He nodded, and as they slipped out into the night, he lifted her hand to his mouth and gave the knuckles a few kisses. "Mm. Alright, so we'll go beyond the paddock and just not into the trees." He smiles softly at her, as they get clear of most of the lights in the ranch, his eyes go skyward to catch the stars.

Serenity giggled and tightened her grip on his fingers, walking closer to him as they headed past the stables and along the fence.
"Honourable intentions, remember," she winked at him, giggling. "We have to behave here."

He laughs softly and he nods. "I know. But I'd like to know what you mean by behave. Does that mean I can't give you those kisses like I did in the park?" He smiles warmly at her, his head tilted. He was asking an honest question, he wanted to kiss her passionately, and the feeling has been growing since they've been in close contact since the afternoon.

Serenity laughed and blushed, but her grip tightened on Gaunt's hand.
"I suppose I can't argue with that," she giggled. "But still, I think it's best if we not get caught."
So they would indeed have to be quiet, or their walk would end up turning into a march back to the ranch house with chaperons.

He smiles softly and he nods, letting her continue to guide him as they walked. His eyes kept going back up to the stars, admiring them here because it was here that he could see the starts with no light pollution, and see the sky as it was meant to be seen. "Mmn. Alright. I'll try to behave. But I don't know if I can make promises."

When morning came, Serenity stumbled out of bed and dressed herself, then brushed her hair before she got her bag together and headed to the boys' room to check on them.
"Ian?" she murmured softly, peering into the room and seeing that he was still fast asleep. She giggled softly - she wasn't surprised. He was after all, her sleepyhead. She stepped into the room and sat on the edge of his bed and watched him as he slept, then glanced over at the other bed to see if Prince was still asleep as well.

Prince was still out like a light as well. And it didn't take long for Gaunt to shuffle into the room, yawning and rubbing his eyes. He mutters softly. "I wonder if they make a thing like coffee over here." He then blinks and he smiles softly at Serenity, wandering over to give her a morning kiss. "Mmn.. Good morning."

Serenity returned the kiss warmly, letting her lips linger against Gaunt's for a few moments before she released him again. "Good morning," she murmured happily, her eyes sparkling brightly. "I hope you slept well."
Though they had gotten back sort of late.
She smiled warmly at him. "They don't have coffee," she said apologetically, "but there's wine or ale or tea ..." She giggled softly. "But we should wake up the boys before we head down. I don't know how Prince wakes up, but Ian could be a challenge."

He laughs softly as he lets the kiss last as long as Serenity wanted it to, kissing her back all the while. He tilts his head a little bit as he started to move toward Prince, glancing over his shoulder. "Oh? How do you usually do it? And I guess I'll have to live with the tea. I don't know if I want alcohol first thing in the morning." He chuckles dryly and rests a hand on Prince's shoulder and gives it a little sake. "Morning, Prince. Time to wake up."
Prince groans softly and rolls over to have his back to Gaunt. "Mmn.. I don't wanna.."

Serenity giggled softly before turning her attention to Ian, brushing his hair back from his forehead tenderly.
"It's one of the blessings of the elves," she murmured softly. "Alcohol does nothing to them ... at least nothing negative. They don't have to worry about liver damage or alcohol poisoning or anything at all. Or getting drunk or even the slightest bit affected, for that matter."
She leaned down and kissed Ian on the forehead. "Time to wake up, sweetie," she murmured, still brushing his hair away from his forehead.
Ian sighed in his sleep and tried to roll over, sticking his thumb into his mouth.

Gaunt continued to gently shake Prince's shoulder. "Prince, if you don't get up, you might miss the delicious breakfast that our elven friends have prepared for us."
This seemed to catch Prince's attention. He sat up slightly and looked at Gaunt with sleepy eyes. "...do you promise there's food?"
Gaunt laughs softly and he shrugs. "I can't guarantee it, but I'm almost certain that there will be a nice home-cooked breakfast waiting for us when we make it downstairs." He then turns and he smiles softly at Serenity as Prince mulled over whether or not he wanted to get up and have breakfast. It wasn't a very slow decision. "Ooh? Then the elves do have it lucky, if they can drink ale and wine like water and not be affected."

Serenity shrugged. "A lot of people would see it that way, I suppose," she admitted, "but I'm not fond of alcohol in general. A bit of wine once in a while is about all I'll have."
She frowned a bit when Ian turned over - it meant he was falling into a deeper sleep ... and that it was going to be impossible to wake him now. She sighed. "Why don't we head downstairs and let Ian sleep a bit longer?" she suggested. "He was completely worn out yesterday ... and he needs more sleep than most."

Prince wandered over toward the bed and looked concerned at Ian. He blinked up at Serenity, then looked at Ian again. "Are you sure Ian is okay, Serenity?"
Gaunt nods slowly. "I rarely drink either." He pushes himself away from Prince's bed and turns around to start trying to straighten it. "One bottle.. or cup.. or mug, or whatever is about as much as I'll allow myself, just to help me relax at the end of the day."

Serenity giggled and reached over to Prince, drawing him in for a reassuring hug.
"Don't you worry," she murmured reassuringly. "He's been like this since I met him. He just needs his sleep. Before you know it, he'll be wide awake and as active as ever!"
And he had missed his nap the day before, which meant that he was sleepier than usual.
She let go of Prince again and rose to her feet, turning towards Gaunt. "Yes ... a little bit is nice to relax," she agreed, "but more than that for our kind is foolish." She sighed and moved to help him make the bed. "Unfortunately, our race seems to be a race of fools."

Prince nodded and smiled up at Serenity, seeming to be reassured by Serenity's words. And finding the adults' conversation boring, he wandered toward the door and stairs, hoping to find something more interesting. Something like food.
Gaunt nods as he works with Serenity to make the bed. "Mmn. Well, some people seem to think that love is a foolish emotion?" He tilts his head with something of a teasing grin. "So if that's true, then I'd like to think that I'm a fool."
