Korin
~Outside of Sal's home~

Crunch.
The wood by the doorknob shattered, and Korin stared at it, horrified.
How brash!
"Well there's a lovely wake up call." she muttered, rolling her eyes. "We're the good guys, remember!?"
She glanced inside the house, and for once, decided to go first. She stood bewildered for a moment-- what's with all of the tattered sheets? Waht a strange little abode...
She heard a rustling coming from them. "I think we woke her up..." she laughed half-heartedly.
"Miss!" she called into the bizarre maze. "Miss, please, we mean no harm!"

Deirdre: ~Sal's Home~

Rumpling her hair in somewhat frustration (she had one complaining Celestial and another whose method she found herself constantly disagreeing with), she very soon replaced it with the warm smile trademark to an Isis Recruiter, and hopefully something that would help Sal feel more comfortable. Stepping forward, the smile merely dropped as she found the floor.

"More feathers...everywhere?" Deirdre raised her hands to her mouth so that she could bite her nails while she thought. "I know that there are some scientists that believe that we're descendants of angels, or a step in the circle of evolution that's going to bring us back to that...but this is just...too weird."

The house was also weird. This is someone that does not want to be found, which almost definitely means I have a very good reason to find her. Where are you hiding, little angel?

"This way," said Deirdre, pointing and moving after expending some psychic energy on the task.

((Feel free to jump in Penden, and apologies again. wink ))

Hiram: ~Across the Street from FM HQ, Rooftop~

Hiram growled in low tones, mostly because although he could now see - and had a new appreciation for the ability - he still had a throbbing headache, and he didn't doubt it was that damned Celestial's cursed 'magic' still taking its course. "Adrienne thinks it's the right place, so it probably is."

He had more thoughts, but chose not to voice them. He knew he was getting obsessed with the idea of giving Celestials what they deserved, but he wasn't quite ready to admit the extent to which. His thoughts, however, stood as a testament to how much he was willing to sacrifice.

Even if they are just ordinary civilians, we can still blame the Celestials. In fact, the public outrage will be much worse if that was the case.

"Miss!" A... strangely familiar voice called out from the entrance. "Miss, please, we mean no harm!"
You broke into my home.
No harm indeed.
It was then I heard them entering my maze, their foot steps light but there none the less.
They're-- coming for me?
I moved about the maze with ease. The design on the maze, my own, and embedded into my mind.
Strangely, they followed.
I moved swiftly, randomly, but it didn't make sense how they knew where I was.
I turned, here and there, my wings not completely folded so they occasionally brushed on the sides of the false walls. Making them move like a light wind that had passed by.
A wind. Of course.
My hands were cold, but with a small thought they warmed up with my mere thoughts. I always thought, it was just me thinking, but perhaps it was more.
Either way, I waved a hand towards the other side of the maze. A small dust devil of my old discarded feathers was formed, and started to move about the maze randomly too. It was too small to hurt anyone, but perhaps they'd think it was me.
With that done, I made my way back to the front of the maze without getting in their way.
I should leave, before they become too smart.

Parafli ~In ze maze~

There was no answer.

Both women had called inside, and he knew that the woman was obviously there. But for whatever reason, she was hiding. There were two things in this world Parafli hated more than anything: those who were cowards and those who made him wait.

She was both.

"I thought I explained this already..."

He muttered in aggrivation, glancing around the feather covered room. He could see the feather hurricane thing coming towards them, but he knew she wasn't there - there was no energy coming from it at all. Though Parafli's expression seemed emotionless, even an infant would be able to read what he thought of this all...

He was NOT amused.

"...I'm not world reknowned for patience!"

He finished, wind swirling around him as his energy seemed to challenge the fluffy whirlwind before him. But it didn't last long as the feathers (in the whirlwind, and scattered across the room) were picked up around him, and hurled into a large pile in the far corner of the room.

He continued on his "warpath" silently as he walked in a straight line, following her energy reading he could sense a mile a way. Feathers were swirling all around him now, the corner they were being tossed into was become mighty cluttered.

Suddenly he stopped, standing in the dead centre of the room as he glanced around, completely calm.

"Stop hiding... I'm an assassin, if I wanted to hurt you, let me assure you that you'd be dead before even knowing I was in here..."

12 hours later...

Inside FM HQ

Good Morning Andel!

