned and leaped off the building, catching a drainpipe on the way down. She catapulted through the already broken window and crashed into a tall man. A tussle ensued, rolling around on the floor and generally causing mayhem. Finally, Krieger's superior arm length had Maya away from his throat so he could speak. "Back off woman! I'm here on a rescue mission." Maya stopped dead, confused and off balance. "What?" she asked, suprised. "Get off me dammit!" He pushed her forcefully and then froze when he saw the room full of people. "Uhh....Oh crap." Maya stood up and dusted her coat off and looked around the room as if she didn't just break in.

Jarred jumped at the sound, ignoring Rook as he raced out as well.
Rex was already on the floor in front of Maya, growling, teeth bared.

"Who the ******** are.." Jarred glanced out the window. "How the hell did you get up here?"

Rook rushed up behind Jarred, keeping his blade hidden.
"Does it matter? She might very well be one of them."

((Ok, I've got to ask, Skulblaka, how did Maya get to the top of the building? The other dude, sure, he's got the lizard thing going, but this is a tall building, they're high up, and it's not really made for hopping around on.))

Kat followed after them, trying to stick the last bits of her hair beneath the plastic cap as she hid herself slightly behind Jarred.

Rook looked to Kat, sliding his wrist spike back up into his hand, taking care to keeping his arm hidden.
"So, now. What about the interloper?"
