(( well that is because the team that went there before likely had a base, but Draqx has a few ideosyncracies and eccentricities... and watches too many movies like laiens where if you do not know whats in the building allready it more then likely is full of dangerous creatures... but the LZ could be right next door to the previous base as it would need to be close to the site anyways right? Or something to keep the plot moving... ...there are no plot holes... ))

(( hey, I have used plotholium and a trowel before to patch up large plot holes then that... ...there are no continuality errors, explination #404...
...besides, when the syndicate was willing to put basically unlimited resources to get answers Draqx could not help but order the full meal deal... so yeah... if a whole new base was part of the list and it was approved... well its not Draqx fault if no one read through the entire list... well maybe a bit for making the list so long but what can you do eh? ))

Leo nodded and gave Meredith a quick kiss on his cheek before smiling at him and running off. "I should probably get with the other seekers and get working. I...I'll talk to you later." He waved shyly, not wanting to depart his new boyfriend. Leo waited for the others to unboard as Meredith left him and ran off to Draqx's side.

Draqx got clear of the worst effects of the wind from the helicopter and looked around to get a good read on the place and also to double check his suits systmes, there was some strain from the jump from the helicopter, but nothing he could not fix quickly.
Draqx nodded at the student reasearcher and continued looking abouts, keeping track of the deployment on the HUD displayed on the inside of his helmet bubble.
'Deployment looks good, a bit of raggedness in the lines in some spots, but overall not too bad so far, not too bad at all. Planes starting to bear down on approach for dropping the base, and with minimal crosswinds that should be good.'

