Sayo merely waited nearby, her weapons out and ready to use if that became necessary. The poor, silly little man. Mastering his Bankai... not quite. It took more than simply using it for awhile to understand it at the deepest level, to know every move of every attack made with it, and to be assured of its exact strength against anything it went against. This man was a little too confident in his abilities, and felt that because he had some small power, it allowed him to be cocky. Ages ago, Rednal had told her about this sort of thing. Many Shinigami around the level where you could be called a Captain now thought that they were great, and they had little problem with proving this to anyone who asked while they did whatever they wanted. The best way to deal with such children was to pummel the lesson into them and make sure that they understood: They weren't half as great as they thought. None of the Captain-levels now were worth anything in comparison to the originals.

"Oh, you damn well know what I mean," Kaigen replied, not caring about Raiden's spiel about his Bankai. Kaigen held similar beliefs to Sayo in the fact that he really doubted that Raiden had truly mastered his Bankai. Obtained it, yes, but not mastered. "Your edict is heard, To the stocks!" Kaigen muttered, ducking to the side as he stabbed Jakenkou into the floor to Raiden's left. Once the sword hit the floor, Raiden would find himself halted indefinitely. Unfortunately, that meant that Kaigen would be left without a weapon, but he wouldn't need one to finish off a completely subdued Raiden.
"Oh, Sayo-chan . . . care to take a stab at it?" he asked with a smirk. No one had broken free of Jakenkou before, but Raiden sure as hell better think of some way to spike his reiatsu past Kaigen's . . . maybe Bankai? But by then, Sayo would likely have taken him down.

About the time Kaigen said 'care', Sayo vanished from sight and a crater formed where she had been, the mostly inevitable result of her using her notably multiplied strength in addition to Shunpo to accelerate herself considerably faster than most Shinigami could go. Even among the speed types, which the target was not. Her dash was for a simple attack, with her blades coming down. Usually, this would have been across his chest to literally cut him into four pieces, but she was trying extremely hard not to kill him, and so her cuts were at his shoulders instead to lop off his arms. They could probably stop the bleeding. Some of the physically enabled Shinigami could probably have blocked her attack if she was using one sword. Two swords meant her Bankai was active, however, and even at only fifty percent of her maximum upgrade possible through cycling her energy, her blades still had more than enough power to crush the masks of Gillian in a single hit. A target incapacitated would have no chance, and even less since there had been so little time from the moment the incapacitation had begun to the point she launched her attack. Now, how to stop the bleeding that would occur? Maybe Kaigen knew... healing was something Sayo didn't know much about, except for the fact that it usually involved bandages and was a good thing after you got hurt. She'd never bothered to learn the details.

"No choice then. Bankai," Raiden whispered as the attack came towards him. His bankai spiked indefinitely releasing him from Kaigen's zanpakuto's ability. His right transformed into a claw while a black demonic wing sprouted from his right shoulder.

Blocking Sayo's attack were siz swords that were controlled by the woman in front of Sayo. Konpaku Shouhisha was glaring daggers at her.

"Defile my soul in darkness, Myou Senkusha," Raiden spoke softly as he floated above the ground.

"With pleasure," Konpaku replied. Her glare softened as a playful smile appeared on her face.

Working to block Sayo's attacks directly was not a particularly intelligent idea. Some people could have managed it; the three best of the original Captains, certainly. Perhaps four others, each very strong. But more to the point, when it came to brute strength, there were few who could exceed her force even at this level. Sayo wasn't a ranged fighter at all; her only ranged offensive powers weren't powers at all, but by-products of swinging her swords very hard and very fast, so mundane that anybody with such strength could manage it. This little spirit trying to resist her, though? Just plain silly. The six swords were shattered as Sayo's blades smashed against them and the girl continued to hurtle through the air, bringing a weapon down towards the spirit's body the instant she was in range. The infamous Sayo-doken, as her first Captain had called it. A stunningly fast charge, greater than her shunpo since she added in brute force to get additional speed (hence the craters on the ground when she launched) coupled with a vicious swing from her weapons. His Bankai was interesting, a little sprite to fight for him, but it wasn't designed for heavy offense the way her weapons were. In a head-to-head confrontation like this, it was not a contest.

