"Um... what brings you here?" Her question was bland, but it was all she could think of. Rayne defiantly looked different. Her whole body was smaller, height almost taller, hair must longer, and just all out attitude seeming to be mellow, but nervious at the same time.

"You, actually" she blushed a little in nervousness. Stepping into the springs (they were much warmer than she remebered), she sat on the ledge "You look so different...." the longer hair only reminded her of how long Rayne had been gone.

"Heh. Well, I kind of like the change.. I mean, I could gain my weight back, but the hair kinda adds a bit more character." She gave a smile, why? She was just trying to be nice and lighten the awkward moment. "So... anything new with you?"

"I've missed so much..." She splashed the water, seeming to go out a but more further in the water, almost as if she was ashamed to be talking to Pale. "So... why are you here? And how did you know I was here?" Even though this sounded no more than a whisper, she was talking in her regular tone.

She noticed that Rayne was moving away from her. What was wrong? She couldn't have heard anything yet. "Because even if he hadn't told me, your aura lights up like a huge beacon whenever my ki is high. That's how I find half the people here."

"Pale... I don't feel like I belong here anymore... I mean, I've just been gone for so long and have missed so much... I've destroyed Jay's life, have probably made you upset, and I have drifted from everyone else... I would leave, but I have no where to go and am to scared to go back to Passé..." She let out a deep sigh, her fingers slowly stroking her hair.

"I'm not upset, and Jay is doing better. It's that you came back, made everyone hopefl again. When you and Tsubasa left at the same time- some really thought the adventure was over. You have been gone for a long time, but let me show you around. It's only a matter of time before you feel comfortable again." She knew enough about Passe, and had missed Rayne desperatly. She didn't doubt that it would be hrad for her to feel like she belonged again, but she knew that she could.

"I suppose Pale... Um, may I ask a favor? Can you.. er... bring me some clothes?" She gave somewhat of an awkward laugh, the water parting with her as her body moved up some. "And Pale... I'm really sorry I left. I wasn't expecting it myself.. and tell Jay I didn't mean to make him think that I hated him... I loved... love him so much... But I know I can change for he most likely has too... Everyone most likely has. Maybe we can go to dinner tonight and catch-up." Once finished, she sunk into the water, some bubbles pursting at the top of the water, her not going to submerge untill she left if possible.

She had to pause for a long moment after what Rayne said. She wouldn't lie to her, but she was losing her nerve to tell her what had happened. She hid her face so Rayne couldn't see her expression, and handed her the clothes clumsily.

"Thanks." She smiled, walking out of the water to put the clothes on. As she put everything on, she had to tie a string around the pants to keep them up, but just let the shirt make her look slightly more filled in. "I don't know about you... But I'm starving! Can't even remember the last time I ate!" As she started to walk away, down the path, she rung her hair out, then motioned Pale to follow her. "The tavern is still open, yes?"

"Oh, it's always open" Pale smiled wanely and took a moment to look at Rayne. So thin now, it worried her. How long had she been asleep? Months?

She tried to keep an upbeat attitude, but there was something wrong... She just didn't seem as energetic. "Man... I'm so hungry I could eat every tree we pass!" Yet she was feeling good enough to joke around, their next stop being the Clan's Bar.
