Galdor led the boys to one bedroom, then led Lin to the next one over. "You're lucky you're the only girl on the trip," he chuckled. "You're the only one who gets a room all to yourself." He eyed Senka. "If you can call it that."

Senka stuck her tongue out at Galdor which got her a reprimand in the form of a tap on the head.

"It's pretty close to it," Lin grinned at Galdor, "She's so small that it'll be like having a room to one's self."

At least until she said something Lin thought to herself.

Galdor chuckled softly. "Well, make yourself comfortable," he smiled. "Sleep well, and we'll see you downstairs in the morning, yes?" And with a slight bow, he smiled at her and backed out of the room, closing the door behind himself.

It was a good thing Lin was use to sleeping in a bed that wasn't hers, she slept well. Though the effort of traveling probably added to the fatigue she experienced.

The next morning she certainly felt yesterday's and the days before that trip. Getting out of bed she felt slightly stiff and forced herself to stretch a bit before getting dressed.

"I always look so washed out when I wear white," she muttered to Senka who snorted.
"Clothes are silly."
"You're a cat, you don't need clothes," Lin muttered before picking Senka up and joining the others for breakfast.

When Lin got downstairs, Nadya and Gion were the only ones in the dining room. Gion was eating, but Nadya was clearing the table of used dishes.

"Good morning, Lin," she smiled warmly as Lin walked into the room. "Good morning, Senka. I hope you slept well. Are you ready for some breakfast?"

Gion also waved good morning to the two, smiling warmly as he ate his meal.

Lin waved back as Senka jumped from her shoulder and slid across the table. She couldn't help but roll her eyes, she knew her cat was an adult, but she acted more like a stuck up kitten!

"Breakfast sounds wonderful," she replied.

Eying the table, it seemed there had already been breakfast earlier.

"Has everyone else eaten?"

Nadya nodded and brought some clean dishes over to the table and set them in front of Lin, adding an extra bowl to the side for Senka. "Tinuviel and Aranel were the last to finish, I think they just took Regan outside," she smiled. "The nekos are shadowing Galdor, and I think Earendil just went off exploring on his own. Mother and Father are in the vineyard, it's picking season so that's actually where most of the people are ..."

Did she really sleep for that long, Lin had to ponder before Senka spoke up.

"I told you, you were spending too much time stretching."

As she took a seat she rolled her eyes at her cat, of course Senka would say something like that.

"I see...."

Nadya laughed softly. "They were all awake quite early," she assured Lin, "and I'm sure you must have been quite exhausted after your travel. Just take your time and relax, there's no need to rush for anything."

She brought over some thin slices of meat for Senka, and brought some breakfast for Lin. "Eat all you like," she smiled warmly. "There's plenty left."

Gion rose from his seat suddenly and began to sign to Nadya. After a moment she smiled and leaned over to kiss him on the top of his head, and then he was on his way out the door.

Senka nearly dove into her food, traveling wasn't nearly as fun for someone like her who needed meat and mainly ate dry while on the road. Even fish flakes became tiresome after a while.

"Thank you," Lin murmured.

Though she sort of felt at a lost of what to do since everyone else was busy, and perhaps still a bit stiff.

"I don't remember being this stiff on my last long trip, but then again I don't think I had paid that much attention last time."

Nadya kept clearing up the table as Lin ate her meal. "Well, to be fair," she pointed out, "the desert is much different than any other traveling you've done, I'm sure. The terrain is different, which makes riding a whole new experience, the heat induces sweating, which induces more saddle sores ... and the dryness would be unbearable for anyone, even those who are used to it."

She looked Lin over, her dark eyes thoughtful. "I'd say you did a marvelous job," she smiled. "At least you can move. I believe Ura returned to bed after breakfast, or for a soak in the tub."

"That's only because I had been to the Eastland recently," Lin shook her head, "Otherwise I would be in trouble. It was strange being there, I thought I knew what being in a desert city was like until I stayed there for a while."

She had also taken what she had learned to apply it to prepare for this trip. Full body clothing, light and white and a head scarf probably kept her from being brunt up badly.

"It was incredible, but made me appreciate summers back home more, and winter...."

She didn't like snow that much, but she could handle snow.

Nadya smiled warmly. "Yes ... Lothiriel told me of your visit," she said warmly. "It was probably quite a while since you were there ... I don't suppose you heard that Amora is expecting her first child?" She tilted her head slightly. "Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself ... I'm sure you probably didn't know she was married."

She paused for a moment, her eyes sparkling brightly as she looked at Lin.

Now there was a question Lin didn't think to ask, though she knew a week was roughly a year back home, and for the life of her she had been pretty sure it hadn't been that many weeks since her trip.

"How many years has it been? And whom did she marry?"

Nadya laughed softly and set the dishes in the washbasin. "How old was she when you were there?" she asked curiously, moving to sit with Lin instead of continuing with her work. "I thought it hadn't been that long ..."