Raiden, with speeds much faster than before, flew behind Sayo with his claw shrouded in dark energy. He then reached out hopefully to catch Sayo in his grasp from behind.

Konpaku on the other hand dodged backwards from Sayo's attack. She sent her last two intact swords forward towards Sayo in hopes of stabbing her in her shoulders. Behind her, her broken swords started gathering together and rebuilding themselves.

As Raiden moved past him to try and attack Sayo from behind. Kaigen sheathed Jakenkou and slid something out of the handle. "Bloom, Ibarahime," he muttered as he tossed the knife he drew out to Raiden's sword arm. As it flew, a chain formed behind it. As raiden swung he found his clawed arm caught in the chain, and the small blade of Ibarahime lodged in his arm. Kaigen yanked back, pulling Raiden off balance and spinning him round to face Kaigen. Kaigen swung his leg around, stepping on the chain as he yanked back again with his free hand, pulling Raiden off his feet and towards him. "Raiden, you made a horrible mistake releasing your Bankai against me," Kaigen muttered, though his voice was not his own, but one more feminine and gentle than his own.

Just before the attack would make contact against Raiden, it would be deflected by an enemy zanpaktou. Amaterasu, to be more exact. Kneeling into a crouch where he had flash stepped his way into the ruins of central 46, Tsumuro raised his head to take a look at the situation. Apparently they planned on overwhelming Raiden and the rest of the shinigami turned vizard.

"Heat that scorches all of creation, Amaterasu."

He said activating the shikai of his zanpaktou, causing the blade itself to melt into a dancing blade of hellish flames. Unlike the others, he wasn't one to hold back in a situation like this. Those who held back were fools. Should the council question Kaigen or Raiden about how munch they really tried defeating their enemies before they escaped, the two of them would have no choice but to admit that they weren't giving their all, thus receiving punishment in the end for playing around in grave situations. There were certain times when one could toy around and there were just some situations where one must be serious about duty. These fools didn't seem to know the difference, which is why Central 46 looks the way it does right now.

Sayo was behind Tsumuro about as soon as his weapon had finished releasing, one blade in front of him at his neck and the other behind, aimed at a kidney. The sword sprite's weapons would probably follow her eventually, but they were nowhere near fast enough to keep up with her, not with her speed boosted the way it was by her weapons. "You wish to ally yourself with the traitor? she asked simply, ready to kill him if he gave the wrong answer. It was fairly hard to accuse Sayo of not being serious; she hadn't smiled in a very long time. Soul Society had a rule about striking at Captains, true, but anyone who would be assisting a target they were working to capture would have to be a traitor, and thus not protected by the law. His rank was about the only thing that had stopped her from just looking to lop off his head.

If Sayo truly judged this situation by rank then truly she had made a grave mistaken in bringing that blade close to Tsumuro's neck. With the push of the flaming Amaterasu, he knocked the blade away from his neck and rubbed the area where the blade had slightly cut him. These shinigami were troublesome in an annoying manner. They had no common sense what so ever. Always claiming to be going only 50% power or holding their true power back. True it sounded interesting when one said it, but when all of them sung the same song it generally gets old after a while. Especially when one claims to have moves but declares they will never use them.

"Pretty overrated, you guys are if you asked me."

H answered the girl's question. Now the real fight was about to begin. He didn't have time for playing around with these shinigami. Right now his goal was to get the vizard out of the Sereitei and be done with it so he could get a little rest. He had been up for days because of fighting against the hollowfication process and he was tired as hell. Whipping the flaming Amerterasu around, the weapon then converted itself into a large gauntlet type of weapon that wrapped across both hands. Driving his fists into the ground, he caused cracks of rip etch out around Say and himself causing a curtain of flames to rise up from the cracking vents that etched up and fold over their heads, trapping the two in a small dome of concentrated flames.

