Asura's head began to hurt worst, being geassed by both geasses had effected his mind. he didn't know what he wanted. His mind and alligences were torn. He backed away from Panic and the approching Black Knights, they smiled when they saw him. "Stay back." he said coolly adressing both.

"Asura, remember what we fight for." Said one of the Black Knights

"Do I?" he yelled "How do I now that everything I've ever believed wasn't just put into my mind!" he looked at both again "Just leave me alone." he walked to the entrance of the ship and opened it, then stepped off the ledge and after angling himself landed on the shoulder of a Akatski, he tapped the cockpit and the pilot opened. "Take me down to the base!"

"Of course Asura!" he said surpirsed to see him

-------------------------------------

"Sir, has anyone heard from Asura?" he asked opening another com-link "I'm thinking of cutting his time short due to present circomstances." he said in a serious tone not really asking but telling, Showing his leading spirit. It was the first time he was this serious about something.

Panic was looking around no longer calm. He was scrambling to put together pieces. For the first time in a long while Ahren wasn't winning. It tasted bitter in his mouth. Asura was going insane at least. That was good. Right now escape was first priority. He ran with his brothers to the Damnation thinking ahead. "Damnit. They must have us pinned. There's no other reason we would be here alive for so long." he thought sprinting.

The Icor was under siege. The Nephilim on board had complete faith in Panic. It was assured that he would save them. They just needed to have faith...

Panic remembered something to his relief. "Icor. Calling the Icor. Lose the main hatch, and blow it up!!!" he yelled as he ordered the Damnation to start crashing down the mountain. The engines weren't on for more than 5 minutes at a time.

The order came in. The Nephilim saw the knightmares had entered the main hatches. This was perfect for Panic's commands. They processed the order and the hatches were ejected along with the knightmares. Hadron cannon turrets aimed for the ejected pieces of the ship destroying major pieces.

Panic felt relieved. As the Damnation crashed he laughed and ordered escape plan 58. Chaff spewed from exhaust ports. It hid them absolutely. The wind currents picked up and moved to the Icor's now vacant hatches.

Panic looked at his handy work. "This will do for now..." he trailed off calculating his next move.

((Warning EXTREMLY long post.))

Before Leon got an answer, someone patched through a com-link.

"Leon, its Asura. Meet me at the base of the mountain. We need to talk."

Asura cut the link before he answered. Leon touched down and got out of his Knightmare and walked over to Asura. "Asura, what did you wanna talk about?" he said wondering what was going on.

"How much do you actually know about me?" said Asura expressionlessly "Nothing right? Well take a seat." he said sitting down against a tree. Leon did as he said. " I was born April 13 2024, My father was Ashton Sigfried, Owner of Sigfried's Traders, the multi-million dollar organization, a Britannian. My mother was Uzuki Mamoshi, a Japanese woman. On my tenth birthday, my father murder my mother....and kicked me out into the streets a week latter he married a Britannian woman with a full blooded Britannian son. Five years later I confronted him, he told me his reason for what he did was because 'He got tired of waking up to a dirty japanese wife and a filithy half-breed son.' I killed him and his new family that day. I took my mother's name and my hate for Britannia was born. I skipped many parts that weren't important, but that is my past Leon"

Leon stared wide eyed at Asura "What are you saying Asura?" he said now glaring at him "Choose your next words wisely

"Leon you could say we're friends right? we understand each other. we're equals, and at the same time we are completely different." he smiled slightly "I'm a spy for the Black Knights...but I can't get any info so I'm abandoning the mission."

"Asura, we were friends." he said coolly "Don't ask me to help you, I wont be caught helping a traitor. The best I could do is maybe try and get you life in prison but I don't have that kind of-"

Asura stood up and looked Leon in the eye. "I'm not asking for help, just a small favor." He took off his trench coat and layed it over a dead Black Knight that had his Knightmare shot down, but managed to crawl out of it. He took out his pistol and unloaded a clip into the coat and the body, Now that it was soaked in blood and full of bullet holes he handed it to Leon. "Show this to Eternal, say when you came to meet me I was bleeding out from getting...well shot many times. And if there's any Black Knights held captive, tell them this....The lotust blooms twice in the mountains....They might know what it means. I ask you to do this not as a commrade, but a friend."

