Skiaska snorted softly as the boquet hit Kerrigan in the face. Seeing the couple nearing each other, she quickly left the Chapel to cleanse her room. It still smelled largely o blood, and there was a... Ski puzzled over what to call it. Terra was already dead. Shrugging, she went about her task. She would join the others later. This is why I should never "fall in love" again. It just leads to pain and chaos. ...I'll just leave the happiness to my fellow hunters.

((Entering the chapel))
In a slum of hopelessness and sorrow that could only be detected by the the empty heart beat in her chest. Seeing that the chapel was mostly empty she heaved a great sigh and stands in the darkest corner mourning for the aniversary of her best friend's death. No tears came for the thought of her friend gone left an empty black hole in her heart, she waitd until the whole chapel had gone before she approached the the front row altogether, "my dear friend, if you can hear me . . . " she paused for a second and removed the blind fold to reveal crystal blue and silver eyes. "One can only hope you can hear me, *sigh*, a year ago i couldn't save you from a monster gray, and i swear to avenge your death I only hope you find peace where no mortal can go." Again no tear came to her eye and she could almost hear her friend speak to her " Yanni'n don't mourn for me, this was supposed to happen and this is what made you a hunter. Now go and smile as if i never died." This was painful to hear but it brought great happiness to hear her voice again.

Will walked into the chapel and headed for the confessional, knowing that Father Michaels would be there. Reno's blood still stained his shirt and hands, but he paid it no mind. Sitting down in the confessional, he crossed himself then turned to the screen. "Forgive me father, for I have sinned..."

Will jerked awake in the confessional, yawning widely. "Sorry, father. It's been a long night."

Father Michael's warm and concerned voice came from the other side of the screen. "William, you've been here for hours. You've confessed every little sin you've committed in the past three years right down to jaywalking and littering. And you've said no less than a hundred hail Marys. Now how about telling me what truly troubles you."

The hunter sighed and looked down at his hands. "Isn't it obvious? Reno was one of ours, and i killed him. I don't care that he betrayed us, he was still ours. He was mine, my hunter, my responsibility. And just a little while ago, I had to act as his executioner. I feel like I failed him. And how many more will I fail? How many of the people that I value and cherish will be pushed over the edge by this lifestyle? How many people that I call friends today will I be murdering tomorrow? It's all so uncertain, and it scares me..."

"Will... You're a fine leader, mostly because you do care so much and yet will do what needs to be done. Don't worry about tomorrow, that's God's providence, and you must have faith that he will provide. Now clean yourself up and go spend some time with your wife and daughter."

Nodding, Will rose and walked out of the chapel, moving over to the locker rooms so he could wash himself off and change into a spare set of clothes. The priest's words had given some comfort. Yet doubt still rang in his mind. Was what Reno said true? Was he doomed to kill and destroy those he wanted to protect? Still mildly troubled, he shucked off his bloody clothes and stepped under the hot jet of water, letting the dirt, grime, and blood wash away as he pondered his own thoughts.

Tap... Tap... Tap...

The sound of light footsteps could be heard entering the chapel. They were slower than a normal pace, as if attempting to avoid disturbing the peace of quiet that had settled in. It is said that in silence, the screams of your sinful soul could be heard, echoing throughout your entire being, crying out for forgiveness.

Kashkin didn't believe any of that crazy chatter for one moment. Your sould crying out to others. Hah. As if that could actually happen.

He walked over to one of the benches in the middle of the chappel, removing a neclace made of deerhide with a tiny wooden cross on it. He knelt, sat down on the bench, and looked up at the celing. His eyes twitched for a moment, as if comming out of a dark room into the sun. Black hair covered part of his face, yet both of his eyes visible still. He pulled back the sleeves of his black sweatshirt, adjusted his jean's pocket, and knelt down, his hands comming together. He rested his forehead on his hands, eyes half open, almost as if in a trance. He said nothing, but his expression said it all. It was obvious that he had been up for well over a day or two, rings around his eyes, and his body looking like it went through enough battles to encompass a week.

"Dear God...." he said quietly. He closed his eyes for a moment, blocking out the rest of the world, all but his thoughts.

"Dear.... God...... I pray to you..... to forgive me of my sins. The ones both done intentionally and not...." He paused, his eyes open again, looking glazed over. "I pray... for you to please protect my family... and the only other friend I have...." His glazed over eyes glanced around without moving his head. He could have sworn he just saw the priest of the church. Heh. It was his first time here.

