Whether or not Raisuke could get close to Giglamesh or not would never stop him from putting forth that effort. Which is why is just angered him when Giglamesh's chakra started acting like a barrier against his attack. Rai had pushed with all of his muscle against Gig's resistance. There was no way in hell that it could have been just normal chakra that he had used.. could it? There was something different about it. It was much more dense. There was a lot more strength in it. It would then throw off Raisuke's balance from his next attack. As he swung his leg at the back of Gig's leg it would act like a spring this time more than just a cushion. Rai's own momentum would go against him and cause him to spin on in the opposite direction. Almost immediately afterward he would hear Gig's stone stocks break and crumble to his feet. Rai waited there knelt down because Gig had started to talk. He just wondered as he listened if he broke the stocks or if Gig had done it himself because the training was over. Either way, he heard what his new orders were. He simply decided to obey it, as if he was a soldier and Gig was commander. That and before he could even confirm that he heard what Gig said it seemed he had vanished before Raisuke's eyes.
Rai let out a sigh when he saw that his sensei had completely vanished for the time being. He stretched out, rubbing where he had became all bruised up. All the while walking to collect what shuriken he could find from the previous battle site. Sifting through the snowy dirt. Then he nonchalantly walked over to where his ninjato was. Picking it up and spinning it in his palm to get into the right direction to slide it into his sheath smoothly. He walked over to Amaya and sighed. "What I said was pretty rude. I apologize. I guess ill see you at the tower, or maybe you could try to keep up with me." With that his body turned into a small poof of snow. He left tracks in the snow as he started moving up the line of the river. Hopefully on his way back up his chakra might replenish.

It was as they said.. no rest for the wicked. Of course it was only hypothetical in the current situation. He didn't really have time to wait for Amaya. That was the excuse it would more than likely use at a later point. But for the time being he just wanted to avoid any follow up questions to what Gig had said to her about Raisuke, Amaya and Shizuka. This was training time, not social time. As much as Rai talked when given the chance he could allow himself to be caught up in conversation when it was time to train. His A.D.D was bad enough on its own without receiving aid from outside sources. Raisuke's could feel what was below his feet. He felt the snow and icy dirt below his feet start to fade and the temperature rise slightly. He had made it to the Canyon. He was back close to the village. He slowed down to just walking.. because he was pretty tired.

Raisuke's words were straight forward and irking, but true nonetheless. Amaya had nothing to say in response to his words, only the earned energy to stand back to her full height, rolling her shoulders. The three of them were clansmen. They had formed their separate relationships with each other at separate times, all brought together for one common goal and purpose. This was the true mastery of the world of shinobi. Everything relied on a delicate balance. The more Amaya trained and experienced different situations, the more all of these fundamental truths began to make sense to her. Excelling in her training would require focus beyond any worrisome tendencies, because the truth was that if this training situation was reversed, she wouldn't have anything much different to say to Rai about shifting his focus from her safety to his jutsu training. So when he rushed off to face Giglamesh head on for another attack, Amaya returned her efforts to her jutsu training. She took in a deep breath, closing her eyes to quickly run over in her mind what had gone wrong with that attempt on her end, aside from letting herself become distracted.
Moments later, her eyes snapped open in concentration, the battle in the background a presence that was unavoidable but not her concern at the moment. That was until Giglamesh's low voice cut through the distance and the wind to her ears. It would seem that training would continue elsewhere. Amaya gave a grunt, kicking a hunk of snow into ice flurries. She was aggravated with herself, but she would get over it. Dwelling on these things for too long would effect overall performance and she wasn't going to go making the same errors again and again if she could help it. She would use the travel time to get her head right and prepare herself for their next training task and the completion of the Getsuei Odori.
Amaya moved to gather up her cloak and satchel that she had left nearly forgotten in the snow, while Rai collected his belongings as well. He approached her to apologize and even threw a challenge her way before taking off down the pathway back to the canyon. She smirked pulling her mask to cover the lower half of her face for the journey back and slung her satchel over her shoulder before running off.

As she ran, her thoughts shifted focus drastically and frequently. Amaya couldn't help but wonder why it was difficult to leave Rai to his duties without worrying over him all of a sudden. They had become closer over time, but she didn't have any less faith in his abilities than she did before, so why start worrying now? OF course she would have some sense of concern for Giglamesh whenever he was off on doing his thing. Afterall, as poweful as the guy was, he was still mortal. But with Rai it was...different.
Amaya had a feeling there was a very simple answer to that question, but she'd much rather dwell on it more later, like when she didn't have other important matters to attend too. She wouldn't let on that any of these thoughts were rummaging about in her mind either, despite how curious she may have been about what Gig could have been implying about Shizuka. What did all of that matter to her anyway right? She would expect that Shizuka and Rai would be close to some degree, along with the other lad, Shin. They had to entrust their lives to each other more often than anyone else. Amaya gave a snort then, shaking her head softly as she realized these latter thoughts were fighting for her attention. "Later" she told herself quietly.
On she went in the race back to the village. She leapt path-blocking boulders and ducked beneath oddly shaped rock formations, all the while the snow continuing to be less and less. Eventually she found that her cloak was keeping her much warmer than comfortable and the dry red earth welcomed her return. She slowed her run to a jog, removing her cloak and tucking it into her satchel as she drew nearer to the village.
