"ok," Chloe turned to Sam after a minute of silence. "So, what do you like to do?" she asked him.
Sam thought about it. he didn't have much time for extracarricular activity before. "Umm... I guess I like to hunt." he hid a smile. "I'm not really sure what else, I- I haven't had much time to get out." he explained.
"Oh," Chloe sighed. She didn't like hunting.
"What about you?" Sam asked her. "I like video games." she said sheepishly. "and listening to music and watching scary movies." she smiled.
Sam returned the smile. "What type of scary movies? like the susense or mystery or-"
"I like the vampire and werewolf ones." she cut him off. "I've always wondered why they never get along though."
"They probably had a war before or something. Y'know hard feelings and all, specially the vampires. thy could literally keep a grudge for eternity." Sam laughed.
"You talk like they're real." Chloe noted. she wondered if he'd admit it to her.
"What, no I meant the legend." Sam explained, "I wonder who came up with the idea of the two races."
"I don't know." Chloe replied.

Soma found a urinal in the bathroom, unzipped his pants and let loose. When he was done he looked through the bathroom window and saw a shadowy figure moving about. Soma then took out his revolver and fired a few shots at the window, he then zipped his pants up and ran for the infirmary.

Sam and Chloe heard the shots and Sam jumped off the bed. he guided Chloe into the far corner of the infirmary and stood infront of her.
"Whats going on?"Chloe asked. Sam could hear the fear in her voice.
"I don't know but stay out of sight, Soma and I will take care of it." he sniffed the air, but couldn't smell anything yet. he crouched down in a defensive stance and prepared himself.

Soma burst through the infirmary door, gun in hand. "Where are my bullets?!" he cried.

Sam stepped forward and tossed Soma the case that held his bullets. "Whats going on?" he asked Soma.

"I don't know! There was something moving outside and it sure as hell didn't sound human. Doesn't sound like any animal I've ever heard either." said Soma as he quickly loaded his revolver.

Sam narrowed his eyes, trying to think of what it could be. "What about her?" he asked Soma flicking his head to Chloe.

Sam sighed. he was getting antsy. he wanted to fight and he felt like he had to babysit the human. *What about the other students?* he wondered. "I'm sorry." Chloe whispered.
Sam turned to her, "Whatare you talking about?"
"You have to watch me, but you want to fight. You like hunting don't you?"
Sam breathed a laugh, "Yeah, but don't worry about it. We won't let you get hurt." He reassured her.
Chloe took a deep breath. "Don't worry about trying to protect my innocence."
Sam looked at her in confusion, "What do you mean?" he asked.
"I know- I know what you are, so if you need to don't be afraid to change on my account. And I won't tell anyone so you don't need to worry about your secret getting out." Chloe confessed.
Sam stared at her. "How did you?"
"I over heard you and Soma talking out in the hall and then the silver and the mirror and- well you guys should learn to cover up better."
Sam barked a laugh, "oh dear. wow, I can't believe this."
"I won't tell!" Chloe repeated.
"I'm not worried about that, I just can't believe that we made it so obvious."

"Don't worry Chloe you have Soma the vampire and Sam the werewolf to protect you." Soma said smiling. "I'm going out." he said as he put a silver knife in his pocket. He then walked out the door.

Sam shivered. *Ugh, he did that nice guy thing. I wonder if he likes her.* "yeah- what he said." Sam sighed. he wanted to hunt the thing, but he had to protect Chloe. *I suppose that if he really loved her then he'd probably the one guarding her.*

Soma ran down the hall and stopped. He heard claws clacking. "Werewolf." he thought. He came to an intersection and went left he went down the hall slowly. Then something tackled him from behind. "s**t!" he yelled. he turned over and saw the werewolf on his legs. He managed to kick him off but as soon as he did the wolf pinned him to the ground and was on top of him. "Get the hell of me!" he yelled. He looked around for his revolver, he found it but it was out of reach. Then the werewolf put it's hand in Somas pocket and he pulled out the stake. Somas face went pale. "Oh god! HELP ME!!!" he shouted as he fought off the wooden stake with his hands. "HELP ME GOD DAMMIT!!" he shouted.

Sam wasted no time in changing as soon as he heard Soma cry out for help. "Stay here!" he barked at Chloe. his clothes ripped and he bounded out of the room. he hit the other werewolf like a train, the stake flying away. Sam pinned the other to the floor and growled at him. *show us your face!* he told him. the other looked confused. *you paired with a vampire?*
*Nevermind that, why did you attack? change back so that we can all hear you!* Sam demanded.

Soma quickly ran over to his revolver and picked it up. "Sam move out of the way." he said calmly.
