Renault blinked, looking over at Bartre. "Oh. Well, that's convenient, but I won't question it." He took the staff, placing the other, borrowed one back with Soren. "Well, Nils, come here. I'll use this on you just in case, there can't be any harm in it."

Amelia nodded once. "Right... in any case... Fire Dragon, could you carry Soren, perhaps? I hate to sound like a broken record, but we really ought to get back to Fefga's." Amelia looked at Nils, then at the others. She hoped that Nils was all right, and not actually poisoned. It was a reasonable assumption, but one she didn't want to make.

Nils nodded slightly, stumbling over to Renault.
Except, he tripped in the process and fell into a pile of snow. He was out cold, due to exhaustion.
(( ... Uhm. I fail.
BUT THERE'S A REASON FOR THAT POST.
I've got to head, and then tomorrow I'll be gone for most of the day. I'm going to be working on finishing gifts in the morning, I've got a party to go to in the afternoon, and I won't be back until after 8 o' clock... n_n;; ))

Renault blinked, then moved forward and crouched beside him, pulling him out of the snow. "Now, that isn't a good thing to do here," he murmured. "Wait until we're back to the house, little one." His other hand came over Nils with the staff, and a faint glow immersed the boy's body for a moment before fading. The bishop then stood, holding the boy in his arms, and moved over to the Fire Dragon, holding Nils out to him. "You would be more comfortable carrying him, wouldn't you?" He paused for a moment. "Though, you are a bit burdened. I can do it if you'd like; or we could switch."

"Much more comfortable. Thank you so much Bishop." Fire Dragon took Nils from Renault, entrusting Soren to the Bishop. They now had two people to carry back, but he couldn't have been more grateful for Renault at the moment. As willing as he was to carry Soren, Fire Dragon didn't want anyone else handling Nils. "This setup is better for you too, no?"

Shastah appeared once more in the sky, and he shot down to land beside the group while Siegell stared at the remains of the tower. "... Damn," he murmured, "You guys are badasses." He shook his head quickly, stroking his fingers through his hair, then looked back. "Hey, I can take somebody if they need it. I'd take Soren or Nils, but I don't know if I could safely keep them on Shastah's back..."

"Mmm, I suppose. I believe Soren would be a bit less surprised to wake up being carried by me than Nils would." The bishop looked over as Siegell and Shastah landed nearby, then shook his head. "I believe we've got these two. . . I'd say that the best candidate for you to take would be Amelia, she deserves a bit of a rest."
((And it provides a convenient excuse for how she got back. n-n))

Siegell managed to convince Amelia to climb up with him, and even wrapped his fur cloak around her because she wasn't used to the wintry wind experienced by wyvern riders.
Together, they shot through the sky, returning to Fefga's to get Amelia inside and warm.
(I smell a support!)

As the group began their return, Fire Dragon refused to take his vision off of Nils, constantly hoping that he awake. But the further they went, the longer Nils remained unconscious, no signs of improvement in his condition. Fire Dragon began whispering to him.
"Kaoru...Oh Kaoru... Everything is going to be okay, Kaoru. You were an incredible sight tonight, Kaoru - truly breath taking. Please recover soon. I don't know what I'd do without you. Kaoru, I... Kaoru, I love you, Kaoru."
Nils still didn't move. The Fire Dragon could only continue to speak to him, hoping that he could at least hear the person carrying him.