Leon looked to the coat and back to Asura "If I do this....The next time we meet I will kill you." he said dead serious "After this day, we'll be foes. are you sure this is what you want to do?" he asked taking the coat

Asura smiled "Next time we fight it'll be for keeps Leon. And the way you are talking your sounding more and more like me, there might be hope for you yet. Also Leon, if you meet a Black Knight named Idrial Tomonari, tell her I'm still alive, and that I'll find her. Also if you could, say I died saving you from a Black Knight....I can't let them know I was a spy yet." he turned and ran off into the wilderness of the mountains.

"Damn it Asura" Leon said making his way back to his KMF, he climbed in the cockpit and opened a com-link with Eternal. " Sir, I'm making my way back to the Nightingale, something came up, and if I could I'd like to call a meeting."
PostPosted: Sun Jun 14, 2009 1:53 pm

"Negative Ri," replied Latune. "Please rendezvous with the escort vessels. Assist them as needed. If there's anything else, please wait until the mission has been completed."

The three VSD knightmares landed in the Nightingale's hanger, and powered down, waiting for the next order.

---

The Mark 00 had barely managed to lodge itself a foothold on the Icor's side with its harkens and edge rapiers. It hadn't picked one of the hatch sections, thus avoiding the whole mess with them.

The twins noticed the Damnation's movements, but didn't react to it. Instead, they doubled back to the Ascendant, keeping an eye on the Icor as they did so.

The Black Valyrie and Valiant had picked a part away from the hatches, since it was the most predictable assault vector. Both knightmares had managed to pierce a small part of the hull. The Black Valkyrie switched to its Valkyrie Sword, and the two sisters moved forward towards the back of the Icor, slashing the hull, using the pierced parts of the hull as their starting point, making it all the easier to do so.

"Engines now," said Erina. The Gunfalken and the Snipelink began aiming towards the engine section of the Icor, having wrapped up the other defenses short of the Hadron Cannons. The latter being obviously too difficult to take out without having disabled the generators.

The Ascendant targeted the Damnation and fired both its Hadron Cannon Arrays in spread fashion to cover a wider area at the expense of inflicting greater damage to the enemy.

---

The escort vessels had spread out across the escape vectors, deploying their mass produced Rapier R and Vincents, forming a more so loose defensive net. They would open fire on anything that came their way, regardless of accuracy or opponent.

"What ever" he said coolly as he went to to asists the escorts Should have figured, I'm exspendable to them. They don't need me. he took a defensive position as he unsheathed his MVS.

----------------

Asura entered his 'domain' which was a cave with a water fall in it. He went to a hole in the side of the wall and got out some of his supplies, only a few people knew about this place. He put on a spare trench coat he had. "Damn, I'm out of instant ramen." he said going through a crate of intsant food. "I hope some of the others from the base are alright."

Panic was stuck in a stalemate. A final hatch fell from the sky towards the chaff from the damaged and crashing Damnation. As it fell to the last discernible location of the airship they both vanished leaving the Icor in full view, showing everyone that this ship was legitimately crashing.

Panic's image appeared on every screen of every channel on any side. He was holding what everyone had learned to hate with him as well as Zero. A single, scepter like button. " People of Britannia and the Order of the Black Knights! I suggest a temporary cease fire! Failure to accept such terms leads to mutual devastation on every side, including mine. You see every course of action is regrettable now." he said on the screens.

"Explosives are my bargaining tool. On the Icor and the Black Knight's base. Britannian, Black Knight, Nephilim and all new comers would all suffer from this spectacular display. I ask that they leave the Icor now and allow a safe retreat. That is my single stipulation for the ransom of lives in my hands. " he said his two geass powered eyes shining irresistibly through the screen.

