Katsuko stared at him. "get attached to-?" her eyes widened slightly. she swallowed. "please don't send me back. i can leave if you want to. if you take me back becasue you want to get rid of me it will only bring you more trouble." she said. *bonus.*

Thrall sat atop his wolf, starign at the fort, it was lightly defended. He let loose his war cry and began rushing the fort, summoning two wolves, who also began rushing the fort.

"But if I let you be my friend, pretty soon we will be inseparable and either something will happen to you or you will leave me. My parents already left me and the orphanage treated me bad. I have no friends and no family. I don't want to have to say goodbye again. I just want to live alone so i don't get hurt again." he said sadly.

*Being friends must be a big thing.* "if we do become friends, i won't leave you- as for something happening to me you'll just have to watch out for me." Katsuko tried on a smile. *a smile- so weird, the way it stretches your lips.* she thought, not used to smiling at all.

Katsuko took a step back. *Get a grip Katsuko!* she wanted to cry but knew that wouldn't help at all. she swallowed the lump in her throat and her hands clenched slightly. "that doesn't mean anything! who says you have to be like them? i don't see them around. use the things they taught you to benefit others!" she exhorted him. "you know- life is so much better when there's someone you love in it. when my mother died my world became gray. i didn't see any point to anything. We shouldn't have the color of life taken away from us. even though thats what we've both been taught- in different ways. we're old enough to think for ourselves, don't you think?" she said.
