"Even more dramatically, the invention of the movable-type printing press in Europe, during the 1430s, led to an information explosion, the rapid spread of knowledge and ideas, and a revolution in intellectual life." Lavi said this with such emphasis that Raine had to giggle a little bit, for what he could trying to pull himself up to the bar. Every time he tried it just seemed as if his arms were going to fall off. It would have been much easier had he not trained so hard before this, and the push-ups were comings back to get him.

Rain took a deep breath. his body shook with pain and exhaustion. Closing his eyes, Raine felt the het pressing down on his skin. If he were in oto he could just lay in the rice fields for a few minutes. The thought of the cool water made him miss home terribly and feel the heat around him even more. A bead of sweat dripped over his eyebrow and down his closed eye. Raine opened his eyes, and looked up at the bar, taking a gasp before pulling with all his might.

"Good job Raine." Lavi said over to him, noticing that he had gotten up. He knew exactly how he felt, training so hard like this. He hadn't done so much when he was an academy student though. In all honesty, Lavi thought, if he were an academy student right now with Raine. The Tekkenseisai would have him in a fight. Shrugging he watched the boy work while continuing. "K onto Gender Issues. Women continued to occupy a secondary role in most societies. Women's political rights were minimal or nonexistent." Tsuyosa wiggled awkwardly when Lavi said this, he knew it was true. He thought of women differently than men. He just couldn't help it, they were completely different species, and his elders had taught him that Tekkenseisai men were all that mattered because they could fight. The Tekkenseisai women, didn't rarely fight at all.

Raine hung from the bar, almost limp, he breathed heavily and gasped for air. Pull-ups were the hardest training of anything. Tsuyosa was cruel to have him do this. He looked up the man heaving for air, and gave him a glare. The older Tekkenseisai just listened to Lavi go on about gender issues. He squinted and pulled himsefl up once more, "AH..." He grunted letting himself back down where he hung again. Sweat sticking his mowhawk to his forehead. The world was a cruel place to be. "Women sharply defined occupational roles. They were largely assigned to the domestic sphere and seen primarily as childbearers and homemakers. Most work women did outside the home-such as weaving, food gathering, or farm chores-was seen as low status."

Raine tried pulling himself up, his shoulders ached an ache that pulled itself all the way down into his back and knotted in his muscles. He prayed for the end of this horror of a life, and pulled himself up again. His features squeezing with the effort. He seethed in trying to feed his muscles enough air to function, but they were ripped and demolished beneath his skin, and had yet to grow back into stronger tissue. Lavi stopped to watch him, and grimaced with concern. Tsuyosa noticed this and looked back at Raine. He sighed, "Okay enough than." The man pulled his arm around the boys wiast and plucked him from the bar easily, Raine falling a bit himp in his arms. "Oh get a hold of your self, You're a tekkenseisai. Let's do some Taijutsu training before you get any more muscle. Besides, I've got a present for you. " Tsuyosa said setting the boy on the ground. Raine stood up and sighed, taking deep breathes and rubbing his aching hands. Anything sounded better than strength training right now.

Pushing the boy forward into the sparring room. Lavi followed quietly wondering what gift Raine was going to get. Tsuyosa stopped him at the large golden fist. Raine was a bit tired, and didn't really care for anything Tsuyosa was going to give him, for all he knew it could be a beating. But the man walked over to a equipment rack that had real weapons on it. This caught Raine's attention a bit and watched what he was doing. After a fwe seconds of searching the master stood with something in his hands. Raine couldn't quite tell what it was, but anticipation grew in him and he straighten up trying to see what it was. Tsuyosa put whatever it was behind his back and stood in front of Raine. "Hold out your hands." The man said gruffly which Raine did, holding them up in fonrt of him, it seemed as if he were begging, but that they were in his hands. The cool metal, Raine's eyes lit up, and a huge smile broke out upon his face.

"Really! Really! Do I get to keep them!" He almost yelled exstatically. The man laughed.

"Yes, these are your very own Aian Nakkuru. The greatest Tekkenseisai weapon." He said this and stepped back, taking his own pair which were much larger and used more often. "We're going to start some intermediate Taijutsu training.