Lucid made sure that all the students were out of the helicopter before he decided to depart. He climbed out of the helicopter and quickly started to walk quickly in the direction that the others had. That was until something caught his attention, most likely the yukata. Turning his head to the side slightly he could see Taro. His eyes widdened slightly seeing that he wasn't really doing all that well. With a slight sigh he changed his course and walked over in his direction.
He slowly came to a stop a few feet away. "It's good to see you again Taro, but I had hoped you wouldn't go and get yourself injured. Are you alright?" Lucid clearly looked worried which was the usual reaction for him when others got injured. Especially people who he looked up to, Taro was one of those people. "What exactly happened? I heard you were on another mission. I can only hope that you accomplished it with all those wounds." Lucid hoped that despite the wounds Taro was able to finish his mission.
~~~
Zenn watched Consensio not really worrying if she was going to heal his wounds or not. To him it didn't matter if she grew tired of him and disposed of him. Either way, he would be just fine. He nodded slightly at her comment about it not hurting and decided to stay still like she told him. He could feel as Consensio's very soul entered inside his pores. Slowly the wound started to clot and close up, with that most of the pain left as well. At least like this he would be good to fight at her command. He watched as Consensio returned to her body and nodded once more.
"Thank you for fixing me up." He said with a weak smile. Zenn didn't really enjoy saying thank you, but he managed to at least say it to her. Looking at his now closed wounds he smirked a bit. "Yeah, it's better to be ready for them. Wouldn't be very nice of me if I wasn't at my full potential. Now that they've proved they are worthy of fighting, I'm iching to get back into battle."
Leo looked around the landing pad and saw Lucid talking to Taro. He ran over to see what was up and why Taro had already been here. "Hey, Lucy. Hey...Taro! Man, what'd they do to you? Make you fight yourself?" He asked, jokingly, yet concerned. Taro was good at fighting, very good. The fact that anyone could do what they did to him was a mystery to Leo. Bandages and stiches covered his body. "You still on active duty? I mean your standing, and you seem find. But, man...who ever did this must be pretty powerfull, no?" He asked. If there was a force who could do such things to Taro, they were a force to be reckoned with.
Meredith was still smiling by the time he had reached Mr. Smith though he at least tried to suppress it to a more modest, professional smile. He kept pace just behind the M.A.D. scientist, saying not a word but instead trying to observe everything he did. When Mr. Smith gave his evaluation of their set up, Meredith glanced back again with this fresh knowledge of what to be looking for. There may yet come a day when he would have to evaluate these things for himself, unsupervised by a superior. It was not sufficient to rely on Mr. Smith's observational skills.
Haruna had no clue what she had been doing for the last while, no idea what day it was, nor any real clue of what had just happened to her. When she finally came too if you could call it that, she felt different, as if she wasn't the same as before. It didn't take her long to realize that she was standing above her body which was limp on the floor and she gasped and found herself going through the wall behind her. "What the hell!" In utter terror she brought her hands to her face and saw a translucent appearance which made her scream in terror for what seemed like hours while it was in truth but a few minutes. When she stopped she moved forward and went back through the wall to her body and started to look around, still terrified by what was going on.
Unsure of what was really going on she felt it again, she didn't know why but she felt as if this feeling had come to her before. Frozen and floating in place above her body she heard something speak. "Welcome to the world of the dead, for you have finally passed on..." Turning suddenly to her left she saw a cloaked figure of dark black, shadowed face and a giant scythe resting at it's right shoulder. Frightened by the sight she moved back and brought her hands up as if they could protect her. The figure advanced and slowly rose it's hand and pointed at her. "Pass on...." The words made the air cold, something which made Haruna even more frightened for she could actually feel it.
Before Haruna could even say anything in response the figure quickly raised his scythe and struck. As the scythe came towards her Haruna screamed. "I don't want to die!" It was over in a flash, Haruna gasped and found herself once again in her body, the figure gone. "You are not ready to pass, remove your attachments to this world or suffer!" As Haruna shivered and huddled on the floor in total fear her vision suddenly changed. Everything became amazingly clear, not in a way she knew, she could see people moving, or rather feel them, it was so strange that she wondered what was going on. The thought of the figure of death seemingly vanished from her head and she slowly got up and stared in total awe. Everything else around her felt so different, she felt powerful, she felt free for the first time her pains of the past were gone. "Who... am I?" Haruna wondered, everything had become blank, she knew she was dead, but that was all, everything in her head grew foggy and to replace it new thoughts came. "Have I ascended? Have I finally died? No, I am not dead, I am a ghost... one unwilling to pass on." Haruna sat down and carefully crossed her legs and sighed deeply. Her body followed suit, but yet it didn't surprise her in the slightest.
A faint beat echoed from her chest but she felt nothing, she only heard it. "The body I am attached too?" Haruna was confused, she knew things that made no sense, and yet they did. The truth was she had passed on, or tried to at least, but her will to live was to strong, she was a full ghost, now trapped in the world of the living, reborn without any of her memories other then her knowledge of the dead that she and all others are gifted once they attain their true undead form. While Haruna wondered what she should do, she winced and sensed something, strong powers which were calling to her, many powers which were calling to her. "Fellow ghosts? No, they feel different, the feeling is far too different from me." Haruna once again rose to her feet and took a few steps only to realize her clothing was new, undamaged and clean, a projection of her spirit onto the vessel of flesh which she once again possessed, her link to her desire for life, exactly what she asked for. Her mind was there, but yet this body had none, it was now alive, but without a soul it would be forever dead, she was this body's soul now, the thing which kept it alive, which in turn kept her alive and bound to this prison for which she had to either figure out a way to escape from, or continue to haunt until the end of time.
Focusing on the power which was tugging not at her body but her ghostly essence she walked forward forgetting everything around her. It was this power she wanted to see, she wanted to consume it, or maybe use it, she wasn't sure but the urge to go to it was stronger then her will and without thinking she jumped down from the second story room which she had been 'living' in and after landing in the street below quickly jumped again and made it up onto a roof of a building and continued to repeat this feat as she made her way to the powers which were tugging on her.
((She's on her way to you all twisted ))
(( hmm, should the jaws theme be playing then? ))
Draqx watched for a moment more, keeping track of things and nodded when the plane with the cargo to be dropped settled in on a final approach. Draqx streached his fingers and pulled on two metal tabs in his backpack and counter weighted bars slipped dowwn and clicked into position, the momentum swinging out and up to bring two glass looking plates level out to just below wiast hight, then using laser projection a keyboard and trackball system was shone upwards and Draqx started typing, doingthis did not use his Z-gene directly, but rather rather mundane mechanical and electronic systems.
Draqx did this as he could tell when others were using thier power on electronic in his vicinity, and there had been some cases where some powers could be used to detect the use of other powers, and so he did it as a practice in security, after all, if the practice of the exercise was for everyone else to act all on thier toes, the least he could do would be to do so as well eh?
Kiami came back holding her ice spear over her shoulder. “Nothing yet, but it is quiet out there.” She stood on one foot putting her other foot on the very tip of her toes. “So we scared off all the critters in the area, they were already gone, or we already have company.” She shrugged a little, “but since there is a base here” She glanced at Draqx, “they probably already knew that.” She looked at Taro and winced, she knew he was a perfectly capable fighter. “Wow, what happened to you Taro?”
Taro stood he was until the group arrived to him. He figured there were too many people for there to be order during the mission. They just might have to give up co-ordination for the sake of strength, which they certainly had in their numbers. They could split up anyways if they proved to be too big to travel as one group. Taro felt some pain still even though his wounds had been healed mostly, but there was little he could do for the pain.
"I fell," Taro joked, but there was no smile on his face so it felt awkward. "I was sent to a small village near here to battle a demon, his name was Zenn. He ran away before I could finish him off, but I have good information on him and who he works for instead." Taro paused for a second, not feeling comfortable talking about this in front of some of the younger students.
"Draqx, Lucid, come with me," Taro turned to walk away from the group, effectively distancing himself out of earshot from the younger kids. The doctor who he stood with earlier accompanied him closely. The reason he had picked Draqx and Lucid was because they were the most senior members there.
Draqx raised an eyebrow and then turned to Meredith.
'Allright then Mr. Ludd, as senior reasearcher on site for this team while Mr. Taro discusses things with myself and Mr Atray... You will be in charge of setting up the base, the plane should be dropping any minute and if we should return before setup is complete we will decide things from there. I think this should be well within your capabilities, just remember to deligate tasks as you need to, but keep a perimeter, perhaps cycling so noone is bored.'
Draqx nodded at the young reasearcher, knowing that it was a bit of responsibility he had placed, but he thought the student could do it, if he was not to proud to ask for help when it was needed. Then Draqx walked off after Taro, while the drone of the planes engines could start to be heard as it was approaching the dropsite.
Lucid liked the fact that Taro made a joke, that was a good sign coming from him. In a way it let him know that Taro was alright after all. It made his worrying a little less as he heard him speak about what exactly happened. It was great that he had information, but the fact that he got the information and the demon got away meant that maybe they wanted them to know. There were quite a few thoughts running about in his head about what should be done.
Following after Taro he sighed a bit as he came to a stop a few feet away again. "This really isn't the start to the mission I was expecting Taro. Though, that kind of thing can happen from time to time. Anyways, who does this demon work for? Any information on him might be good in the future if we end up fighting this Zenn character."
((I don't think it's a good idea to move ahead with the story Christian when Taro hasn't even said anything. Plus, things shouldn't just happen randomly without everyone in the rp knowing about a new subplot with screeching noise.))
