User Image Kia was surprised at first. "You are eating some of this too, right?" He questioned her, as he was not going to be able to eat that much. Maybe half of it... or more like a quarter of it.

Kia considered her offer. "By then, I should be done with this bag, so I think I will watch, if you don't mind." he silently said to himself, 'seen as if I need help, I probably wouldn't be able to yell for it. So far that plan hasn't worked for me.' You could see this unspoken thought play across his face, but it was just for a moment. He then grabbed one of the grilled cheese from the plate, and started stuffing his face on it. "This is good. Mom cooks it just like..." Then he had an expression of sadness as he thought of his family. It might have only been one day away from them, but it was hard not knowing if he would ever see them again. He had to stay positive though! He would see them again! He would... but somehow he didn't feel like that was true.

To stop himself, he stuffed a large piece of the sandwich into his mouth, and proceeded to scold himself with it. "Ow." He stated, blowing on his lip, which was kind of comical in its own right. He should have been more careful.

User ImageKalia smiled, "No.. it's all yours..." she said with a faint smile, "I nibbled as I cooked so I'm good..." she said, "I don't mind..." she said, he probably wouldn't speak to her afterwards most people didn't but it was his choice. Kalia didn't know what to say about the sorrow she saw on his face she wasn't very good with helping, and she had a sense telling him it would be alright would be a lie. Things were rarely 'alright' for those who could not be honest about what they were, she snorted, amused when he burnt his mouth, "Are they really that hot?" she asked.

User Image "That glob of cheese was!" He stated, a little loudly. It stopped hurting, so he continued to eat again. "I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but there is no way I can eat all of this. You might as well eat some too if you hungry." He munched on the grilled cheese again. The soup smelled good, but if she wanted some, he wanted to keep it as an option for her to pour into another bowl.

"So, how long have you been with this council? They seem like they are important and all." Another pry into her past, but he wasn't asking her age at least. He did wonder how old she was. Then again, he was now wondering how old he was. "What have you done for them? I'm sure you have a few tales you can tell." Kia was interested. It sounded more and more like this was going to be his only option in all this. He was sure the council would probably not want him to stay with a human family for much longer. If he did, they might notice him not aging. That could punch holes into their secrecy.

User ImageKalia sat on the edge of the bed, "No please you can as much as you like... there is more downstairs if you're still hungry..." she leaned back against the footboard, "I've been serving the Council for about 936 years..." she said after a moment's thought, "I am Enforcer I am most intel and reconisesnce..." she said with a shrug, "I'm small, unintimidating and very good at what I do.." she said with a smile that was just a touch dangerous, "Actually my Service has been pretty uneventful..." she said, "Most of my yearmates would have better stories to tell... if any of them were still around to tell them..." she added with a hint of a sad smile, "But such is the price of adventure in our world..."

User Image "I'm sorry to have brought back such painful memories. I was merely serious as to what I might end up doing in the future." Kia looked downwards. He didn't want to look at her eyes, in case if she was one who didn't like others see her sad. "I would be glad to of had the uneventful service then. I'm not ready to die." Kia was serious about that statement. The funny thing was, for someone so intent on living, he made a lot of stupid choices, one of which was... never mind. Best not to think about it.

"Are the council filled with understanding people? Will I be able to meet them? I'm sure they out of everyone must know something about me. Anything would be helpful at this point, instead of stumbling upon it." Silently in his head he added once again, 'and not hurt you or anyone else by mistake again'. "I wouldn't mind doing what your doing. Helping people in need. It sounds, rewarding." He took a bit out of his food again, finishing up the sandwich. She really did a good job on this. Yojan would love the amount of cheese in it.

Kia then wondered how Yojan would react to his older brother being a vampire. He kept seeing it with fear. Yojan would probably run. His mother might abandon him, no matter how nice and kind she was to him in the past. Either that, or they would laugh it off and not believe him. He would have to confront them eventually. He couldn't keep them in the dark for long. Even if the council forbade it, he would still go to them. They deserved a thank you, and at least the knowledge that he would be safe.

User ImageKalia looked up she had been thinking, "Oh now it doesn't bother me... I was just think about what Alista said to me... she was the last of my yearmates to die..." Kalia paused to remember the quote exactly, " she said, 'I would rather die for a cause I think is just, then live long enough to discover it's not'... and she said the others shared that with her..." Kalia shrugged, "They didn't want to live forever... you'd be suprised how many don't..."