Another morning in the domed metropolis of Andel where there world has been microsized to fit within the boundaries of a single city. Any specie was bound to create and form groups when gathered together in such close proximity. Humans have gathered for centuries, but usually against themselves. Now would these Celestials be a new kind? Or is it a merely a new group which has gathered due to their common trait.

This wasn't any other morning, and what was to occur surely wasn't common.

Sitting comfortably with a warm drink and the morning newspaper in the other hand was the young Thessaly. The headstrong leader of the group scanned through the blurred ink of the paper, reading of the things which he had been a part of. He did wonder if the blind man did make it to his destination. But the rest of his thoughts were on the rest of the news littered across the paper.

The Freedom Movement was the people's voice. It consisted of those who worked hard long hours for little money. They were for the many poor families who strived to make a living, with children whose lives seem to never move out of the cycle. The poor seem to just breed enough children to replace and fill the occupation their parents had done. A working class, but the struggle of a better life was always there. There could only be so much time to repress their anger, to silence their voices, and to break their spirits. The kindle is was there, all it needed as a spark.

X, the people's champion folded up the paper and laid it across his lap as he looked out of the window. The warehouse's white frosted windows obscured everything but the light which was entering. The sun was rising, and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day. With a sigh of relief, he turned his head around to look at the empty aluminum chairs and tables. It was as if nothing was there. The blood of the innocent wasn't going to spill today.

How did they know?

Intelligence and communication are keys to the organization. During wars of old, secret operatives were embedded into enemy territories to gather information and disrupt their system. FM was everywhere. They are the chefs that cook you food, the people who drive your bus, those who run the train, and even the guys who pick up your trash. There's a lot of things can find out about a person by looking at their garbage.

The rest of the group evacuated through the hollow tunnels beneath city, hidden from the prying eyes of the people above. They've spread out, some perhaps have returned to their families. Each unit and group are autonomous. There is no center, no brain to control the whole, they are cells capable of running themselves. They all know why they are members of group of vandals and vagabonds. They just want freedom.

They'll paint their faces blue and wear skirts if they have to.

Korin
~Sal's Home

Korin tried to keep up with the furious Parafli as he stormed through the poor girl's hovel. "This..." she tried to say, as she stumbled along, "Really isn't the kind of image we want to convey...!"
She barely saw Parafli stop and nearly ran into him. She looked at the ground. Feathers, again!
"She's a Wind Celestial, Dre..." Korin muttered. And she obviously doesn't want to be talked to...
"Deirdre, I'll just put a barrier around the house. We can't afford to lose another runaway."
Korin's eyes went blank, and she put up her hands in an elaborate fashion. There was a bright flash of light, and the air became still.
"Okay, Celestial. Will you allow us some time to speak with you? You're very important to us."

I was about to step outside the hole where my door use to be, when a tingling sensation rose hairs on the back of my neck.
I paused, then lightly placed a hand in front of the only exit.
"Oh no, no, no..."
The exit was no more.
I turned around slowly, to find my poor home in mass chaos. Feathers flying every which way, sheets flapping in the-- wind?
I, I didn't make my dust devil that big.
Acting quickly I snagged my rain coat that was caught up in the madness, folding my wings I then draped the coat over myself.
Giving me my hunch back, back.
My hands fingered lightly through my many pockets to assure myself I still had a few weapons on hand.
I mentally scoffed.
Weapons? You have surgical razors. You won't even use them Sal, don't you dare.

I took a deep breath, and allowed my hands to warm up again.
I raised them and brought them down in one swift movement.
The room bore a loud crack as the winds were parted and the once hanging sheets were ripped from the ceiling they were nailed to and flung to the right and left walls.
It was nothing but a room now, nothing dividing me and my assailants.
I glared. "WHAT DO YOU WANT!" With a blink I had realized how loudly I snapped. I shook my head and furrowed my brow. "Please, go already."

Deirdre: ~Sal's Home~

She stepped forward, scrutinizing, obviously deliberating. "Your back...what's underneath that coat?" Sighing, she paused, and then continued after a moment: "Do you know what you are? I'm sure you know you're different than most people, and that so are we. My name is Deirdre, and I'm an officer of Isis. What's your name?"

The Isis Recruiter training was all coming back to her, and she was strictly business. Glancing briefly towards Parafli and Korin, she made it clear that she expected them to introduce themselves.