It burrowed into every possible viewers soul to at least control anyone for a short amount of time. Dreads power supported it making it near impossible to not submit to an already rational decision.

("We regret to inform you" that Aside from NoN Geasses, All others do not work through electronics. And NoN Geass only work when it's through specialized equipment and is thus limited in that regard.)

The same visible view of the Icor also revealed the gapping hole made by the Mark 00 and the damage done by the Black Valkyrie and Valiant. The latter two had cleared the field of vision, whereas the Mark 00 had began cutting its way through the Icor's inside. The Gunfalken, Snipelink, and Valiant all opened fire on the Icor , picking out the damaged upper hull as their targets.

Erina and Esther both smiled at the laughable attempt by Panic to force a ceasefire. After all, only the heavily armored knightmares had engaged in combat, while the not as heavily armored ones were far enough to avoid being damaged by an explosive's radius.

"A poor warmonger eh," noted Lance. The fact Panic was resorting to that was plain humorous. To actually destroy one's own ships and also destroy another side's base would require a good amount of resources. Neither of which would come cheaply through the use of explosives.

"Blow the other ship," ordered Erina. Playing the warmonger of course, would require much special attention to how things were done, built, and carried out. Which in part included having a effective, not bare minimum, security. That of course, contributed to the EF's build up from behind the scenes. After all, if one goes to war with the world, one must know what one's doing.

The Ascendant fired again, this time only one of the two Hadron Cannon Arrays. The EF had literally failed to receive the visual or the audio. They had only seen a text variation of the message. The Mk. Lance, Mk. Gun, and Black Valkyrie had formed up in a triangular formation with the latter in the middle leading them, and headed for the Damnation, to make sure everyone in it was dead.

---

"It's important," replied Latune, noting Leon's tone. "Would you trust the regular army or those from there to actually get things done correctly?"

"Ignore them. We're safe enough," replied Eternal to a direct communication from the command deck in question if they should or shouldn't heed Panic's words. "If the Black Knights lose their base that's in our favor. Same if the EF takes damage, which I doubt since they made a wreck of the situtation in Europe, Africa, and the Middle Eastern areas."

Rowena would be lying if she said she understood what exactly happened back there. Why she was pulled back into the shuttle, why they left as soon as they arrived at the base. Granted, they didn't have much of a plan, but it would have worked... And the events that followed happened so quickly that Rowena could only go along with them.

After they docked back in the Nightingale, Rowena found herself suddenly alone after the other occupants of the shuttle scrambled to their positions in their respective frames, and she was acutely reminded of how small her abilities counted for. She might be a princess, and she held respect and commanded people, but her fighting ability was next to nil especially since she had never really gotten battle experience. With as much dignity as she could muster, the princess made her way back to the command center, not bothering to stop by her room to change back into her gowns.

"That was fast," she said after the door slid open and before she stepped through the threshold of the command center. "Rather promising for my first field experience." She had to maintain the semblance of being composed here, not demand what had happened that they had to suddenly abort the mission. That could wait later. Now... Now the battle was still being fought.

Leon kept his defensive stance and opened a com-link to the command center. "There doesn't seem to be much activity out here now." he said glancing quickly to Asura's coat at his feet. "Can I return now? I have some news that most of you wont care about.....but it should be said anyways."

Lucian sat in his apartment, and began making out a Guide for class for the next following days. he took a long drag from his cig., then put it out in the ash tray beside his papers, he checked over his role, and smiled, as he ran the name through his head again. Rowena Vanelli, better known as Rowena fil Britannia, if my sources are correct that is....this job is getting interesting....oh well hope she's a reasonable student either way he smiled again, Well this is better than being out on the field I guess.

