Luthor smiled. "Excellent, Terminator. From my studies, as well as Mockingbird's observations," Lex lied, "This robot has a weapon attached to his right forearm, which fires an energy-based ranged attack. I have a magnetic band that will temporarily short his firing capabilities, and allow you easy capture; his hand-to-hand capabilities appear to be less than average. As he is not from our Universe, neither Mockingbird or myself have been able to figure out the robot's name, if he has one."

"I don't see that it matters," Deathstroke replied irritably. He was still clearly annoyed; the reason why was fairly easy to guess, as he was pointedly NOT looking at the Joker.

Gossamer kept to the wall, eyes closed and half listening to what was going on. After a few long moments, she opened her eyes and glanced up at the others. The annoyed look in her eyes was gone, replaced with what could be exhaustion. She stood up straight and began fixing her hair back into it's tail a bit better. She'd taken enough hits, she was surprised it was still in it.

As the topic of conversation wasn't directed at himself, the Joker had two options. He could either MAKE himself the topic of conversation, or he could be discreet. He took a look at Gossamer, and saw that the look he'd gotten earlier was gone, and her exhausted appearance was back. Well, it looked like being the center of attention was going to have to wait for a moment. The Ace of Knaves walked next to Gossamer, and asked, "So, who's in the driver's seat?" Having had past dealings with Two-Face when he was Harvey Dent, Two-Face, and Harvey Dent with Two-Face in control, he was able to figure out what had happened. What he didn't know was why; Two-Face's Multiple Personality Disorder usually ended whenever his face was restored, although there was no telling which side would be in control when that happened. Gossamer, however, had no such scarring or other signs of a similar trauma, so what happened with her is what the clown wanted to know.

Gossamer glanced up at Joker as he approached her, then looked slightly surprised when he asked her the question. She glanced away a moment, and it was hard to tell if she was ashamed or embarassed. It was going to come up soon anyway. At least he didn't find out with Jade.
"Provided I don't get K.O.ed in the next five minutes, I am." she replied, glancing back up at him when she finished fixing her hair.

"I'm going to assume that this is what you were trying to hide from me," the Joker said to Gossamer. "So? You gonna fill me in on what happened?"
"I suppose you're right," Lex replied to Deathstroke as he reached into a drawer, and pulled out a small metal band. "Here, this is that band I was telling you about. Take it."

"Yes..." Gossamer replied with a small sigh. "My last job, the one I only got paid half for...I honestly only did about half of what I was supposed to. I got a bit...sidetracked with an alien. Or demon. I'm still not sure which. I made a deal with him, and he tried to posess me. I'd already secretly started a spell to absorb him without the nice little side effects of being posessed, and it was actually working. Until an idiot..." she started, then winced slightly as a sharp buzzing erupted in the back of her head. "...my friend apparently thought I was in trouble and tried to jump in on a very delicate spell. The result of which ended with rather large explosion, a destroyed building, and thanks to another spell, only two decentigrated corpse. I made it out alive, but with two other people taking residence in my head."

"Jade has a bit of a temper." she replied. "If I have them tuned out so they can't actually talk to me, I get a bit of a buzzing in the back of my head when they want my attention."

"It's not that easy. They'd know what I was going to do and most likely try to stop me, it's also too risky since they're in my head. Should one of them try to do something, I could very well erase myself. Then one of them would have my body." she replied. "Easiest thing would be to find a way to get them into bodies of their own. Which unfortunately takes more than just a spell."

Gossamer smirked slightly. "Yes, that would be part of it. Extra bodies, the right spell, the right time, and a few little relics that are a bit hard to come by. Strangely, extracting things are much harder to accomplish than absorbing things. It would be much easier if I was on a sorcerer supreme level..."
