Rylia looked up at the constellation as she took one of the treats she put into the napkin. She still didn't know what it was, but was happy she took some. She wanted to smile even more when she ate the piece and seemed to smile, responding in a positive way. But something was wrong. It wasn't the same. Like the smiles beforehand. No. It was different and didn't make her feel good. In fact, she felt bad. Maybe she had done something wrong? What if Serenity didn't like the yummy treats and only took it to not make her feel sad.
She frowned at this, bringing the napkin down towards her chest and staring down at them. She didn't know what it was, but now she felt bad. Like when the other twilef she use to live with said things about her 'colors'. Her eyes were different too, but she didn't think she was a bad person. Was she? Frowning more, Rylia backed away and turned around to the table, placing the napkin with the 2 rubies left onto it. Turning around once more to Serenity, she bowed her head and walked away down the hallway until she came to the end of it, sitting down on the floor against the wall, staring down at the floor.

Needless to say, the dark Twilif felt very awkward as the boy cleaned and dressed his wound. He wasn't anywhere close to being comfortable with others touching him, but he'd already accepted his help, and so had to suppress the urge to flinch whenever the rag touched his knee. Not that it really made any difference whether it was properly taken care of or not, at this point - he was riddled with scars. Still, he lifted his gaze to peer into the boy's, hoping he successfully expressed his silent gratitude.
"Ah," he started with surprise, his eyebrows lifting at the unveiling of what had been inside the basket. He'd wondered about that, merely thought it was cleaning supplies, dismissed it; he brought him food? The smell reminded him of his empty stomach, and that, in turn, reminded him of what a fool he was for stowing away in a vegetable garden without eating one thing.
Slowly stretching his knee out, Kliment closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them down at the bowl.
"You did this for me. Thank you," he whispered, eyes low. "That is kinder than you had to be."

Cuire grinned and blushed lightly, holding out the bread. "I'm not being too kind.. You're in my garden.. And I want to take care of everything here! And that means you too!" He giggled and sat beside Kilment, right beside him, and thought for a moment.
"Um.. would you like to spend the night here? I'd love to sleep, knowing that you're still safe.. Um.. That is.. Only if you want.."

Passhon smiled as he saw Noel fall asleep. He gently pryed the cup from the constellations hands and placed it on the table, then made sure he was bundled up. He wrapped the boy's fluffy trailing tail around the pillow and cushed it up so he was in a fluffy pillow nest.
"I will take care of the little things for now, dear master Noel." Passhon nodded toward him and took his pot to be washed.

Noel sighed contently as he was wrapped up in a warm embrace, the one of a blanket, and snuggled further into the cushion... Maybe.. It would be a good idea to nap, if only for a little while.. He could trust that Passhon would take care of everything that needed to be done..

To that, he scoffed lightly, taking the bread in hand. "Is that so?" he asked, taking a large bite. Between chews, he added, "You hardly know me."
It certainly was strange. For all the kid knew, he could have been some sort of crazed murderer, or he could have been the kind of person to stage a scene and exploit another. He'd seen it happen too many times to really be able to trust strangers; honesty seemed, nowadays, to be little better than a thin, plastic mask.
Still, he was already displaying an unnatural amount of trust by eating the food so easily. His mind must not have been working as quickly... yes, that was it.
Alright, so he was a hypocrite. Shrugging a shoulder, he lifted the bread to take another bite, pausing with it inches from his mouth to peer at Cuire.
"... you want me to stay the night here? I think I'll be fine outside, really." Balancing the bread on his leg, he sighed quietly. "You... have been kind, I'll give you that," he said, thumbing his lip with a concentrated look. "But I don't... I don't like crowds. An inn is usually... a crowd."

Cuire frowned, but nodded, handing Kliment the bowl of stew. "Well then.. You could spend the night In my living space.. I don't stay in the hotel.. I stay in a little hut not too far from here.. A-and if you don't like that, you are more than welcomed to stay in the gardens.. I'll bring out some blankets and pillows for you!! I don't want you to be uncomfortable.. Especially with your injury..."