Panic regretted this. The Icor was instrumental to his victory in Razial. But they didn't listen. He pressed the button. He stared as the mountain rumbled. Earlier when he had the Rephilim drill into the mountain they found a large deposit of sakuradite in the center which they drilled from. Panic had ordered the drilling deeper in the infrastructure of the mountain to maximize the effect. Tunnels led inside the base that were the release valves for the pressure in the mountain as they where ordered to clog the entry tunnels with a cave in. Panic also looked at the Icor. Easily replaceable because its abilities weren't unique to it. He had ordered a simple command to them. Charge. The Icor spun around allowing its self to be disabled. The knightmares on the inside did damage A lot but the Icor had a concealed weapon. The room where all the Sakuradite draining attachments went with a small bomb and all of the attachments full. They both simultaneously exploded. The mountain rumbles as fire spread throughout the base in spectacular fashion. The actual explosion would enter soon enough. As for the Icor... He looked over just in time to see the large airship's flank explode in radiance. It glowed purple as the airship and used the force to propel itself into the mass of EF and Britannian ships.
-----

The Damnation was nowhere to be seen. The amount of chaff it expelled was in no way enough to conceal its entire self past its flank. It had departed though multiple escape measures. It hugged the mountain and submerged under the guise of meeting up with the Icor through chaff cover maneuvered by wind currents. The cloaking Jericos were fully active allowing the Damnation to depart undetected.
-----

Panic, Fear and Dread all were in knightmares. Panic in the Paladin, Fear in his Crossfire Rephilim, and Dread in his Sternguard Goliath. They went to intercept the incoming knightmares. Before Panic had commanded Fear to prevent all casualties including himself. They deployed chaff out of an attachment out of the Sternguard and the Paladin and Crossfire charged through the center and came out topside, leaving traps in the chaff. Fear charged at the Mark 00 with a swift slash ready for a parry or a hit.

(And I thought it was almost over. Hm... and with those two explosions... there goes the chaff cover.)

The sole EF air cruiser, the Ascendant, was the close of the two other air cruisers. It was also the faster one, boosting itself out of the Icor's path. The Nightingale was the other, and its command deck was a storm of commands and orders at assessing the situtation.

---

"All Hadron Cannons, focus fire on a single location," ordered Aldan. He gave only a sight notice to the princess's presence through a quick nod.

"Hard to port, double our altitude." Kinata took out her own com-link and connected to Eternal as to cut down on the tasks given to the crew. "The Nephilim was it? Seem to want everyone dead more than the EF."

---

"I see," replied Eternal, composing himself. He blinked. "It's a feint, a rather good one. Either way they'll escape, but... Have the escorts open fire, now."

---

"Right!" Kinata closed the com-link and relayed the orders, prompting the escort vessels and their deployed knightmares on the outskirts of the battlefield to begin opening fire, even if there wasn't anything visible to them. "Now! Fire the Array!" The Hadron Cannon Array promptly let loose at upon the Icor, targeting a single point as to shatter it before it could close distance, despite the fact the Nightingale had moved out of the proximity of it's path, allowing it to avoid major damage if it were to explode, but not escape unharmed if it did.

"Ri, eliminate the terrorists that call themselves members of the EU," said Aldan, having concluded that the terrorists that had attacked the Chinese Federation in the past were the same as the ones they were facing now.

---

"Arkice, launching!" Actually, it was out of the Nightingale before he had finished stating it. Let's finish them off as a favor. I doubt waramongers like owing favors. He chuckled at the thought as the Arch Zeypher and Shrike Mk II both formed up in a V formation with him as the lead. "Let's give those terrorists a beating shall we, girls?"

The Shrike Mk II opened fire with its Hadron Blasters and Hadron Cannons, all aimed at the Sternguard Goliath. The Arch Zypher and Arkice backed it up with a sync'd VARIS HT barrage combo'd with a missile barrage aimed at the Sternguard Goliath, completely targeted manually with targeting input from Latune.

