Kara sighed quietly and looked up at Toren. "But I am used to it. Ever since I turned ten it has been like that," she said absently.
"What happened?" Toren asked hesitantly. "That is, if you want to tell me, I would listen."
She laughed, shaking her head so that her curls bounced lightly. "Ah, Toren. You are a kind person. I've never had someone listen to me before," she admitted. "You listen to everyone's problems, don't you? But you don't have anyone to listen to you?"
He shook his head in protest. "It's not that," Toren replied, thinking of Lilith.
"Of course not. But if I tell you my scar story, you have to tell me yours," she told him. Toren only nodded. "It was my tenth birthday. I was taken from my bed in the middle of the night by three werewolves that believed I had information that could help win the war for their side. But I didn't have any information."
"The three of them held me captive for five days. And they took turns trying to get unexistant bits of news out of me. They let me go when they realized that no matter how many times I was whipped and lashed that I could not tell them anything," Kara said softly. "Now, tell me your story and I too will listen."
Toren sighed heavily and frowned. "Vampires aren't supposed to have scars," he muttered. "But my story is much like yours. Only I did have information. And they were able to pry enough from me in three days of captivity. Enough information to get my father killed."
Kara's eyes widened in realization. "Oh...Toren. I didn't realize...I'm so sorry..." Her voice trailed off and her eyes were filled with terror.
"It's fine, Kara."
She gave him a tentative smile. "Do you know what?" she asked as they walked down the spiral staircase. "I think you and I will be good friends."
"As do I, your highness," Toren said slowly.
"Don't use formalities with me, dear Toren. And I will play you a song. Would you like to hear something?" she asked, when she saw the beautiful violin sitting on the small table near the door. "Would that be alright?"

Toren sighed. "No, go right ahead. It is rare that anyone plays that instrument. It used to be mine," he said with a shrug. "You can play well?"
Kara went to the table and picked up the polished instrument with a small smile. "I like to think that I am a decent musician. My eldest brother taught me how to play the violin," she explained cheerfully. Music always made her feel better.
Toren crossed his arms and watched as she tucked the instrument under her chin, lifting the bow.
"I apologize if I sound terrible. I have not played for quite some time."
He waited as she drew the bow across the strings to play a few test notes at first. Then Toren leaned against the nearest wall to watch her. And then the song came from the violin and he was left speechless. It was like nothing he had ever heard before.
The melody was something that made his heart ache. It was a mournful song, filled with long, slow notes all pieced together to haunt the room. Even Kara's face, her eyes closed solemnly, was sorrowful. And when the song trailed off, she opened her eyes.
"Well, I'm done warming up. How about a happier song?" she asked him with a wide smile.
Toren blinked. "Just warming up?" he repeated with surprise.
Kara smiled even more and nodded. "Close your eyes and listen. Listen for the difference," she murmured.
He sighed and closed his eyes hesitantly. The song was already more detailed and busy as she started off. It was startling the contrast to the songs.
"You are amazing," Toren said when she finished playing her songs.
"I am not amazing," she protested.
((I apologize for not finding a slow song. Couldn't get it to load so I could listen to one first before I posted it up here.))

{[Right. Drama time. I'm bored. I'll let Mangiina know what i wrote.]} Turning around, Lilith stared at the dumbstruck prince. Walking up to him, she left a light, tender kiss on the side of his lips. "If you need me, i'll still be here, always." And with tears in her eyes, she walked away. Wandering towards the dining hall, she heard music from a room. The violin sounded beautiful. It had been ages since she'd touched it. She loved to play when she was alone. Leaning against the wall, Lilith thought about the kiss between her and Toren. Was it what she wanted? Was she only lusting after Jerome because he was unavailable? She couldn't deny that her and Toren had clicked the moment they met. Smiling, she touched her lips. Maybe it was best she was just support for Jerome, made sure that she was there for him. Taking a deep breath, she looked through the crack of the door, her bright blue eyes seeing Toren with the princess. Surprised at a slight pang of jealously, her hand leaning on the door pushed it; a creak echoing. Gasping, Lilith quickly turned to lean against the wall, blushing.

