Aisha replied without looking back. "I have many names, but you may call me Aisha. I should hope you know where I come from, as I followed you. As to your last question, that is my business. If I decide to stay long with the group I'll let you know." As she spoke she walked through the wall of trees to a small circle that was clear of the forests tall trees.
----
Selce listened suspiciously to the demon from behind Althenna. As they neared the clearing she watched Althenna to make sure she was ok with the hard pace that was being set. She let her mind wander back to why she had left with Anduril. Then Selce had hoped for adventure as she thought it was. Not the constant travel to places, and stress to see if they would be in a fight.

Anduril prodused a small vial of icy blue liquid from beneath his cloak. There was barley enough for a mouthful."The ingredients for this are very rare," Anduril said to Althenna as he handed her the vial."I only found the last ingrediet a week ago. Pleaase be more careful when we go there."

Nalken rested easier. Thank goodness Selce had maintained her calm and found a peaceful solution. He smiled, interested at Anduril's preparedness. That elf would simply HAVE to be encouraged in his pursuit of healing...

Althenna downed the drink and nearly choked.

That's really bitter. She shook her head a bit, already feeling a slight clearing of it, I can't take another hit like that. Not only because there isn't another antidote made but I don't know if I could handle it. She frowned easing off of Valora to walk on her own two feet.

"But I want that damn elf." She grumbled to herself. His attitude might need a bit of an adjustment but his skill was impressive. They could definitely use someone like that in their quest.

Valora continued to hold Althenna steady, who unfortunately had to down another medical drink. Val could just smell it and curled her nose at it. But she curled her nose more at the idea of that Balor coming with them. This team was just full of people with different motives - most she didn't trust.

She heard Althenna grumble to herself after enduring the pain of bad taste. "Are you sure he can help us?" Val whispered to her so that only she and the demons could hear. "Don't you thinks it's a bit risky to trust them? They could probably kill us when we're not ready! Especially the big one!" she knew the Balor would have heard, but if she reacted wrong, it would give them more reason not to trust her. She was much to powerful to give the benefit of the doubt.

Aisha merely grinned without turning back. "Ah I could but I only wish to talk." She told the trees around her and just loud enough for them to hear behind her. She continued on down the path as the trees gradualy began to diminish.

Selce shook her head at the Balor's words and turned around to hook a thumb at Aisha. "You'd think she would be a bit nicer traveling with the group and all." She said quietly to not be overheard.

The trees of the forest grew thinner and thinner as the group progressed through it but something seemed amiss. The few trees that stood were beaten and battered, some of the trunks covered in blood and stained red forever. This time though the Elf appeared standing in front of the group his eyes piercing red staring into their very souls it seemed, he motioned for them to stop and go no farther, his hands twisted around in such a way it was as if to tell them to leave the very area and go back the way they came. The elf disappeared then reappeared in Althenna's shadow and whispered quietly to the group, "Leave now or they shall come and kill you all," and just as soon as he appeared he disappeared again to reappear on a tree branch looking over them, he sat down still staring at them and waited for their response.
The forest moaned ahead of them as the elf sat on the tree looking at the group. Chants could be hear but they were in some foreign dialect unknown to outside the forest, smoke rose from an area not to far ahead from the group through a more thickly treed area of the forest. "Leave or die." The elf said again this time louder as he looked at them one final time before disappearing again for the last time leaving the group's sight range, the wind began to whistle wildly and violently as the chanting grew louder and louder, an arrow shot from behind the group flew into the direction of the chanting and caused it to stop momentarily.

Now the Balor was the newest addition to the group- just another person for Kayn not to trust. And since the demon was a Balor she either matched or surpassed just about everything Kayn had going for herself as a demon- strength, flight, power…

And now Althenna wanted the shadow mage elf to join their cause? Not that he wouldn’t be a force to be reckoned with if on their side, Kayn just really had a deep hatred growing for the world right now.

And just as Althenna mentioned the shadow mage, he appeared amongst the trees, causing Kayn to tremble in anger and let out a feral snarl.

“Speaking of the bast*rd…” she growled furiously.

Althenna straightened and coolly set an arrow to her bow.

"I didn't think I'd be doing so much fighting so soon but I have no complaints." She said with an air of indifference as she took easy aim, "As far as turning back... I am honor bound to complete my quest. No creature in any world can make me go back on my word. Stand in my way and you will perish."

"Then your mind is made up and I shall see to it that you keep your promise." A voice said as the Shadow Mage elf appeared in front of them in his hooded cloak only his red eyes shown through the black that concealed his face. "I would like to accompany one who thinks they can take on the world." He said happily as he reached and picked his bow and a small quiver of arrows. "May I be allowed to join you on your quest, I'm in seek of a new forest home since some goblins and trolls have infested this one." The elf said aloud as the chanting began again but this time it was barely heard as the elf spoke.

Althenna shook her head as she laughed, "You have a strange way of finding allies! But what the hell! Why not? We've already got three here who'd like to see me dead. What's one who's already made an attempt on my life? 'Sides, we'll need someone like you if we're to take on Demon Lords." She grinned grimly.

Nalken nodded in agreement.
"Yes...once again, the more the merrier! But let us save our joy over a new companion for later, for from the sounds of that racket in the distance, we shall be sorely outnumbered and hard pressed to survive. A tactical withdrawal is in order, I think."

"This is the quickest way to our destination," Anduril said to him."It will be safer for those who can fly to carry those who can't over."

Aisha looked at the group and the sound of clamor ahead. "Are you all cowards to run away, for me to be forced to run as wellif I am to stay with you." She stated and began to think. "Very well, but fighting is what I was first born into, what I was born for, and what I live to do I must fight something." She stated, she hadn't wanted to make her feeling so apparent but it was done now.
-------
Selce stared at Aisha as the tirade ended. She looked back at Nalken and Anduril. "Guess demon's are as crazy as I thought. I suppose we are fleeing then?" She asked in a reserved tone. Her nerves were on edge, she had never been in an actual fight before and her nervousness was showing. "I can fly one person I think."

"We aren't a large enough group to fight them and win," Anduril told Aisha."I can carry one person at a time."