---

"Damnit!" Esther ejected both arms, keeping the elbow up though) and covered the front of the Mark 00 with both wings, activating the Blaze Luminous and Radiation Wave Shields simultaneously, reducing the damage it took, leaving it at 60% damage. She pulled the Mark 00 back towards the coast, letting gravity help her gain distance. The shields were intact shield, but failing, and the wings weren't in very good shape, but nevertheless, six of the eight harkens were still operational, and there were only six left after the arms where ejected.

The EF forces scattered in formation. The Black Valkyrie and the Valiant as one pair, the Mk. Gun and Mk. Lance forming the second, and the Gunfalken and Snipelink forming the third. Erina gave the orders quickly and restrained her tone, "Mk. Gun, Mk.Lance, cover the Mark 00. Everyone else, take those out. Ascendant, prep version 2." So much for a glorious final mission for that old model.

"Roger!" replied the twins in unison. The Mk. Gun promptly opened fire on the Crossfire Rephilim with its CAD SR in long range mode, promptly taking advantage of both it's semi-automatic capabilities and piercing properties. The Mk. Lance backed it up with a series of shots from its Hadron Blasters.

"Thanks," said Esther. She withdrew to let the twins deal with the Crossfire Rephilim. Version 2 right? Well at least Version 1 served until the end. Better to save what I can than lose it completely.

The Black Valkyrie and Valiant moved to intercept the Paladin, waiting for it to make the first move. The Gunfalken and Snipelink took to the rear and waited with the two. They positioned themselves behind them while giving a good deal of room for evasion, defense, offensive, and counter assaults.

---

The Ascendant fired its other Hadron Cannon Array directly for the traps, also launching a spread of Radiation Wave missiles at the Crossfire Rephilim. The hanger bay began unraveling the said knightmare and its final checkups, so when its pilot arrived, it would be operational on the spot.

(The escort vessels and knightmares aren't in the direct battlefield, and they're just shooting at random so... horrid accuracy! Just like typical AI grunts.)

"Tch... Do you see this Camellia?" Raven mumbled. "The flies got some stingers. Well..." her hand twitched. "We do not have too much time, but enough to... to...!!!"

The Camellia knew what her mother wanted to do. The red bud of the flower of evil started to blossom. A rushing sound was heard from the back of the Camellia's position. "What the hell is that?" Raven yelled looking back.

"AAAAAHHH!!!!" a scream escaped from the distant hall way. "Watch out!!" Katsuo's Knightmare speed forward. He saw the Camellia ahead and screamed more. "Wh-what are you doing here?" he opened a comm to the red Knightmare.

The Camellia stood it's ground and reached forward to stop the Mentha from crashing forward. The right hand twitched as it reached for the chest to stop. "I should be asking the same thing, Katsuo. Although I'm glad I ran into you my dear red flower."

"Gah! How many times do I have to tell you? Don't call me your flower." he retorted angrily. "Anyway, we have a problem."

"Tch... you don't need to tell me. The flies have become restless. At this rate they want to destroy the base. At least... that's what I would've done." she smiled.

"Yeah.... of course you would know something like that. I guess we need to relocate a new resident." he sighed. "I hear that the Britannian forces are having some trouble as well. Even our own forces are being converted. It's definitely who has the bigger guns war over territory. It's either we lose and relocate or find a way to temporarily assist the Britannian forces, as bad as that sounds."

"You think I have a problem with that?" Raven asked, taking a moment to think. "I've already switched sides in my previous life. Only Shido can command such an action. We will follow that decision to the end to save our base. I need your assistance since my original plan here backfired to pathetic heroism from the other troops. How unsightly."

"Got it. We should send a signal to the Nightwalker. He'll be overjoyed with the brainstorming." he mumbled. "You should probably do it. He's not in the mood to talk to me after that phone call." he laughed.

Shido slammed the control system with his right hand and slowly retrieved it to his chin. "This is getting too chaotic. Nothing is going according to plan." he analyzed the forces. A blinking signal attracted his sight. "Yes?"