"I pray not for my well being.... Give it to someone who deserves it, for I seek vengance and to bring pain and death.... That isn't the kind of guy you want to help, is it?" He smiled weakly at this, but only for a moment.

"I have but two last things to ask of you... One of which, I hope you could grant, even if it involves taking my life...." His teeth cringed. He hated this part, but controlled his emotions. He hoped every time he did this God would answer him.... Just once.....

"Please..... help my sister..... help me to find her, protect her, and save her, even if it means claiming my own life...." He gulped. Fresh memories of his siter appeared in his mind, flourishing. He needed to get out of the chapel soon. He needed some air, and it was almost time for him to go, anyway.

"I pray to you, oh God, to please.... fufill that one wish for me..... I know I probably won't ever go to heaven for killing demons and monsters like vampires...... and for expressing dislike and hate to those vampires who have changed their ways and have joined the ranks of the killers of darkness such as myself....."

He sighed softly. "Amen...." He cut the prayer short. He didn't need to finish. The rest was said from his heart, silent but loud.

He knelt there. Praying with his whole being. He began to recite a few prayers, his lips moving in unison with his mind.

His lips stopped moving, his eyes closed and body as un-animated as a stone statue.

He smiled.

Kashkin, his eyes covered by a shadow cast by his abyss black hair, got up and left the bench, standing in the middle of the chapel now. He looked around, taking one last glance. This wasn't such a bad church after all.

With that, he turned around and walked out, just as quietly as he had entered.....

Here ...

Here ...

It was here that she had needed to come ... She should have come a long time ago but she hadn't. She'd neglected her God for so long ... She'd have to ask him for forgiveness and she had to tell someone of her sins, someone of what she'd done. God, in ways, it seemed, he had abandoned her, and yet, in other ways, he had come to her and given her much. Not only did she have to ask forgiveness and confess, but she had to thank him ...

Edith continued on into the chapel with amazing grace for being Edith. She was near completely silent, the pad of her heels touching the ground the only sound that could be heard in the chapel. But since it was so silent, the sound reverbrated, bounced off the walls, and it made Edith realize just how small she was, how small this room was, and that she was alone.

Good. She needed to be alone. She needed to pray. Ask for some guidance, make sure Reno was smiled upon by God. He'd done no wrong, he deserved nothing less than to rest in eternal peace ... She'd ******** up so badly ... So badly that he'd wanted to die, wanted to leave this world, she'd blinded him from seeing what was good in life ... All her fault ...

She knelt down behind a pew and gently knocked her head against the backs of the pew ahead of her, this sound also reverbrating eerily through the empty and seemingly dead chapel ... "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry ..." was all that she whispered.

Tokeru had followed Edith to the chapel, and was going to join her, when she began to pray. He recognized that she wanted to be alone, and yet he wanted to hold her and comfort her, but he did neither.

He just stood at the entrance to the chapel, his religion forbidding him to be there, but yet he didn't care, he just wanted to be there for her when she stopped praying.

Kiriyama stopped at the entrance to the chapel. He looked at Tokeru and could smell Eden's scent on him.He saw Eden praying her heart out. He had a good idea why to."You know........she's praying for that boy. The one that was killed infront of her. Reno. She loved him by the sound of it. And you accepted it?" He said looking at Tokeru.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 15, 2007 7:16 pm

Edith's psychic senses made her much more aware of auras, and Tokeru's aura, was the one she sensed the easiest, just as she could hear his thoughts the easiest. She knew that he was there, that he was probably watching her, listening to her babble like an idiot ... Watching her hit her head on the pew ... If she was human, there would be blood, there would he a huge dent in her forehead, but she was dead now, it didn't matter. Not dead, but undead.

She didn't want anyone here, anyone watching her ... especially Tokeru ... He'd just proposed to her, she was supposed to be happy, not upset like this, skulking around like she was some depressed person. Heh, she might as well have been on those anti-depressants that back-fired when someone who wasn't depressed took them. She was acting miserable and she felt miserable ...

Her intentions for coming here, she was going to pray for Reno, ask God to lead him to heaven. She considered saying this prayer silently so that Tokeru couldn't hear, but she decided that he deserved to know what she was praying about even if it wasn't his business. Yet at the same time it was his business, if they were going to get married, they had to be honest with eachother, and their business, whatever it was, was the other's.