Korin
Same ol' Same ol'

Korin tried to concentrate on the barrier. She'd made them before, but they were usually smaller.
And they usually held much less celestial power. It was usually just her and Deirdre. But now it held four freshly regenerated Celestials. And one of them was resisting it with a large amount of their energy. She really just wanted to block the doors--possible exits--but this Celestial was a Wind Celestial, which meant that the roof was a lovely escape route.
"I'm...I'm nobody. I just want to leave."
"Nobody? Come now, we all know better than that. We are not here to hurt you, steal from you, or kidnap you. We just wanted to help you. " Korin sighed and approached her. "It's as Deirdre said. We're like you, see?"
Korin stood only a meter away from the woman and opened her hands. An orb of pure Light Energy emerged and hovered in the air before spinning and disappearing suddenly. It was a useless spell offensive and defensive-wise, but it was pretty handy in the right situation.
"My name is Korin.' she said, attempting a smile. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think we're welcome...

Parafli ~Sal's home~

"Parafli Zax... I'm a professional assassin and I'd like nothing more than to live to see the downfall of Chrest and AGSA..."

Watching her face twist in confusion as she replayed the words Deirdre had spoken in the back of her mind. As she stated that she just wanted to leave, he shook his head.

"You're not the only one with these powers of yours... I'm sure you must've noticed my little wind show there? Or the fact that your door just magically disappeared?"

Leaning against a wall, he glanced at the feathers and such scattered across the room. Looking at her again, he shook his head and spoke once more before letting the others take over.

"You're a celestial, miss, and if you don't come with Deirdre it's likely you'll be caught by one of the other groups I just mentioned... trust me, unless you are looking forward to a slow, painful death, you don't want that."

Korin
Uh oh...
Korin tried to use the barrier to null the woman's magic, but to no avail. She instead made a smaller barrier and quickly came up behind the woman, hugging her arms to her sides and pulling her to a sitting position. This, however was extremely difficult, because of the large hump on her back.
There was something strange. It moved! And it can get smaller...!
Korin tried to swallow her confusion.
"Shhhh..." she said, trying to comfort her, "We're not 'them'. We're the good guys. We'll destroy 'them'... trust me, we know how you feel..."
She tried to use a bit of healing magic to calm the girl down. She was obviosuly in a manic-depressive state, and the magic wasn't doing much. Her hands, she knew, were glowing, and her eyes were all white. She hoped the girl didn't turn around.

((s**t. I don't understand enough about what's happening to Hiram to have Sammuel just jump in. So I'm going to fabricate something else. -_-; wink )

Samuel: ~Hiram's office~ 12 hrs later

Samuel had called Hiram as soon as he'd gotten out of Luca's precense, insisted on coming over, and there he was now. He had original gone there to make sure that Hiram was ok and, to that end, he spent the night and offered to get Hiram drinks and other things that his partner might find more difficult to do blind. Not that he expected the man to really take him up on the offer, and in the end he spent most of the night just sleeping.

After the adrenaline rush of the day before, he was surprised to crash so easily. He forced himself to make a mental list of what he would do, what he happened to be doing now, when he woke up. These plans did not much include Hiram because Hiram was not very talkative and Samuel didn't know what the ******** was going on with the guy. He gathered there was something important going on right at this moment, some where that was not Hiram's office.

But besides whatever mundane things Hiram may have asked him to do (hint hint) to help out, Samuel also had things to write down. He didn't want to forget anything important about his encounter with Luca and Suzaku, and since he wasn't entirely sure what all was important, he ended up writing out an abreviated account of the whole afair.

That might help him explain to his boss later how exactly it was that his target was killed, the killer let loose-- and that killer a Celestial. Oops?

I was quite startled at the sudden touch of another being and instinctively went rigid.
The arms were soft though, yet firm to hold me still. He use to do this, whenever I awoke in my sleep and couldn't remember where I was I'd panic, and he'd simply hold me. Hold me and calm me down until I was silent. Was this, Jove? No, the hands were too small.
A mumbled breath filtered through my lips, not audible to human ears. ".. father?"
"Shhhh..." The soft voice mingled by my ears, soothing out my thoughts. "We're not 'them'. We're the good guys. We'll destroy 'them'... trust me, we know how you feel..."
I was lost in my thoughts, but I heard her. I could feel her, inside my head, making everything-- better.
I slowly but surely relaxed, my wings along with my body. A few feathers I felt detach and fall onto the ground next to us.
Thoughts of leaving felt stupid, fighting seemed wrong, and listening to the people who broke into my home, all of a sudden wasn't a bad idea.
I tried to speak, but only a small sigh escaped. "...Sorry."