After a brief explanation from his right hand lady. "Ok... seeing that the situation of the mines, the betraying troops, and the moving EU forces... we have no choice." he sighed.

Shido sat up with a determined expression. "We must join forces with the current Britannian forces... and protect our base from the EU!! Kill anyone in the way who has betrayed our trust. Do not doubt your actions as it is for the cause that we had from the beginning to protect what we fight for!!" he commanded, connecting to both his soldiers. "Do not let your guard down. I will arrange an audience."

"Yes!"

"Our lord!!"

"That's the reaction I expected." he smiled. He sent a distress signal to the knightmares he fought not too long ago. He prepared a comm link and kept his dark blue mask to his face. "Even though we have desperately made this decision, I do not want to reveal my face to anyone other than my squad."

"That's understandable," replied Latune. She had had the mechanics and technitions alter the communications system to not display themselves to those who piloted knightmares not belonging specifically to the VSD. Leon's wasn't regarded as one. She sent a request for a ceasefire to the EF, before informing Eternal.

The only problem with that was they only got a text response and no image or voice. The text response was to both Shido and Eternal. The text simply said. [If you will not leave your fight in a stalemate, you both with be next.] The EF's side was incapable of receiving a visual due to the use of its text format.

"I see... I'll listen to what you have to say," said Eternal. He smiled as he noticed that the request to the EF that Latune had sent had went through. "So what can I help you with."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 18, 2009 10:17 pm

Shido pulled the screen to the front as he made his masked face available for his audience to see. His dark blue visor covered his eyes with silver hair flowing over the material. Only his lower face and his shoulders were seen.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Senku Shido, leader of the Ace Squadron of the Black Knights." he politely bowed to his screen. "I have called under the circumstances of the current situation. Due to the unexpected intruder of another faction joining the fight, my squadron found it rather unpleasant that our forces are being converted to their side. Their weaknesses were revealed, making it hard for us to counterattack. I find it rather unfortunate that our troops have been capture in such an unsightly manner. Our emotion run faction is rather embarrassing to say the least." he paused for a moment.

The little message sent out to him was finally received. This must be something to push our sincerity. I don't blame them for it. Fine... I don't want to make any hostile remarks. I just hope those two won't stick out too much. he thought as he continued.

"Accordingly, my squad suggested that we must join temporarily with your current knightmares. A menace such as this is very inappropriate for both our sides. I find no benefits other than your forces taking the Sakuradite mines from the advantage. For just one moment in time shall the Black Knights Ace Squadron ask the Britannians their assistance to eradicate this monstrosity. My group is not doing this for our leaders. We are doing this out of spite of how incompetent our faction can be.

"I plead for this proposal to blossom into cooperation."

............................

The Camellia and the Mentha investigated what was left of the base, trying to see if there were survivors or any information that might be floating around.

"You heard Shido. We must eliminate that guy's forces who just blew this place to hell." she said, talking to Katsuo as she lead the way.

"Yeah, of course I know. I was there when he said that." he replied, annoyed that he was always being picked on by this.... woman. "I'll take care of your back. Never know when we could miss one. But I have a question. What do we do if we find someone?"

Raven smirked. "Whoever is found we'll interrogate. If they don't know what to answer... just shoot them."

"You're not really helping the situation doing that... we need to see if there's anything left out here." he mumbled, not surprised by the response.

"I understand. We will assist, and allow for a safe withdraw for your remaining forces. However, for future reference, if those terrorists appear again, will you join us in removing them? Using the EF to our advantage is better than wasting our own troops for times they aren't there.

[They pose a threat with their unrestrained destruction. Even we do not go that far.] The text scrolled out fluidly in response to both Shido and Eternal's words.

"A enemy of my enemy is my friend," quoted Latune. "Or at least that's how it goes... I think."

He smiled and shook his head at Latune's comment."So what is your answer?" asked Eternal.
