Rey thought about the options for a brief moment. - I say we go back, tell the elves where we're headed, then check it out. That way, if we get into some trouble, they know where to find us. Let's go. - He said, turning around to head in the opposite direction.

Kuroshi of the elves looked at the young elf. Something about the way the others had somewhat avoided him made him curious of his role in this.
"Did I do all of that?" he asked solemnly.

"To tell you the truth, I don't know what you did. I just know of darkness for the last...how long was it?" Kitrine wondered to herself vaguely, sipping some tea. This was good tea.

Just then, Duna burst through a bush, his hair wildly askew and blood on his muzzle.
As he landed, he winced with pain, favoring his left front leg, and began to wash himself while shivering a little.
His eyes opened and they were pure jade, his pupils down to slits.
"It's gone...." he growled, "For now..."
He convulsed slightly, and then passed out on his side.

Rey and Lili were close to camp when this happened, and Rey hurried when he saw it. - Lili, it's Duna, he just fell! I think he's wounded! - He said, running towards the now collapsed feline. - What the hell happened? - He wondered.

Lili ran up to Duna and gasped.
"How could...!?" She tried to focus. I have to get him inside. Wind. Let's summon the wind to get him inside. she thought.
Wind, carry Duna of the Cats on a gentle wind into the hut so that he may recover. Lili chanted. The wind did so.
Lili turned to Rey.
"I don't know what that smoke is, or what did this to Duna, but now I have a creeping feeling that we have to find out what's going on."
She turned to Raleigh.
"Raleigh, I can feel that you have been developing power to control wind." Lili produced a small, lavender-colored stone charm out of no where and strung it into a necklace. "Here. This will give you greater control of the wind. I need you to guard this place and keep Duna safe."
She turned to Kuro.
"We need you to heal Duna while we go."
She turned to Rey once more.
"Are you ready for whatever we might be fighting?"

Rey was surprised to see Lili lead and give instructions. It was new to him, but it made him feel like she was no longer a frivolous child, something that cheered him up. - Sure, let's go. I'm itching for some action, since last fight I didn't get any. - He said, raising his fist.

"Alright then!" Lili said confidently. "I'll take to air, and you to earth. I'll meet you there." With that, she turned to her dragon form and disappeared into the air.

Kitrine accepted the beautiful jewel and put it on under her clothing. It was incredibly gorgeous and in her favorite color. She had a few dresses at home she could accessorize it with...god. She just sounded SO MUCH like a girl just then. She felt like punching herself before she remembered such a thing would not be productive to the team. She did a few tests, realizing the wind came to her more readily than it did before. Maybe it was going to be even more powerful. This was going to be fun.

Kuro was still a bit shocked at the way the two semi-dragons could just disappear like that, but he regained his senses as he watched the young elf experimenting with her new powers. He was still puzzled about the whole shadowlinge. Shadowlinge, he thought, where did that word come from?
He went on to heal Duna, carefully observing his wounds.

Lili reappeared from the air about a mile from the camp, as the air became thick and smoky. She turned to her elf form and coughed heavily. "This..." she gasped, "...isn't...right..." She looked around, hoping that Rey would be there soon, and that he would be less affected by this smoke.

Rey ran as fast as he could, so much so he became one with the earth and was deep underground. As he re-surfaced, he saw Chiku coughing, and he jumped out to reach her, then pulled her by the hand to make her crouch low. - the smoke won't get to you as much if you stay low. - Said Rey, tranforming further into his halfling form, and staying low on all fours. - This isn't right, what happened here? I'm sorry I didn't get here any sooner, I got a little lost... - He said, in an apologetic manner

Lili nodded. "Yeah, smoke shouldn't affect the air like this. There's something in this smoke. I think it might be caused by the thing that hurt Duna."
