Bathory seems happy that Ouija is happy for them. She didn't doubt it, the other female has always has a big heart and been generous to a fault. But when mother and a son start arguing between themselves, she moves quickly to take one of their hands in hers, staying between them and glancing back and forth. "Please, don't fight. I think... I think I misspoke. I was asking for you -both- to move closer. Or for me to move closer to the two of you. I want us to be a close family."
She glances over at Minkishi with a heart-warming smile, "I am sure that your mother does not want to intrude on our new and growing family. And that she has a life of her own that she wishes to lead."
Turning those blue orbs to Ouija, her smile softens, "While I respect your independence, please respect your son's love and concern for you. I am not asking for you to move in with us, or even for Minkishi to move in here. Only that we all live closer together."
She looks between the both of them again, smiling at them, "You are both my family now, and I want you both nearby."

Minkishi looked at his mate in surprise. He didn't realized that they were arguing, but in deed they were. He sighed and slowly slumped down into his hair, gripping Bathory's hand tightly. "I'm sorry." He said, glancing at his mother. "It's just a lot to take in right now."
Ouija patted Bathory's hand and looked at Minkishi. "It is. But that's part of growing up. Raising your own family, you're going to make a lot of big decisions. But there's plenty of time for that... Now, how about this delicious meal?"

Bathory smiles at Ouija before moving to bend over the back of Minkishi's chair to wrap her arms around his shoulder, "It will all work itself out, love. So long as we stand together, everything will be fine."
Nodding to Ouija, she straightens and moves to take her own seat, doling out bowls of the stew and fixing plates of salad, passing them to them both before taking her own. "I agree, lets not let the food get cold. Stew is always best when hot. Why don't we eat now and we can discuss living arrangements later." She smiles at them both, "I can't tell you how happy I am to have you both here and sharing in this moment. Thank you, both of you."

"Stew is a wonderful dish. It warms the soul." Ouija mentioned, sipping on a spoonful of the stew. "And it's very delicious, dear. Minkishi is very lucky to have such an amazing cook for a mate."
Minkishi nibbled on the salad silently until his mother began to praise the strew. He took a spoonful and looked over at Bathory. "This is quiet tasteful." He said, almost surprised. Ouija wasn't much a cook with her blindness and Minkishi was clueless in the kitchen, so their meals tended to always be simple and bland.
"Perhaps you can finally put some meat on my poor boy's skinny bones." Ouija teased, making Minkishi blush in embarrassment.

Bathory chuckles softly and lifts a shrug, 'I enjoy it. I find it calming to cook. There's a number of beta in my tank that are wonderful cooks, so I sought them out and asked to learn." She spoons up another bite of her stew and smiles across to Minkishi, "I think I can talk him into eating more of my home-cooked meals. Though I'm not sure he needs much more 'meat' to his bones." Reaching across, she gives his hand a light squeeze, "He's been man enough for me so far..."

Minkishi glanced a Bathory as she grabbed his hand, his spoon still in his mouth. He swallowed and smiled at her compliment. "Perhaps... you could teach me to cook as well. So I can help out more... I imagine cooking isn't that much more different than magic."

Bathory smiles softly at him and gives a small nod, "I would like that, cooking can be so soothing." She looks across to Ouija, "I'm really glad that you came over to visit, and I hope that we'll be seeing more of each other."

"Of course. We're family now. I will always be around." Ouija said, finishing up her meal. "That was very delicious. I don't think I could eat another bite."
Minkishi also finished, smiled at Bathory and squeezed her hand. "I enjoyed the meal very much. Thank you for having us other."

Bathory smiles at them both as she finished her own meal, setting aside the spoon and giving a nod, "It was my pleasure. Why don't I pack up some leftover stew that you can take with you?"
Glancing at Minkishi, she blushes a light pink as she murmurs, "You're welcome to stay the night here, of course, but I'll understand if you don't." Leaning over to brush a kiss across his cheek, she gathers up the empty dishes and goes to make up a container that Ouija can take with her.

Ouija nodded her head in agreement of taking home some left overs. "That would be wonderful."
Minkishi rose to help Bathory with the dishes when she kissed him. He blushed and slowly slumped back into his chair, looking at his mother.
"You should stay." Ouija told him, staring back at her son.
"At least, let me take you home. I don't want you out there in the dark."
Ouija shook her head. "You still worry too much about me. It's time you share that worry for Bathory and your children."

It doesn't take Bathory long to put together a package of food that Ouija can take home with her, though she pauses just inside the doorway when she hears them talking again. After Ouija's last comment, she moves into the room with a smile, "Why don't we both walk you home? I could use a little exercise after a filling meal like that. I'll be getting round soon enough, no reason to help it along, hm?"
She moves over to Ouija, placing the package in her hands then letting one hand fall to the other woman's shoulder, "At least let us walk you through out of this tank. There are so many here that are evil and that don't know you or Uncle to fear his retribution. I would never be able to forgive myself if something happened to you because of those that share this tank." Her eyes flit back to Minkishi with a tender smile for him, "I don't think either of us would be able to get over being the cause for you getting hurt."

"Alright, if you both insist." Ouija patting Bathory's hand on her shoulder before rising from the table. She held the leftover and allowed them to lead the way. Minkishi took Bathory's hand as they walked through the tank. "It's a lovely night." Ouija sighed, looking above her as they walked.

Bathory laces her fingers with Minkishi's as they walk Ouija home, glancing over towards her mate's mother with a smile, "It really is." She looks up into the water overhead, smiling at twinkling lights here and there as small creatures blink in the water. Leaning in closer to Minkishi, she nudges his shoulder lightly, "Maybe we should enjoy a few more nights like this before all of our nights are taken up by the children."
When they reach the edge of her tank, she draws to a stop and glances between Minkishi and Ouija with a smile, "It was so nice to have you over, Ouija, I hope that you'll come over more often." Giving Minkishi's hand a squeeze, she steps back to give them a modicum of privacy.
((Jump ahead after this? Maybe an outing with the fry?))

"We should," agreed Minkishi. "Mother would like that too."
Ouija turned and smiled at them as they near the end of their walk. Minkishi glanced at Bathory before facing his mother. Ouija pulled him into a big embrace. "I've very proud of you, Minkish, and I'm so happy for you." He placed a hand on his cheek. "I know you're really worried right now, but things will work out. I will be here for you, my son." Minkishi remained silent, but he returned her hug and placed a kiss on her head. "Thank you, mother."
Ouija swam over to Bathory and also gave her a big hug. "It was very to lovely to spend the night with you and I look forward to you and Minkishi's future and family." She kissed Bathory on the cheek before waved goodbye as she wandered back to her home.
Minkishi sighed and returned to Bathory's side, giving her a small smile.

Enough time has passed that their eggs have hatched into four energetic little fry. For this morning, Bathory has suggested they take the children out for a walk and perhaps a visit to see their grandmother, Ouija.
Hand in hand with Minkishi, she smiles warmly at their small brood flitting around, playing and giggling and having fun. "Bishi, don't nibble on your sister's fins," she calls out towards one of the fry that has her coloring and his daddy's eyes. Glancing up at Minkishi, she brushes a kiss across his cheek, "Thank you for making my dreams come true. They're so much more precious than I ever hoped."