"Ally myself with a traitor? You gotta be kidding me. I've been decided to help Raiden, you two dummies were just two stupid to see that earlier."

((1. My sword is being held by my left arm, it's a little hard to grip a sword and grab someone at the same time.
2. I'm not on my feet. twisted ))

With the chain around Raiden's right arm and Kaigen pulling on it, Raiden happily obliged Kaigen's pull and helped close the distance by speeding towards him through the air. As he approached Kaigen, Raiden started becoming surrounded by a puprleish-redish-black reiatsu.

After Tsumuro arrived and attacked Sayo, Konpaku nodded to Tsumuro letting him know that she was off to go help Raiden fight Kaigen. Her swords fully reformed, she withdrew the two homing swords since they had yet to catch up with Sayo. Konpaku then turned and arrived at the fight between Raiden and Kaigen.

(( XD I think I misread something. Maybe she thought you were attacking him instead of helping? ))

"Is that so." the armored Shinigami answered dryly, pulling her weapons back. Perhaps she was just being overly paranoid lately, what with plenty of Shinigami heading out and betraying Soul Society. Foolish, really. She seemed slightly bored with the flames. It was probably a bad habit of hers, but the first Captain she had served under had also used flames through his Zanpakuto, and those had been impressive. This... not so much, really. Granted, if you looked at it in a relative way it was strong, still further up than 99% of what most Shinigami ever reached... but that much power alone was not enough to be truly impressive. "You may wish to put the actual target inside of a dome such as this, however... for if you wish to fight me here, then whatever your words I must consider you a traitor." the girl didn't have a complicated way of looking at things. She was serving Soul Society by going after a traitor, and so anybody who impeded her was also someone to be taken down.

The newcomer could think what he wanted about Kaigen . . . he had no reservations of going all out against Raiden, it would just be stupid to throw his cards on the table before the flop. Speaking of Raiden, who was speeding towards Kaigen, giving him slack(that idiot), he was in for a pleasant surprise. He twirled the chain gently as he jumped right over Raiden, smirking as the loop fell around Raiden's neck. Kaigen pulled the slack towards him. If Raiden didn't change direction instantly, he would start to choke. If he tried to use his clawed arm, he would choke himself . . . he was in a pickle. And he wasn't exactly about to break he chain . . . Kaigen's spiritual strength was a little too strong for that. oh yeah, and if Konpaku had any idea of trying to break the chain, Raiden would, as per other scenarios, be choked. "Raiden-kun . . ." he began, addressing him by -kun for some reason . . . he had never done that before, "These chains will be your home, stop fighting."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:25 am

Raiden halted the chains with his sword, preventing them from choking him. He then spun quickly out of its way in which it was trying to choke him, "It's gonna take more than cheap tricks to stop. It's gonna take you more than my Black Onslaught to stop me."

As Raiden finished his sentence, the blackish reiatsu covered him completely. Black Onslaught was at the ready. Bankai had already powered him ten times over, and now his strength was increased again by five times. His right claw grabbed hold of the chain surrounding it and he pulled, he pulled hard to bring Kaigen towards him, "I'll make my home wherever I damn well please!"

Konpaku arrived next to Raiden. She then proceeded to manually remove the embedded blade and chain from Raiden's right arm so it wouldn't be as much of a threat anymore while Raiden 'yanked' on the chain itself.

((lulwhat? XP))

As Kaigen found that Raiden was trying to reel him in, he smirked as he tried a similar tactic as the one Raiden had tried. He used shunpo to get right in close to him as he sealed Ibarahime. Grabbing the blade, he flashed away from Konpaku and slid Ibarahime back into the sheath. He drew Jakenkou once more, "Assert your dominance, Jakenkou," he breathed as his zanpakuto regains it's curved form. He stood at the ready, pulling his sheath from it's wrappings. He would need to use it in order to block some of the extra attacks Konpaku would send his way. "So it's like that? . . . then your new home will be the path you have chosen . . . destruction," Kaigen growled, his voice changing once again. His voice and words seemed to change with his Zanpakuto. "Give me a reason to lend him our powers, Raiden."
