"As for learning anything, Mayuri has managed to capture one of the phantoms," Zukota rubbed his forehead with his forefinger and thumb, "he is going to try and communicate with it; though with him that may wind up being closer to torturing information out of it."

He gave her a mischevious grin. "I was thinking more along the lines of the boiling geysers and pure lye. But your suggestion works too." He smiled wickedly showing off his enlarged canines and allowing his uniquely colored eyes to glow dangerously.

The man who had reached towards the Arrancar and was frightened back a few paces, looked towards Zukota, "Sir, I've developed a prototype for a device that inhibits higher level scent detection, I think it may help the Arrancar to not be offended by our odor."
"See Kalron, he wasn't trying to put you in a test tube," Zukota said, smiling warmly at the frightened researcher, "he's just trying to help you out. Peara, you can have one too I suppose; that is, if Kuromi here has more than one made up."
Kuromi looked at the Captain Commander in shock, "You... you remembered my name," he stammered, "y.. yes, I do have more than one, but I'll have to modify it to match their unique spiritual rhythms."

The researcher ran back in the direction of the labs to retrieve his project for the two important guests. Zukota took in what both were saying while he watched the odd man make his way along.
"No one in Soul Society is a fan of Mayuri's methods, but he stays because he gets the job done," Zukota scratched his head in frustration, "I don't know the exact number of terrible things he is responsible for, but he has brought about enough good for the central 46 to decide that he is worth keeping around. If I were the one in complete control, Mayuri would be locked up again like he was over a century ago."

The group had finally reached their destination, the sprawling estate of the Captain Commander, even though he had seen it many times before, the sight was still breathtaking. "We're here," Zukota said smiling, "don't expect to get too much sleep until we have at least a few of these scrolls deciphered. And don't worry, I'll be up with you all working my hardest as well."
