"I don't expect no damn love confession from you, Nat! But I saw your looks, I heard your words! The way you said I was brilliant and beautiful at the wedding, you meant more than just a compliment!"

Teagan got just as close and in his face and loud as Nat, giving him just as much of a challenge. She came so close to his face that he could see her anger and fire within, even smell the scent of her hair.
"So why don't you make up your damn mind and figure out what the hell I mean to you already? Because I've had enough of you!"

Teagan was shocked for a moment before she was shoved away from him abruptly. But for some reason, she couldn't find it within her to slap him or yell at him anymore. Teagan lunged forward to catch the collar of his shirt and pulled him towards her with more strength than could be expected of her.
"Shut up and kiss me," she hissed, before giving him her own aggressive, angry kiss. Teagan still held onto his collar while the other arm wrapped around his middle to bring him closer. In all her anger and frustration, never did she think a kiss could serve as venting.

It seemed more like a fighting match between the two for a good few minutes, but things began to slow down and become gentler as a realization set in: they cared about each other, whether they were angry or not.
As Nat kissed her neck, Teagan whispered a few words from her freed lips. "You mean so much to me, Nat... Even though you piss me off, you mean the world to me."

"Yeah..." Teagan took his face in her hands and kissed one more time before slipping into a hug. He'd said it. She meant the world to him, just like she thought. It was a little selfish, maybe, to stand there thinking to herself how right she was, but gloating inwardly was deserved.
"Yeah, I can. But only if you forgive me. I've been so mean to you..."

"It's not about what we deserve, but about what we have." Teagan was getting very emotional as well, but like the wedding, they were happy tears.
"And you have me. So... hush up and make due, you softy." With a light laugh, Teagan met his eyes. If this could stay this way, she thought, maybe everything would make sense for once. Just maybe.

Teagan blushed at the closeness, but didn't protest. She rather enjoyed it. The warmth, being able to feel his heartbeat. Of course with past boyfriends, Teagan had seen it all mostly when it came to quiet moments, but this? It won her over somehow.
"I think you're amazing. Traveling, and learning all the stuff you know... Tell me the most amazing thing you've ever seen."

The swing gently swayed back and forth, back and forth, in the night breeze. Teagan realized they hadn't even eaten dinner, but apparently that didn't matter. She wasn't even hungry anyhow.

Teagan closed her eyes after that. He sounded so... truthful. It wasn't something that was said just because it fit perfectly into the conversation, but because it was simply a truth.
"...thanks, Nat. I think... I think you're the only person I can get mad at and still like at the end of the day."
A soft chuckle followed. "But let's try not to piss each other off, alright? I think I got everything off my chest that I needed to."

The question of whether or not he would leave seemed to be answered. Of course he wouldn't. Not when he had said she meant so much to him.

"Aw, shut up, Nat," she said in the most loving way she could. Because, Teagan finally had to admit to herself on the inside that she did love Nat.
It would just take a little time to tell him so herself, and so she had to settle on saying things with as much softness or feeling as she could.

Teagan fell asleep as she hugged him. Under the blanket was so warm, and the night was so nice that she could barely help herself as she felt herself relaxing to the rhythm of his breathing.
