Jack sighed and rubbed his eyes. There were too many people saying too many things and not wanting to do anything about it.

He needed to take charge of this situation.

"Listen up!" he said, projecting his voice over the others. He stepped upon a bookcase.

"My name is Dr. Jack Effinsweet." he announced, looking around at everybody, "We can eat and rest later, it's not safe here because someone" he said, glaring at the Zack, "Decided to run down our already flimsy barricade that Martin had set up.

I propose we head to the hospital, it's not too far from there and, if we secure it, it'll be safer than this place and we'll have access to additional supplies.

While the way there will probably be dangerous, the hospital itself should be relatively safe. Even zombies need an able body and a working brain."

He stepped down from the bookcase.

"Now, who can shoot and has a gun? You'll be our second line of defense, our first is running. Who can fight with or without a weapon? You'll be cover the gunmen if any zombies get too close. If you get hurt, I can patch you up. Now, does anyone else have any useful skills, supplies, or questions before we head out?"

"I don't know how well I can use this," Martin replied, lifting his metal pipe a little. "I don't know how well it'll hold up over time, either. I'll forfeit it to anyone who thinks he can use it better."

He leaned against a nearby shelf.

"Now, theoretically speaking, we're not actually in as much danger as we could be, if we pull the truck up against the wall. But what was once a great hiding spot is now a deathtrap. We need to figure out where to make our new fortification."

Jack looked to Martin, "I'm telling you, the hospital's the best place. Supplies and safety, what more can you ask for?"

He now turned to Zack, "Think your truck still works?" he asked.

((Jake and Jack, oh the jokes some smart a** will come up with. Worse yet, Him and jack are the only ones with leadership skill.))
Jake looked over to Jack and raised an eyebrow. Effinsweet? What the ******** kinda name is that? “Sounds like a plan Jack. I think we can get to the hospital better if we just drive. I have a convoy out back with food, ammo, fuel, and water. I am running low on water so we need to get somewhere that can supply that. I'm going to get geographical and topographical maps of the area.” Jake ran upstairs and rummage threw the library cards. “Here we go.” Jake said after finding the right one. He walked across the hall and picked up an atlas and walked back downstairs. “I got what I needed. Can anyone other then myself drive or operate a machine gun?”

((sorry about the delay in my post I've been trying to think of a reason he would leave.))
Well damn, something opened a leak in the propane tank Alaric thought as he looked at the gauge I need to get out of here, this place could go up soon. He began gathering canned foods, basic staples, bottled water, and small cast iron pan into a camping backpack, grabbed a machete from the camping supplies, and hung his other weapons on the outside of the pack. looking around one last time, he picked up the small propane tank of the floor and slid it into a side pouch, along with the portable burner. Time to go... He then pulled the wooden bar from the back door and, welding it in his left hand, slowly walked the streets looking for a place that could serve as a new fortification.

Andy sat atop the roof of a building he had never known to exist before everything went to hell. Looking over his meager supplies a shudder went down his spine. Things were beginning to look grim, his complete lack of paranoia only solidified the feelings he had. He hadn't seen any survivors for six days, the last one he did see was overwhelmed trying to reach Andy's hideout. He barely flinched as she was torn apart down below. Being alone had become almost comfortable at this point now.

Even in her dazed state, she still had the braincells to pick up the fact that his name was pretty damn ridiculous. Who the hell would pick a surname like Effinsweet back in the days of stone castles? Hell, he might have just made it up...

Wobbling slightly, Lilith stood up. "I've got cans of food, pills I can't even read, and some bottled water." She lifted up the crowbar. "And this piece of crap." She glanced at Martin. "Want it? It looks a bit more solid then the pipe." 'Cause I sure as hell won't be any good with it.

Avoiding the dead masses was turning out easier than expected, but Alaric was starting to feel sleep creeping over his senses, I need to find somewhere now. He continued silently down the street, until he spotted a church steeple, Not the best but it will have to do for now. He made his way to the front door and pushed against it. when it didn't open he made his way around to look for a back door and saw a nun that had changed, he crossed himself, more out of respect then religion, he was not a pious man, never had been, but he respected others religions enough to learn the basic customs of as many as he could. He approached the back door and pressed on it, and again it didn't open. He punched it once in frustration then took a step back and looked at the higher floors for a way in.

((Loathe as I am to break up the autonomy, all outliers need to join either the Church Team or the Library team by tomorrow, since I'll be starting missions then.))

((Trying to join the church team, but no answer. should I just climb in? I don't have that skill though.))

When Murdock heard a thump on the door, he was instantly on his guard. He moved up next to the door and said quite loudly, "Are you alive and uninjured?" Alive was asked first, but whether or not the man was injured was far more important. The stranger would be a danger to anyone encountered. He had written enough on the subject to be able to anticipate the general way thinks would work. If the man was injured, Murdock would have to kill him.

((there you are, Daystar. Just be patient. I post at least once a day. Also, skills mean you are very good at something. It doesn't mean you can't. Anyone can run, but people with that skill are probably athletes or have some prior training.))

((True, but I would have a greater chance of falling, probably into the fenced off area with the nun if I tried, right? smile ))
At the voice on the other side of the door, Alaric walked to it and said in a low voice hoping it would carry through the door, "Yes on both counts, and well supplied as well, I am willing to share them if you will share your shelter, I would rather not stay outside during the night." He stood back from the door, his hand behind his back on one of the sticks, in case the man behind the door was hostile.

"Alright, I'll open the door. If you have lied to me, I will kill you. If you have been honest, I expect you to bar the door upon entering." Then he moved the wood block aside and gently pulled the door open. The stranger could do the rest on his own while Murdock stepped back.