((Okie dokie))
Toren looked up after the second song ended and a sound came to his ears from nearby. He turned his attention back to the princess. "That is quite untrue," he told her. "You have talent, Kara. It has been a long time since I have heard such a skill with playing an instrument. So few in this castle bother touching my violin, though it is left here for any that wish to play, as you did."
She smiled and sighed. "If you say I can play well, I will belive so."
"I just play the violin because I love it," she replied humbly. Kara played a few more notes before she set the violin back on the table with a shake of her head.
Toren sighed as well and turned slightly.
"Lilith? Why are you hiding?" he called, recognizing her scent and the thoughts, though he didn't read her mind.

(( Yeah, even though the pic on the left is a neko....you know, it doesn't matter. ))
Tsuzuki had already gone and found himself a formal, white, oxford shirt with an attractive red tie, and black slacks. He had been standing down the hall waiting for Jerome to let him know when he was ready to go to dinner. He had saw Lilith go after him, but he was not seen by either of them, which was his goal, since protecting him didn't require him to be seen. When he over heard Lilith tell Jerome that she had kissed his brother. He paused, and looked away for a moment, before looking to Jerome as he responded to it. He could tell how Jerome really felt about this, though he was keeping it inside. Even though it had nothing to do with Tsuzuki, he still felt sad from all of this, he felt sad, for Jerome. He crossed his arms, as his heart dropped, and he turned his head and looked out the window, thinking, as he kept an ear on the two of them, and then Lilith left, and walked off. That's when Tsuzuki stepped out into view, and approached Jerome, "Prince Jerome....Are you ready to attend dinner?" He said this softly, worried about him now.

{[I'll try and post in the other RP before i go to work. Ew, work.]} Lilith was enjoying the music, and had started to think maybe the princess wasn't too bad, even though because of her she couldn't be with Jerome. The music had stopped, and she could hear muffled words, before her own name was mentioned. Blushing, she stepped round the doorway and looked into the room, a slight grin on her face. "Hey." She waved, turning her attention from Kara to Toren. Looking at the Prince for a few minutes, she walked over to him and flung her arms around his neck, hugging him as a few tears began to fall. Out came what she had told Jerome in an almost whisper so only Toren could hear, the whole lot, as she started to shake a little. "You deserved to know. I can't hide it from you because you trusted me before and i trust you. You actually care about me, and for a long time i haven't realised how much i care for you. And it's alot." Stepping back, still whispering, a slight smile was on her face as she stroked Toren's cheek. It was hard for her, but she'd made up her mind. Lilith would focus on Toren, as much as she still felt something for Jerome. " I don't care what your Mother says Toren. I like you, alot." And she gave him a quick, soft kiss, moving back to look him in the eyes, her own bright blue ones shimmering with left-over tears.

Toren blinked at Lilith with surprise when she threw her arms around his neck and struggled to keep his balance as she held onto him. He rested his arms around her waist and frowned unsurely.
Kara flushed and dropped her eyes to inspect the violin.
He was confused by her tears and listened to her as she spoke quietly.
Of course Toren wasn't mad at her at all, but he was honestly...a bit...jealous of her giving Jerome attention. Toren sighed and shook his head. "I'm glad that you feel like you can talk to me," he admitted. But he was still slightly upset with Jerome himself.
Toren reached forward to take her hands in his. "My mother will just have to put up with it, because I'm afraid I like you a lot, too," he murmured with a grin. He raised one hand to wipe her tears away.
Kara was still blushing and wiping at invisible dust on the violin's surface. Toren sighed yet again and then smiled warmly at Lilith.

Not able to help herself, Lilith blushed at Toren's smile. She knew he was upset inside, but she had to be honest. "I'm sorry for being so brutally honest. It's who i am. And it wouldn't be fair on you if i didn't tell you." Her blue eyes were a dark blue as she looked at Toren. Rubbing her cheek affectionately against his hand when he wiped her tears away, she closed her eyes, a smile on her face, opening them slowly to look at him, her eyes the same colour as her gown. "You think it's time we escort Kara to dinner? I think she feels out of place." And giggling softly, she looked at the blonde-haired girl pretending to dust the spotless instrument. "I heard you play, it was lovely. I thought i might have been the only one to touch that lovely violin." And looking back at Toren, she grinned. "Come, i shall escort Kara and yourself to dinner. I think your brother will meet us there with Tsuzuki." And giving him a discrete wink, she lent up to whisper in the Prince's ear. "Glad you're seated next to me now?"

