Lorien watched Maximus as he unloaded all his stuff. She put down her things as well. She didn't have too much except for her bracelet, some bread left over from the trip, and a blanket she had to keep her warm in the night. The light brown wolf decided to head towards the shower since she needed it. Before she went in she studied Maximus' expression. I hope he finds what he's looking for, Lorien thought before heading in.

**The next day**
Maximus had woken early, careful to let Lorien sleep as he got up, bathed, and pulled out the map again. Somewhere in this city was his home. Well... his old home at least. He just had to find some clue, see or hear something familiar, to find it. He just hadn't found it yet.
They had stayed out the night before, searching more after the light dinner. For her part, Lorien seemed to be keeping up, and still encouraging him to keep going. He smiled at her sleeping form before focusing again on the map. It was out there somewhere... It had to be.

Lorien slowly opened her eyes to see Maximus still studying the map. "What is it that you're looking for exactly?" She went over to him hoping she might help even though she was never in Rome.

Perking up his ears, Maximus turned to look at the female. Then he lowered his eye back to the map. "I'll know it when I see it." He said shortly, but not harshly. He was flustered that after a whole day of being here, he'd found nothing. Not even a tiny hint. He'd have to start asking around.
Clearing his throat at his own tone, he looked back up. "Did you sleep well, Lorien?"

Lorien reached out a paw like she wanted to say something, but held the thought since she didn't want to drive Maximus into annoyance. "I slept well...thank you." She didn't know if she should ask him or not. She didn't want to interrupt his train of thought, but yet she wanted to help if it was possible.

Frowning, Maximus thought he could feel a heavy silence start to fill the room. He sighed, stood to face Lorien and gave her an apologetic bow. "My apologies for my short speech. I suppose I had been too confident about coming here, thinking I would find something right away, and have been disappointed." He sat down. "I shouldn't be though. I was taken to the mansion as a pup. I shouldn't remember very much at all from here." He shook his head and gave her a small smile.
"I'm glad you slept well. We have a busy day today if I'm to find anything."

Lorien shook her head. "No...it's alright...I just didn't know if you wanted to be bugged or not. A lot of creatures react differently to being questioned a lot. Some hate it, where as others do not mind, and then there are those who love it. I just don't know which type you would be." She shrugged. "It's just funny since I've been trying to figure you out, but honestly I still don't have a clue. You really are mysterious sometimes."
She stretched out. "Thank you. I'm sure we will hit some clue in the least. That way we can figure out where to start searching." She looked out the window. "Don't remember anything about this place?" She was sort of aiming it at Maximus, but she didn't want to annoy him.

Maximus smiled gently. "You do many things, Lorien, but bothering me is not one of them." His smile remained small at her comment, but turned curious and amused. "Figure me out?" He chuckled. "A little mystery never hurt anyone."
Then he frowned. "Though, this is more than a 'little' mystery." He shook his head. "I don't remember much at all. I don't see anything that triggers any memory..."

Lorien shrugged. "I guess so." She sort of smiled. "Well if they have any museums around they may help. Museums tend to hold history in them and information about what this area could of been like back then. Although I don't know how far back you want to go." She shook her head. "Although some of it is also ancient history so I don't know if that's exactly what we're looking for."

Maximus flicked his ears. "A museum?" He smiled, standing up. "That's a good idea, Lorien." He looked at the map, searching for museums. "I hope one is nearby.... Ah! Right there!" He said, smacking his paw on the map. "This one isn't too far away."

It's ok...I've been getting worse at rp respondage here.
Lorien nodded her head. "Great." She looked at the map as well then looked ahead. "Well then...what are we waiting for. Let's go." For a moment she had on a childish smile as she started to dash off, but she caught herself. "Ooops...I mean you lead the way."

Maximus looked up, smiling his little smile at Lorien's excitement. He wondered what she thought of all this; being so far from home and all. Maybe he'd ask later.
Chuckling, he gave the map one more look before tucking it into his carry sack, slinging that around his neck and padding after Lorien. "As long as we both know where we're going, it doesn't matter who goes first." He said, though making sure to walk alongside and slightly behind the female. The better to keep her safe in the strange city.
They reached the sidewalk and began to trip to the museum, which was shorter than he had expected.

Lorien looked at the museum. "Wow...this thing is huge. There has to be some sort of clue in here in the least that involves the history that was here. Maybe somewhere you will find an idea in the least." She started up the steps staring at the statues that were outside before entering.

Maximus nodded. "Hopefully." He padded after Lorien, but froze when he got through the doors, looking around in awe. in front of them was a large desk with two women behind it working on papers. Looking around the desk, the museum extended forever behind it. Then the walls were lined with large archways leading to different exibits. "I've never been in one of these before!"

Lorien smiled. "Really? Truthfully...neither have I?" She noticed a map outlying the whole museum. "We can take one of these pamphlets that has a map inside it that way we can figure our way through here. This place is divided up into sections, history, animals, culturals, old art pieces, etc. Where would you like to look at first?"