Raine bubbled happily putting the weapons around his fingers and wiggling them happily inside the metal. Tsuyosa smiled, glad that the boy was feeling more up. "Okay, just get used to using them with punches and what-not for a few minutes." Tsuyosa said. "It's extremly important you know the limitations of your weapon. They should be like an extension of your body." He thrust his fist out, and the shine of the Aian Nakkuru gleaming in the sun was beautiful. Raine smiled up, and started off. Throwing pnches, and finding a proper position for his fingers.

"Don't just flail about, really focus!" Tsuyosa growled as the excited boy flung his arms around. He stepped over near Lavi.

"He is really into those." Lavi laughed at Raine who had put on a smile, even though he was so put out by his earlier training. The morning was upon them and the sun beat in through the room. Tsuyosa, and Lavi set about opening windows so that it wouldn't get too hot.

Raine heeded Tsuyosa's yelling and set himself in a stance, letting out powerful punches with the weapon. The cool metal felt right on his fingers. With these weapons he could really be a ninja!

"Hey Lavi why don't you keep going, I remember something about women." Tsuyosa said oddly from the other side of the gym, while Raine worked away, his arms were still nearly limp even through his excitement. Lavi looked up a bit surprised, it was odd that Tsuyosa was asking this time in stead of Rane"Ok....Well in the majority of world civilizations, women possessed at least some freedoms, including legal and economoic rights: in many cases, the right to divorce abusive husbands, the right to a dowry, the right to inherit and own property. " Raine listen while he worked around the blades in the air, their metal flashing. "That's nice, I didn't like that part about how unequal girls were and all. I know a girl that is really strong and mean. I got those stitches when I was with her." He said looking over to the older boy, who rose and eyebrow and shook his head.

They all went on doing their business, Lavi taught, Raine flung his Aian Nakkuru, and Tsuyosa gave an old woman directions to the Kage's tower. "In many societies, women played certain informal, but important, roles. They managed households and family finances, supervised the education of children, and influenced their husbands. Being in certain occupations or classes allowed women some respect or escape form male domination. Noblewomen played influential roles in most societies, often as cultural patrons, sometimes as political advisers to their husbands. Priestesses and nun often enjoyed high status as well as intellectual life, although their conduct was strictly regulated."

"In some African societies, women enjoyed a great deal of respect, and family tress were matrilinear, or traced through the mother, rather than patrilinear. In most societies, upper-class women lived easier lives but found themselves more constrained by religious and cultural restrictions on their behavior. Lower-class women, whose lives were much harder, were often less bound by those restrictions because the rules of "proper" behavior applied less to them. Societies that feared magic or witchery tended to blame women( especially elderly ones) disproportionately for such things." Raine stopped and looked back at Lavi.

"What like witches? Magic?" He said dropping his weapons to his side.

Lavi shrugged "Chakra is a lot like magic to people who don't understand it Raine." The small boy squinted and frowned. Slicing the air in front of him.

Raine flung a few punchs, mixing in some hammer fists and jabs. An excellent swift combo that cut the air into make noises. Lavi stopped speaking for a moment and watch this. Raine even tried to fling in a kick, which sort of ruined the routine but was a good attempt. Tsuyosa had finished with the lady at the door and was watching as well. "Okay that was a good one. Intermediate Taijutsu is all about mixing, and making combos. Also quicken your moves, and make the more powerful." pushed his hand up through his hair and stretched his arms out in front of him. "Try to do a few punches and stabs, that's what the Aian Nakkurru is for."

Raine nodded, "Got it." He planned out a small routine. Imagining a foe in front of hims. Quickly he set himself in his stance and rose his fists up the nakkuru pointing out like viper's fangs. He threw a jab straight out. And followed with a quickl swipe of the blade, He aimed further down with a harder punch and flung another jab. Raine back swiping with a hammer-fist and followed with a left hook, that would have cut anyone who wasn't already weeping on the floor. Raine stopped his combo hopping around a bit full of adrenaline. He looked back to Tsuyosa for more directions.

"Good, try and fit in a kick and a cross." Tsuyosa said, throwing a nice powerful one up in front of himself. Raine didn't like the sound of adding in a kick, but that didn't matter much. He started throwing a right kick to his chest height, it was nice and strong. He followed with a wound up left cross, that was followed by a right jab. And a quick side step, that has a stab down near his imaginary opponents neck. Raine seethed in air and he shot his arms and legs out. He managed a double kick without falling over and got a good high jump were he brought down his blades at the victim below.