((Just so you know, I'll be out of town for quite a while. I'm not sure when I can get back on a computer. Plus, my parents are divorced and I'll be staying with my dad, who doesn't let me use the internet. So I will reply as soon as I can!))
With a wide grin, he nodded. "I agree. Are you hungry?" he asked Kara curiously.
Kara looked up from the violin bashfully and rested it back down on the table. "Sure," she said slowly. Kara blushed when Lilith complimented her. "Thanks. I appreciate it," Kara told Lilith.
Toren offered Lilith his arm and stood up perfecly straight. "I sure am," he said quietly so only she could hear. "Shall we go?"

{[Thats ok luvvie! I'm working a fair bit the next few weeks and i've got insurance stuff to sort out. I'm going to be going insane with the net for almost all of August; parents are going overseas ;D]} Lilith grinned and curtsied at Kara. She had wanted to hate the human so much, because she figured all humans were the same. But this human Princess was really kind, and nice. She couldn't help but to start to like Kara. "Maybe we could both play sometime?" She offered, clasping her hands in front of her, resting gently on the silkiness of her gown. Grinning at Toren, she took his arm and blushed, her hand resting lightly on his. She was shorter than he; only just reaching his chin, and that was with high-heels on. Her eyes were still the same pale lavender as her gown, her slightly wavy black hair framing her face. "Did you want to escort two lovely ladies to the dining hall?" And Lilith giggled, looking at Kara. "You'll finally get to meet Prince Jerome."

He let his hand touch the corner of his soft lips. He couldn't believe what had just happened. Of course Jerome had similar feelings for Lilith.. He would of preferred being married to her, but Margarette was pretty set in her ways. He frowned. Women could be so confusing, and he hated it. But at the same time he loved the cryptic part of everything. Jerome nodded to Tsuzuki, and they headed to dinner. He was still slightly confused by her actions, but none the less decided to hide everything for the time being.
"I wonder why I never saw it before.." Jerome thought quietly as they made their way into the dining hall. There were guards mixed on either side. Jerome let his face mold into a cold stare, as he took his seat. Jerome rested his hands in his lap. He wanted to search for Lilith. In those few seconds her lips almost perfectly on his, Jerome couldn't get the image out of his head. He had forgotten where Lilith would be seated. If Jerome was correct it was on the other side of the table. But he couldn't be to sure.

((I'm back! Yay!))
Toren smiled slightly and watched Kara nod slowly. He took a moment to read her thoughts and discover that the poor princess was terrified, though it didn't show on her pretty face at all. Hiding a sad frown, he offered the two women his arms. Kara, of course, his right arm, seeing as she was royalty, and Lilith his left.
Kara stayed silent as she took his arm, making sure that she touched him very little. He wasn't offended; he knew that she was just anxious.
"Don't worry. Jerome isn't rude often. It is rare that he shows his dislike--if any--towards females. He won't do anything he shouldn't," Toren assured her.

Lilith stayed quiet while they walked to the dining hall. It was just on 7. Perfect. If everyone was there, it would seem like a grand entrance for the Princess. Looking at the princess, Lilith's face softened. She felt sad for the nervous girl. Being alone in a strange new place, it wasn't nice. And she knew that first hand. Flicking a hand through her hair, a shower of sparks came out, a few flying like fireflies to light the remaining candles in the halls. The others grouping together to form tiny fire butterflies to light the candelabras hanging from the ceiling. It was a rather pretty show, the pyromancer vampiress not showing any sign of care about it on her face. Reaching the dining hall, Lilith slowly un-linked her arm from Toren, stepping in front to reach out for the door. Turning around, a soft smile passed her full lips, bright blue orbs looking at the two, her soft Romanian accent light to the ears. "Are you ready Princess?"