She heard Kiriyama, pretty hard not to, he wasn't being quiet or anything. Yeah, so maybe she had loved Reno, maybe she still had feelings for him, even though normal people, most people, moved on. She didn't, she always kept a part of them with her. And Reno staying with her was tormenting her at the moment.

"Dear God," she decided to make her prayer short, "please watch over Reno for me. Don't be upset with him, what he did, it was not out of spite or hate, it was because of me ... Please ensure that his passage is a safe one. He deserves no less." She then rose and went to meet Tokeru and Kiriyama.

Before Edith had risen and finished her prayer, Tokeru muttered to Kiriyama. "She's praying because after she chose me over Reno, he went insane, joined the enemy and futily tried to destroy anything that made him happy. Which then ended in his death. She's also praying because she's a decent, good person, who doesn't deserve any of your scorn or hidden questions."

When Edith rose, Tokeru walked over to her, and hugged her.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:49 pm

Edith held Tokeru, she'd not needed to hear what he'd said, his reaction mentally was enough for her to form a close hypothesis as to what he had said in response to Kiriyama's little question about her and Reno. Tokeru was very accepting of her, he'd overlooked a lot of things, a lot of mistakes that she'd made. She'd killed a whole bunch of people, enjoyed it, in front of him, and yet, he was still able to hold her close as if she weren't a monster, as if she weren't screwed up inside and soon to be out. And for that, she loved him. For so many reasons she loved him. And for so many reasons she hated herself.

Her arms came around behind Tokeru's back, pulling him much closer to her, allowing her to cuddle with him and rest her head on his chest. She felt secure knowing that she could stand here for a few moments with him in silence. Did there need to be words? Would he think she was upset at him if she did not speak? Why did life, communication, have to be so complicated? Sometimes thoughts to one's self was a bad thing for if people knew other people's intentions, then many things could be started, many prevented ...

She wouldn't cry ... Not here, not now, not in front of people. Grieving was done alone, it was always done alone for her. And she was not the type of person who let it go silently, she was someone who grew angry when they grieved, she took her frustrations out on what she could. Sometimes, by accident, she would take her anger out on people.

Slowly, ever so slowly, her fists clenched as she held Tokeru, her anger was beginning to overtake her, the more and more she thought about Kiriyama's question. And slowly, she unwrapped her arms from around Tokeru, then she looked him straight in the eyes and laid a gentle, tender kiss on his shoulder, fists clenched at her side.

She made her way over to Kiriyama, pace slow at first but rapidly quickening until she was right beside him. "If you're going to ask a question, a question about me, why don't you come fourth and ask me next time, eh? You don't need to bother Tokeru with questions about me, and you don't need to pry into things that didn't involve you. Yeah, I cared for Reno, yeah, I still have feelings for him because I'm an emotional wreck and because he deserved a lot more than what life, now death handed him." Tears threatened to come, but she was too angry for tears, too angry to remember to yell, she had whispered.

Quite randomly, one of Edith's clenched fists made it's way toward Kiriyama, then violently swerved so that it crushed the wall. Hole, yeah, there was a hole. Knuckles feeling a little raw, yes but she'd always been backed by adrenaline and it took her a while to feel the pain. "If you hurt Skiaska, I won't need to do anything to you." She laughed somewhat crazed. "I won't need to do a thing ..."

Tokeru gentilly grabbed Edith's arm. "Love, he's not worth it, lets go somewhere quiet, where you can talk to me all you want" He shot a glare at Kiriyama "without anyone interrupting us."

He pulled her out of the chapel, and our into the hallways.

Kiriyama simply shrugged."I try to tell them about one little thing and apparently I get people upset."He sighed."Maybe Skiaska is the only one that understands me."He put his hands in his pockets and looked around the chapel. It was the first time he had ever been in one."Now weres the preist?"

Father Michaels standing not far away from Kiriyama and the others saw the little confrentation. When he heard Kiriyama was looking for him and walked up to him providing a warm welcoming smile."Welcome. How may I assist you?"

Kiriyama was raised to always treat preist of any kind with respect. He strightened himself out and cleared his voice."Oh yes. I will be marrying Skiaska, and I wish for you to join us together. I would like the wedding to take place tomarrow. Can you do it Father?"

Father Michaels chuckled. He really wasnt used to somone like Kiriyama being formal with him."Yes. It will be no problem at all."