Kalia hesitated she wanted to be able to say the Council would help but she owed him the truth, "The Council... is... old... there no compassion left in any of them... they live to protect us and the weigh of the deaths that need be for that peace to continue they bear alone..." she shrugged, "They are fair if nothing else..." she siad at last, it was the only even mildly positive thing she could think to say.

User Image Kia ate for a few moments and though, taking a spoonful of the soup and eating it as he thought for a moment. "Seen as you have been with them for so many years, what do you think they will do with me? I just can't see them leaving me with a human family. I don't seem to age. In a few more years, they might suspect I'm not human. Actually, had current events not come to pass, things would probably have started to get interesting in this area." It still sounded odd. Not human. Well, no point in not facing it and calling it was it really was. He wasn't human, but he wasn't a monster either. He was sure of that.

Kia was just now realizing how well timed things seem to have been. Any long on these events and things could have gotten messy, especially for this council. They should be glad Kalia found him when she did. He was, or he would be once again plastered in the park, and brought to the hospital. If he wasn't killed. He swallowed hard on the next spoonful of soup as he thought about this one. He really was glad Kalia had found him when she did.

User ImageKalia sighed, "I honestly don't know... There's never been a case like this before... Not since I've been around and I've read all the journals of my predacessors..." she said, "You could be of great use t out kind... but anything that could asset is my nature dangerous... so I am not sure..." she sighed again, "I wish I could offer you come comfort but I think you'd prefer if I didn't lie..." she smiled faintly, whether he realized it nor not he had finished half the food she had brought him and was still eating.

User Image Kia didn't know how much he had eaten. He didn't even pay attention. "I would rather be told the true, no matter how much it might hurt. I'll get over pain. I would rather know I can trust someone in all this." Kia wanted to say more. He wanted to say how he was feeling for her, but it could just be the moment. She seemed special to him now... somehow. He didn't know why. She was just, special. He felt drawn to her, unlike any of the other girls he ever flirted with.

User ImageKalia sighed, "I will do all I can to make sure that bears true..." she said rising as he finished up, "Are you sure you wanna watch me practice? Most poeple find it a bit unnerving..." she siad her smile wry.

User Image Kia reached for another sandwich when he hit nothing but a plate. He was surprised. He really did eat all that food. "Thanks, for everything." He then looked at her, "I can't believe I just ate all that... if I keep this up, I'm going to get fat!" Kia said with a chuckle.

Then, going to her question, he simply responded, "Wont know till I see. I don't see why it would be unnerving, unless you start aiming for me..." He just shrugged his shoulders. Watching someone swing around a sword shouldn't be unnerving at all. As long as the blade didn't swing his way he was fine with the idea.

User ImageKalia smiled faintly at his surprise, "Most weres have very very high metabolisms and eating food might help you body create more of it's own blood... that would leave you less defendant on transfusions..." she said reasonably.

User Image Kia considered that. "If it might work, I'm willing to give it a try..." He sounded dubious of it. She already said he wasn't a were, so he didn't think it would work. If it was possibly, he would try it though. Hopefully he wouldn't pack on the pounds.

Looking at his blood bag, Kia noticed it was empty by now. Reaching up, he unhitched the bag, and removed the IV base. It hurt, but quickly healed over. He placed the base on the nightstand, to be used later after being cleaned. "It seemed like it would fall out again, so I figured I would just help it along." He shrugged his shoulders at his own comment. It made some sense.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 12, 2009 7:07 pm

User ImageKalia noted cooly as he pulled the IV base out of his arm, "It's still better to take it out properly..." she said, "Less damage... whether it heals or not..." she shrugged and a smile lit her face as she darted out of the room, "I'll just grab my blades and meet you down stairs..." she said poking her head beack in before disappearing.

User Image Kia shrugged, "I've seen the nurses do it a thousand times before. Taking it out isn't the hard part." He knew what he was doing, as he had this happen to him a lot of times in the last four years. He might not be able to put it in, but taking it out was easy.

Kia observed as she quickly left the room, and then zoomed by with a quick message. She seemed to have gotten into a chipper mode, despite the blood lose she must be suffering from. "I'll see you.." Kia started to say, but she was off again, ".. there." Kia got up off the bed, taking the old bag and throwing it into the trash. He then walked down the hallway and down the stairs. It was then that he saw Kalia again.