The kid just couldn't take no for an answer.
Letting his eyes drift closed, Kliment sat and mulled over the boy's offers. It definitely wasn't often that someone, upon finding an intruder in their space, went ahead and not only offered them food, but a place to sleep as well. It was no surprise that he was dubious at his offer; he was far too used to being tossed out by his hair by disgruntled owners of various living quarters. Hell, he'd tried to sleep in an alley once and got bit by a hobo.
As he stared into the bowl, he concluded that no one was that nice without an ulterior motive. He'd seen too much - experienced too much - to be able to believe that anymore. Already having decided not to touch the soup, because, hell, the bread could've been poisoned as it was, he eyed Cuire out of the corner of his eye.
"I don't want to be a bother, but I can tell you won't stop... asking, until you're certain I'm safe, whatever your reasons may be. If it will suit you, then, I will sleep right here."
He hadn't intended to come off as rude, but his natural demeanor tended to make him sound so. But that wasn't a worry that weighed heavily on his mind that moment. He'd remembered something the boy had said earlier, about the innkeeper. Would he be angry if he discovered Kliment?
Well, he could only hope that he wouldn't find him at all, since this boy was the chef. The innkeeper would have other things to worry about; the garden would be the least of his worries, right?
Sighing, he closed his eyes again and massaged his temple, feeling a headache coming on.

Cuire bit his lower lip again... So.. The Stranger didn't want to be bothered... Well, for now it would be okay.. "Um.. Alright then.. But.. Um.. Do you mind if I moved you to a more.. Comfortable place in the garden..? I-I-I Mean.. You're right beside the door.. And.. I don't want you to get stepped on by are the bunnies.. Or.. Get yelled at by the guests.."
He fiddled with the basket in his little hands, trying to ease the uncomfortable atmostsphere... "By the way.. What is your name..?"

He felt a bit guilty, seeing the boy cringe with his words. It was pretty admirable of him to keep at it, trying to help him, and really, he didn't have any reason to be curt with him... He had no choice but to try to make it up to the kid.
Rubbing the back of his neck, he slowly stood, easing his weight onto his good leg. Best not to test the waters yet; not on that leg. Soup in one hand, bread floating on top of it, Kliment positioned his free palm against the wall.
"Kliment is my name. And your concern is... dully noted. Very well." Straightening the best he could, he added, "Again, your... kindness surprises me. You are...?"

"My name is Cuire.." The little one smiled, but immdiatly rushed to Kliment's side, holding him steadily so he wouldn't fall. "Y-You're still hurting.. I'm sorry I couldn't help better..." He whispered, looking down miserably.
"Um.. It's right over there.. You see where the trees form a little.. Well.. Cavern thing..? It's safe there, and it'll keep you warm on the cold LakeFront Nights.."

"Awww, something made that twilif sad!" Asako cooed, twitching her ears in distress. "Wait here, Ki! I'm going to go see if I can't make her smile again."
Asako snagged the napkin with the remaining rubies from the table, skipping down the hallway to where the twilif sat against the wall.
"Hey," she murmured, "You okay?"

Seeing Asako's distraction, Chiaki took the opportunity to slip out the door. The bunny twilif had attached herself to her side since "the accident"...
"No, don't think about it," Chiaki muttered, clutching her lantern tightly and making her way outside. In the garden, she saw a dark twilif leaning on the one she had seen enter the inn with pots and pans. She ducked down, hoping to skirt the garden and make her way out into the wilderness.
She couldn't help but gaze at the dark twilif out of the corner of her eye as she tried to sneak through the garden silently. 'He looks just like...'

"Hush," Kliment whispered, lightly pressing a hand over Cuire's mouth. Eyes narrowing in an attempt to better see through the darkness, he watched another creature make her way through the garden. She seemed preoccupied with trying to remain unseen, and honestly, he wouldn't have noticed her had he not spent his days attempting to advance those types of skills.
Letting his hand slide gently down, he continued to watch her as she crept by.
"Do you often get... rabbits in the garden?" He smirked wryly; obviously a figure of speech, but the idea of himself with rabbit ears still amused him. Aside from that, the creatures around this inn (and possibly the inhabitants) seemed to find it necessary to sneak around whenever possible.
"It seems that I will not find peace around here... Cuire," he mused, finally allowing himself to lean against the other. "And so, since it seems to be a losing battle... I have some coin." Fishing around in a pocket sewed conveniently into the inside of his shirt, Kliment produced a few golden coins, reflecting bits of moonlight. "Would this pay for one night's stay? I won't be any trouble."

Realizing she'd been caught, Chiaki flushed and then spun, putting her back to the dark twilif and scurrying off.
"Not him," she muttered, "and I knew that so why, why, why would I stop?" With that last word she halted, transfixed by the rippling reflection of the night sky on the edge of what appeared to be a lake.
Tilting her head back, she searched for one star in particular. "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight..." then scoffed.
"Wishes are for rabbit twilifs and those who don't know any better."
